Pamela Geller: "You cannot ask me to sacrifice my freedom so as not to offend savages" UPDATE: Fight the Islamic supremacist attempt to silence Geller

From Jihad Watch / Posted by Robert Spencer

Pamela Geller on Fox and Friends this morning explains how Barack Obama is sanctioning the motive behind the murderous Muslim riots by trying to silence the Muhammad filmmakers.

UPDATE: Islamic supremacist hate propagandist Reza Aslan is in a tizzy, calling upon his marks to harass Tucker Carlson for having Geller on. Aslan's tweets are "protected" so that I cannot see them, but he cannot protect against my Zionist black arts:

AslanGeller.jpg

Once again, the pathetically outmatched Aslan lies about his foes who defend freedom. Watch the clip and see: Pamela Geller is not saying that Obama's "promotion of Shariah, luv for Islam led to Emb attack." She is making an entirely reasonable point: that by going to YouTube and trying to get them to take the Muhammad video down, and by having the filmmaker arrested, Obama is sanctioning the motive behind the embassy attacks: to intimidate the West into criminalizing criticism of Islam and adopting Sharia blasphemy laws.

Aslan's purpose here is to harass Carlson so much that he will not dare have Pamela Geller on again. So fight back for truth and freedom: tweet @tuckercarlson and thank him for featuring Geller telling truths that others fear to tell. While you're at it, tweet @rezaaslan and tell him what you think of his smears and defamation of freedom fighters, and his water-carrying for Sharia censorship.

Middle East Mayhem: Congrats Obama,You Built That

By: Doug Giles  / Townhall Daily

You do? So do I. How weird. We should become best friends.

Facebook me.

Anyway … it turns out that the “freedom lovers” Obama coerced lots of Americans to rally behind (and whom he also pimped out with billions of sawbucks from America’s pitiful piggy bank) were bat crap crazy.

I’m talking crazy on steroids crazy—and not just peaceful crazy like Joe Biden but rather hide-sharp-objects-from-them, menopausal wolverine sow crazy.

Yep, these “yearners for democracy” turned out to be radicals of radicals who’d like nothing more than to eradicate the U.S. and Israel and establish a global bounce house for all things Muslim.

Whoopsie, eh Mr. President? You kind of misjudged that one, señor.

At least I hope Obama misjudged their end game because if he had even an inkling that they would quickly blossom into full-blown anti-America/Israel hate machines then that would make some folks think that our president … um … uh … doesn’t have our … how shall I say … our best interests or our allies’ best interests at heart.

I’ve gotta admit that at the beginning of the Arab Spring I thought these freedom lovers seemed a bubble off level. I mean … I didn’t want to judge, but I wasn’t getting that Jeffersonian vibe from the video feeds coming across the wire; it was stuff like burning the American flag, raping one of our female correspondents, looting their pyramids and decapitating multitudinous mummies that caused me some consternation.

But that’s just me, and who am I? I could be wrong. Or a racist. Or both. Maybe the Arab Spring—like Obama’s economic policies—just needs a little more time to pan out. That’s probably it.

However, the events of this past week in Cairo and Benghazi on September 11th kind of make me feel like this “Spring” is stuck on stupid, and now, thanks to Obama’s backing, we have one violent, jacked-up mess on our hands—one that won’t be remedied easily … and one to which we can point to the president as someone who built that.

The Media's Rape of Reality

By: Derek Hunter  / Townhall Daily

I didn’t want to write this column. I definitely didn’t want to use these words. I wanted to write about something else, but after the events of this week, I had no choice.

I am here to report a rape. To protect President Obama from the failure of his administration to anticipate or respond appropriately to the attacks on our embassies in the Middle East, the media has absolutely raped the truth.

Americans were targeted and murdered by radical monsters around the globe. The president did nothing about it. The White House had at least a 48-hour advance warning this was coming. It told no one. It didn’t warn the diplomats or increase security at the embassies. It didn’t warn the complicit governments – and they are as involved in this as the mobs and murderers themselves – of potential consequences.

And when the attacks were over? The president took all of one hour of out of his busy fundraising/campaign schedule to address this matter. Then, it was off to Las Vegas and back to his rich friends to shake the money maker.

Let me be clear, every drop of blood spilled by Americans as a result of the actions of these monsters drips through the hands of this administration before it hits the ground.

There’s no need to recount the story now, except to say the president, the secretary of state and their auditioning second-term press secretaries in the media burnt more calories this week attacking an American in California for exercising his First Amendment right to free speech than they did condemning the murderous mobs or their enablers in their respective governments.

Whatever outrage they had leftover was reserved for Mitt Romney for committing the unforgivable sin of standing up for American values in the face of terrorism and speaking out against it hours before the President did. That the President’s campaign attacked Romney for standing up for American values a full 8 hours before the President condemned the attacks on and murder of Americans isn’t a story.

Until a better word is invented, disgusting will have to do.

Within 48 hours of the first attacks the Justice Department had tracked down the filmmaker and leaked his name to the media. The media dutifully reported it as if they’d found an escaped Nazi. Of course that analogy doesn’t fit perfectly as escaped Nazi are granted the presumption of innocence.

After all, all the filmmaker did was make a bad movie despotic governments we helped empower could use to incite rioting and direct the anger away from their own incompetence and toward the greatest force for freedom the world has ever known. Through state controlled media, they played this unknown video endlessly and spread it throughout the region. All the while, our President skipped nearly 60 percent his national security briefings. Turns out maybe you can’t get by on the Cliff notes on those briefings. Maybe you do have to show up.

But Mitt Romney spoke first, and that was the story the media covered.

It made little mention of how the Justice Department found and outed the anonymous American supposedly “responsible” for all this in just two days but, after looking for two years, still can’t find out who authorized Fast And Furious within their own ranks. It found no fault with the president returning to his real duties – campaigning and fundraising – after he’d devoted just an hour to the most significant security threat of his administration. Had a fiction writer scripted the media’s coverage even they wouldn’t have had the nerve to be so brazen as to attempt something so corrupt.

Now, the violence is spreading, and the president has no idea how to react. He’s sinking in concrete, campaigning and fundraising while the Middle East burns. But he thinks Mitt Romney spoke too soon? That’s it somehow a gaffe that Romney grasped the implications and the outrage of the situation a full workday before the president could be bothered even to release a statement? That’s somehow a Romney gaffe, but the President being uncertain if Egypt is our ally or not barely registers?

President Obama has learned well from great propagandists in the past: When the chips are down, invent a phony outrage to distract the public.

Follow the pattern:

As more stories of violence and dismissed warnings come in, more criticism of Romney comes out.

As our credit is downgraded again, more criticism of Romney comes out.

As the Federal Reserve announces plans to print $40 billion a month in a third attempt at “quantitative easing” to right the president’s broken economy, more criticism of Romney comes out.

No matter what happens, no matter how detached our president gets from the job he seeks to keep for four more years … no matter how many people die…we still haven’t seen enough of Mitt Romney’s tax returns.

That’s how sick the media has gotten.

Does the president defend our freedom? No. He asks YouTube to review the video to see if it violates the user agreement and can be taken down. Isn’t it amazing how the first instinct of liberals in any situation is to lionize extremists abroad and censor our speech at home? YouTube, showing a strong commitment to the Constitution than the man who swore an oath to “preserve, protect and defend” it, said it wouldn’t remove this horribly produced and acted Z-movie. Good for them standing up for the First Amendment. Bad for the media for trying to re-elect a man who turns his back on the very principle that protects its very existence.

The president has not acted like a president in this crisis, he’s acted more like a spoiled child told for the first time to eat his vegetables. Everything else he’s faced in office – abysmal economic data, the 2010 election, the unpopularity of his actions and policies – could be spun or somehow parsed to create whatever new data-metric reality he wanted because his media mouthpieces were only too happy to spread it.

But those events didn’t have smoke, fire, video and a body count the world can’t easily ignore.

The media’s spin will work on idiots, but the rape of reality can’t and won’t work on anyone with more IQ points than teeth. People, Americans, YOU, need to spend time every day between now and the election talking to anyone with at least one working ear who hasn’t yet decided how to vote and explain to them what is really happening. Donating money is great. Planning to vote yourself is key. But spreading the word to those open to hearing it and making sure they cast an educated vote is crucial.

Democrats don’t want voters to be educated or informed … thus the fight over voter ID laws. They want you to eat your gruel, take your medicine and re-elect the president because he knows more about what’s better for you than you do. With so many Americans now suckling the government teat, that easy message has a receptive and large audience. We have to be larger this November or our nation surely will be smaller in the future.

Op-ed:
The Freedom Tower rises
By: Diane Sori

Yesterday, having just arrived in NYC on a personal matter, I made it a point to drive by Ground Zero to see once again the rise of the Freedom Tower.  Much progress toward completion of the tower had been made since last year's September 11th Ten Year Memorial Service.

Seeing the new tower rise majestically into the air brought back many memories...some good, some bad, some sad, and some of sheer anger and rage that remain with me to this day.

I remember the good...eating at Windows on the World and seeing the landscape of NYC spread out before me...going on a NYC vacation and taking my older son as a young child up to the Observation Deck and seeing his face light up as he marveled that he could touch the clouds.

I remember the bad...the morning of September 11, 2001 watching in horror as two jetliners slammed into the Twin Towers causing 3000 people to be buried under tons and tons of concrete and steel as those magnificent buildings came tumbling down...knowing that none survived, including two dear personal friends of mine.

I remember the sad...crying for days in shock NOT believing that people, any people, could be so vile, so evil as to do something like this to innocents.  What started as a beautiful fall day ended in death on an unknown scale right here in my beloved country...so much death, so much destruction...and I was sad, so sad, for what had the world become to breed such hatred and contempt for my country.

And then I remember the moment the anger and the rage set in...It happened in an instant, like a light bulb going off, for in that second that tears could no longer flow I realized that islam had declared war on my country...on my beloved America.  islam had changed America forever...islam had just for a moment brought America to its knees.

And I damned islam and all its followers for where was the condemnation, where was the apologies, where was their sorrow...there was none then, there is none now.

On September 11th a new breed of patriot and freedom fighter was born, and I am proud to be one of the many.  I will NOT forgive nor will I ever forget the day that all our lives became something very different than what we ever expected them to be.

And driving by the shiny gleaming tower I cursed islam yet again for what it had done to those lost, to the loved ones they left behind, and to my country...my country that is still reeling because of what barbarians did that fateful day in NYC, in Washington DC, and in a field in Pennsylvania.

Oh how I wanted those buildings to be rebuilt NOT as some modern design so different than before but rebuilt as they were...same design, same feeling, same towers reaching for the sky.  The only difference I wanted was for two more floors to be added...one a museum to honor those lost that fateful day and the other just to symbolize that America says, ‘screw you islam...you will NOT defeat us!’   I wanted all to be as it was before...before they came tumbling down...before we all cried.

And that’s what I wanted all these many years until today when someone said, NO, you don’t want them as before, because to build them as before is like it never happened. The buildings may be back but all the people would still be gone. They said the Twin Towers need to be at rest, to be at rest with all the people who died within them.  And they said the new tower, The Freedom Tower, would better serve to remind not only us, but also the ones who come after, that while people died that day, America survived.

Yes, America did survive that horrific day, and maybe the person who said all this is right and oh so wise for what they said made me think, made me think through the tears, made me think through the pain, and made me think with a heart forever broken.  And you know what, maybe we do need to put the haunting image of the Twin Towers to rest...to rest NOT because we forget...NO quite the opposite... to rest because we remember, we remember and yet we survived to honor those who didn’t...to honor those who walk with God yet who will forever be a part of our American soul, our American heart, our American consciousness.

Reality is the Twin Towers are gone; the Freedom Tower rises in their place but there is something comforting in that word freedom...for freedom means ‘We the People’ did survive; freedom means America survived; and freedom means we will carry on in the name of those lost for we will NEVER forget.

And freedom means in the name of God and all that's holy...God Bless America...always.
