This are the two that the FBI said did the Boston bombings...

Is the U.S. Economy on the Verge of Epic Collapse?
Is the U.S. Economy on the Verge of Epic Collapse?
By: Wayne Allyn Root / Townhall Columnist
Here in America we hear the same lies and distortions about the economy as we heard about the EU: “Everything is fine”… “It’s getting better”… “Unemployment is improving”… “The crisis is under control”… and of course, “The recovery is already underway.”

We now know they are delusional lies. Cyprus citizens had their life savings stolen by their own government directly from their bank accounts. In Spain bankruptcies were up 45% in the first quarter.

In Italy public buses were recently forced to return to the depot because there was no money to pay for gas. In Greece 33,000 citizens a month are losing their electricity, for failure to pay the bill. In France the Jobs Minister let it slip that “France is completely bankrupt.” In the UK the economy is headed for a dreaded and unprecedented “triple dip recession.” It is clear Europe is entering a Great Depression.

How far behind can America be? Our media says we are in a “recovery” incessantly. We are told that because the stock market is rising, because housing is enjoying a few signs of life (at bankruptcy prices), and because cars are selling better than the terrible rate they sold at last year, that the U.S. economy is doing well. It’s a mirage.

Stocks are rising because the Federal Reserve is printing $85 billion per month in fake money and dropping it onto Wall Street. Housing is rising because the Fed is buying mortgage-backed securities that no one else wants, to keep interest rates artificially low. Cars are selling because government itself is buying record numbers of GM cars, and handing out billions in checks (welfare, food stamps, disability, and unemployment) to prop up consumer spending.

Take the government checks away and the economy collapses overnight. Sounds like government is our savior- until you realize this is debt that has to be paid back. The only accomplishment is the destruction of our children’s and grandchildren’s future. They’ll be enslaved for life to unimaginable taxes just to pay just the interest on the debt. Thanks mom and dad!

With record-setting debt we should at least be experiencing a recovery. We are not.

The U.S. economy, despite trillions spent to artificially prop it up, is nearing complete collapse:

Last month we added a miserable 88,000 jobs. But much worse, 660,000 Americans dropped off the job rolls...in one month. 90 million working age, able-bodied Americans are no longer in the workforce. 90 million. The workforce participation rate is the lowest since 1979. For men it’s the lowest since 1948 (when record keeping began). Disposable income in January was the lowest since 1959 (since record-keeping began). Under Obama we’re truly “back to the future.”

Record-setting numbers of Americans are raiding their retirement accounts just to survive. Student loan debt is a disaster - with defaults up 36% from a year ago. Homelessness is at record levels in New York City and other urban areas. 16.4 million Americans live in poverty…in the suburbs.

Almost 50 million are on food stamps. 14 million are on disability (the next handout after unemployment runs out). Millions more are on welfare, unemployment, housing allowances, aid to dependent children, and 100 other government hand-outs. Now, add in "free" healthcare. And then there's 22 million government employees whose bloated salaries, free healthcare, and obscene pensions are a gigantic liability for taxpayers- sucking the life out of the economy.

The few jobs being created are McNugget jobs with minimum wages, no benefits, and no job security. It’s now an Obamacare economy with jobs that no one wants.

The politicians’ response?

Obama disbanded his Jobs Council. Really.

Homeland Security bought 2 billion hollow-point bullets. Are these to protect the government from its own citizens when the economy collapses?

New York Mayor Bloomberg passed laws to ban large soft drinks.

And the federal government awards grants to researchers to study why lesbians are fat.

I wish I was joking.

But I say: "Don’t get mad, get even.” It’s time to put together your own “Booming Personal Economy,” which doesn’t depend on the federal government to magically provide you breakfast, lunch and dinner (not to mention free health care and a carefree retirement). The government will run out of money long before we retire – so make sure you don't.

As I explain in my brand new book, The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide, a Booming Personal Economy is what you create by seeing and seizing opportunity, where others see only misery and challenge. It’s what happens when you are dedicated to making lemonade out of lemons. And you’re in luck – because Obama is a lemon.

We’ve got no choice but to make lemonade – there is no other option.

America's Enemies Are Colorblind

By: Larry Elder / Townhall Columnist
America's Enemies Are Colorblind
Investigators cannot yet tell whether the bombings at the Boston marathon, which so far have killed three and wounded more than 170, are the product of domestic or foreign terrorist(s).

But whether foreign or domestic, America's enemies are colorblind.

In supporting President Barack Obama's re-election, The New York Times editorialized about how his smarter, more respectful foreign policy helped to re-brand America in the eyes of the world: "(Obama) introduced a measure of military restraint after the Bush years and helped repair America's badly damaged reputation in many countries from the low levels to which it had sunk by 2008."

Our enemies don't care.

They don't care that then Sen. Barack Obama called the Iraq War a "dumb war."

They don't care that the new Obama administration refused to use the term "war on terror."

They don't care that former Clinton Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said most of the international community thought the U.S. had "lost our minds" because of Bush's supposedly reckless foreign policy. Or that Albright asserted that George W. Bush had made "a big mistake" for labeling Iran, Iraq and North Korea the "axis of evil."

They don't care that Obama's first interview as President was with Al Arabiya, a pan-Arab channel, and that the new President promised "an extended hand" to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran, if only his country would "unclench their fist."

They don't care that Obama doubled-crossed our allies Poland and the Czech Republic by abandoning his predecessor's promise to install a missile defense shield as protection against attacks by Iran and North Korea. The motive? To enlist Russia, which adamantly opposed the defense installations, to help us deter Iran from acquiring the ability to build a nuclear bomb.

They don't care that presidential candidate Obama said, "Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people." Or that the new President angered Israel by publicly opposing the building of so-called settlements: "I think that additional settlement building does not contribute to Israel's security. I think it makes it harder for them to make peace with their neighbors. I think it embitters the Palestinians in a way that could end up being very dangerous." Or that Obama insulted the "intransigent" Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by leaving him standing in the West Wing for more than an hour when he abruptly exited their meeting to have dinner with the first lady and his girls.

They don't care that Obama calls waterboarding "torture" and promised to end the practice (after Bush already promised to do so). Or that one of presidential candidate Obama's many "I'm-not-Bush" promises included a commitment to swiftly close Guantanamo Bay.

They don't care that Obama embarked on what some called an "apology tour," during which he said: "There have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive," or that in some cases "fear and anger" after 9/11 "led us to act contrary to our traditions and our ideals."

They don't care that then Massachusetts Sen. and current Secretary of State John Kerry charged that President Bush "intentionally misled the country into war," or that Kerry said he regretted his vote for the Iraq War resolution because he failed to realize how badly Bush would "f---" it up.

They don't care that Obama literally bowed in greeting foreign leaders in an attempt to show the world that America has a new, more humble foreign policy, where, as Obama put it, in the past we too often "dictated" to other nations.

Our enemies don't care that President-elect Obama blamed Bush for failing to improve our relationship with North Korea. On his president-elect transition website, Obama said: "And if America is willing to come to the table, the world will be more willing to rally behind American leadership to deal with challenges like confronting terrorism and Iran and North Korea's nuclear programs."

They don't care that the American left hated Bush. Just before Obama's election in 2008, The New York Times editorialized: "The United States is battered and drifting after eight years of President Bush's failed leadership. He is saddling his successor with two wars, a scarred global image and a government systematically stripped of its ability to protect and help its citizens."

They don't care whether our commander in chief is a swaggering, ignorant cowboy incapable of pronouncing the word "nuclear" -- or whether he or she is an articulate, urbane Ivy League-educated lawyer.

Obama's former pastor and self-described "spiritual adviser" knows how our enemies feel. The Sunday after 9/11, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright said from the pulpit: "We are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back into our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost." Osama bin Laden or Timothy McVeigh couldn't have put it better.

Today, in parts of the Muslim and Arab world, America's favorability numbers are even lower than under the "divisive" Bush. Iran still insists on pursuing its nuclear program, with tension between the U.S. and North Korea worse than at any time since the Korean War.

Americans may argue and scrap over issues like minority "underrepresentation" and whether this justifies race-based preferences. But Boston reminds us: America's enemies are colorblind.

Pamela Geller: The Epic Failure of the Intel Agencies on the Boston Bombing

From Jihad Watch / Posted by Robert Spencer

"The billions that Americans spend for the CIA, FBI, DHS, NSA, JTTF, and all the other various counterterrorism agencies, and they don't have a clue? All they have for us is 1-800-CALL-FBI? This is unconscionable."

"The Epic Failure of the Intel Agencies on the Boston Bombing," by Pamela Geller at Breitbart, April 16:
I find it very disconcerting that thirty-six hours (as of this writing) after the Boston terrorist bombing, law enforcement and counterterrorism officials are running hotlines and calls for "anyone seen with an unusually heavy, dark bag" in the Boston area. A $50,000 reward has been offered for clues leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator. Officials are saying that this case is “wide open.” Wide open? Really?
This is where the status of the investigation is. In Europe, and in Israel, whenever there is a terrorist attack, they have someone or some group in their sights or in custody every time. 3/11 in Madrid, 7/7 in London, the Glasgow jihad plot – every jihad attack and jihad plot in Europe, European authorities are right on it, identifying and apprehending the perpetrators. They know exactly who the bad guys are. They know exactly where to go. This is a historical first: that America is not dramatically ahead of the curve, but dramatically behind the curve. So American citizens are now considered expendable just the way our soldiers are in Afghanistan. It should bother every American that Europe and Israel are so far ahead of us in intel that we're begging CNN and Fox for clues -- and apparently detaining people who have nothing to do with the bombing, raiding their homes, taking bagfuls of evidence out, and then saying, "Never mind."
Really? The billions that Americans spend for the CIA, FBI, DHS, NSA, JTTF, and all the other various counterterrorism agencies, and they don't have a clue? All they have for us is 1-800-CALL-FBI? This is unconscionable. If that's where we are, disband these incompetent, inane agencies that call jihad "workplace violence" and name Atlas Shrugs as a "domestic hate group," when in fact Atlas Shrugs is battling violence and mass murder across the world. How did this happen eleven years after 9/11?
We know that the bomb mimics the IED's in Afghanistan and Iraq. We know that it is a similar bomb that Faisal Shahzad, the Times Square jihad car bomber, used to try to murder hundreds, if not thousands. News reports from Boston hospitals said that “patients had completely mangled and destroyed extremities.” We know that the recipe for this bomb was published in the glossy al-Qaeda magazine, Inspire. These bombs were designed to cut through bone and flesh and mutilate as many humans as possible.
And we have nothing almost two days into the bombing? As an American, I'm ashamed.
It's unconscionable that they would allude to jihad with the taking into custody of the Saudi national, who is a devout Muslim from Medina -- and this was run in mainstream media -- and then say, "nevermind." Of course counter-jihad websites would run these stories. It's what we do. But the last thing we want to do is smear anyone, because we have experienced the very same smear. If Abdulrahman Ali Alharbi was completely innocent of any involvement in the attacks, law enforcement officials bear a tremendous responsibility for the besmirching of his name.
Who's running the investigation? The Keystone Kops? The question is: was this attack a jihadi operation, or are we facing some brand new threat that we have never seen before in the United States?...

Steve Emerson: Saudi national questioned in Boston Marathon bombings to be deported on national security grounds next week

From Jihad Watch / Posted by Robert Spencer

Steve Emerson just said on Hannity that a senior official in the agency that is conducting the deportation that Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Harbi, the Saudi national who was detained in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings and then was declared a "witness, not a suspect" after his home was searched, is going to be deported next Tuesday on national security grounds.

Why deported and not prosecuted? To keep our "allies" the Saudis happy. After all, Al-Harbi has numerous jihad terror connections, as well as friends in high places.

Was this the deal that was worked out between John Kerry and the Saudis at their meeting yesterday that was suddenly closed to the press?
Obama Irate as Senate Votes Down Background Checks / Newsmax

By Greg Richter and Paul Scicchitano

An angry President Barack Obama denounced Senate Republicans on Wednesday for failing to pass stricter background checks on gun purchases, calling it a “pretty shameful day” for Washington.

Speaking in the Rose Garden as the families of some of the victims of the Newtown, Conn., shootings looked on, Obama vowed to press on in the fight for tougher gun laws.

“Families that know unspeakable grief summoned the courage to petition their elected leaders,” he said, standing alongside former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who left Congress after suffering a life-threatening gunshot wound to the head. “A few minutes ago a minority in the United States Senate decided it wasn’t worth it. They blocked common-sense gun reforms even when these families looked on from the gallery.”

Earlier, Senate Republicans, backed by rural-state Democrats, blocked legislation to tighten restrictions on the sale of firearms.

In recent weeks, the families of some of the victims of the December shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School pressed lawmakers with stories of personal loss, as Second Amendment advocates countered that none of the proposed changes would have stopped the grisly tragedy.

Attempts to ban assault-style rifles and high-capacity ammunition magazines also faced certain defeat in a series of showdown votes.

The background check measure commanded a majority of senators, 54-46, but that was well short of the 60 votes needed to advance. A total of 41 Republicans and five Democrats pulled together to scuttle the plan.

“The gun lobby and its allies willfully lied about the bill,” Obama said, referring to fears by some that the law would allow for creation of a federal gun registry.

The president alluded to polls that peaked at 90 percent of Americans supporting expanded background checks for convicted criminals and the severely mentally ill. He said “90 percent” of Democrats supported the bill, but “90 percent” of Republicans opposed it.

“There were no coherent arguments as to why we wouldn’t do this,” Obama said. “It came down to politics.”

The National Rifle Association issued a statement shortly after Wednesday's vote calling the Manchin-Toomey-Schumer proposal “misguided” and saying that the measure would have criminalized “certain private transfers” of guns between honest citizens.

“As we have noted previously, expanding background checks, at gun shows or elsewhere, will not reduce violent crime or keep our kids safe in their schools,” said the statement issued by Chris W. Cox, the NRA's chief lobbyist.

“The NRA will continue to work with Republicans and Democrats who are committed to protecting our children in schools, prosecuting violent criminals to the fullest extent of the law, and fixing our broken mental health system,” according to the statement. “We are grateful for the hard work and leadership of those senators who chose to pursue meaningful solutions to our nation’s most pressing problems.”

Obama said that most Americans think that the tougher background checks are already required  by law.

While Wednesday's bill would not have prevented the Sandy Hook tragedy, and would not prevent all future gun deaths, he said it should have been passed to save lives.

“This legislation met that test. And too many senators failed theirs,” Obama said.

The president vowed to work without Congress if necessary to do more in his effort to cut gun violence. He said the White House will address barriers to states participating in the existing background check system, give law enforcement more information about lost and stolen guns, and help put emergency plans for schools in place.

“What happened in Newtown can happen anywhere,” Mark Barden, the father of murdered 7-year-old Daniel, said before the president’s remarks. “Any dad in America can be in my shoes.”

Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid also blasted Republicans for the vote.

“I want everyone to understand this is just the beginning. This is not the end,” he told reporters after the vote. “Ninety percent of Democrats here on the floor stood with 90 percent of the American people for expanding background checks. I appreciate very much a handful of Republicans that crossed the aisle to stand with us on this common-sense issue.”

He promised to keep up the fight for background checks. “The fight has just begun. It's not going away,” said Reid.

“We will win this fight,” added Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York. “We will not rest until we win.”

A final farewell to the 'Iron Lady' and Obama isn't there                                                                                                                        By: Diane Sori

Sadly, but with honor and accolades, one of last great leaders was laid to rest...

Revered and reviled in death as in life, the 'Iron Lady, the woman who rescued Britain from her postwar economic decline, was honored yesterday day as the bells at St. Paul's Cathedral nobly rang in honor of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher...rang as a procession route lined with British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force personnel stood solemnly by paying their respects.

Lady Thatcher’s funeral, a ‘ceremonial’ one with military honors (equal to the ceremonies that marked the passing of the Queen Mother and Princess Diana) was NOT an official state occasion per se despite the military trappings.  However, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, who by tradition do NOT attend the funerals of ‘commoners' NO matter how celebrated that 'commoner' was, broke with that tradition and were among the more than 2,000 mourners comprised of dignitaries from 170 countries (including 11 serving prime ministers and 17 serving foreign ministers), attended the Memorial Service and Mass for Lady Thatcher...but notably absent was President Barack HUSSEIN Obama and Vice-President Joe Biden.

Think back and remember the pictures of Lady Thatcher kneeling at her dear friend Ronald Reagan's casket, deep in thought and remembrances, tears in her eyes as she gently touched his casket with tenderness, honoring the man who she said she loved only second to her husband.  What class, elegance, dignity, and honor she showed that day NOT only to our beloved Reagan, her closest Cold-War ally, but to our America as well, and yet when it was our turn to honor her our current President, First Lady, Vice-president or anyone from this current administration were NOT in attendance to send the respects of the American people.

And why... because tomorrow Barack HUSSEIN Obama has to be in Boston for his all important photo-op at the Memorial Service for the Boston bombing victims.  And as for the others, a US Embassy spokesman said that both the First Lady and the Vice President were "the President’s point people on gun control" adding: "This is a week when there is a lot of movement on Capitol Hill on gun control issues."

So damn what...they should have been there to honor the memory of this great lady...a lady who never wavered in her support and love of America.  This was just another in a long line of disgraceful excuses covering for a disgraceful man who heads a disgraceful administration.

Lets make it clear, Obama was indeed invited...Obama said NO...Obama willingly chose to send low-key representation to the funeral instead of going himself...representatives led by George Shultz and James Baker, who both served as US Secretary of State while Thatcher was in office.  And while former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Vice-President Dick Cheney, and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger attended to pay their respects, along with three Congressional Representatives (Marsha Blackburn, Michele Bachmann and George Holding), these notables are either from former administrations or are, as in the the case of the Representatives, way down on the protocol list.

And what a slap in the face to Britain, our closest ally, for Lady Thatcher was a staunch and dedicated ally of the United States, of capitalism, and of the free market system we base our economy upon.

A proper show of respect to the memory of Margaret Thatcher was of utmost importance, but proper respect is NOT something you can expect from a man who, as a gift from America to her Majesty, gave her a Walkman with his favorite tunes on it.

Classless, clueless, and operating within his own narcissistic orb of shunning and disrespecting those country's and leaders who support America's ideals instead of his brethren's ideals, this man and his wife are an embarrassment to America so maybe his NOT being at Margaret Thatchers funeral was actually a blessing in disguise.
