From Truth Seekers

I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution.” - Barrack Hussein Obama

Obama took the Presidential Oath, swearing to “.. preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States” but has:

  • Obama took Chairmanship of UN Security Council – Violation of Section 9.
  • ACA (Obamacare) mandate – SCOTUS rewrote legislation and made it a tax because there is no Constitutional authority for Congress to force Americans to engage in commerce. SCOTUS has no authority to Legislate or lay taxes. Article I Section 1 & 8.
  • Contraceptive, abortifacients mandate violation of First Ammendment
  • Healthcare waivers – No president has dispensing powers
  • Refuses to acknowledge state’s 10th Amendment rights to nullify Obamacare
  • Going after states (AZ lawsuit) for upholding Federal law (immigration) -10th Amendment.

  • The Independent Payment Advisory Board (appointees by the president). Any decisions by IPAB will instantly become law starting in 2014 – Separation of Powers, Article 1 Section 1.
  • Congress did not approve Obama’s war in Libya. Article I, Section 8, First illegal war U.S. has engaged in. Impeachable under Article II, Section 4; War Powers Act – Article II Section 3.
  • Obama falsely claims UN can usurp Congressional war powers.
  • Obama has acted outside the constitutional power given him – this in itself is unconstitutional.
  • With the approval of Obama, the NSA and the FBI are tapping directly into the servers of 9 internet companies to gain access to emails, video/audio, photos, documents, etc. This program is code named PRISM. NSA also collecting data on all phone calls in U.S. – Violation of 4th Amendment.
  • Plans to sign U.N. Firearms treaty – 2nd Amendment.
  • The Senate/Obama immigration bill (approved by both) raises revenue – Section 7. All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives
  • Obama altered law – (A president has no authority to alter law) Delayed upholding the Employer Mandate Law (ACA) until 2015 – Individual Mandate will be enforced. A President does not have that authority – Article. I. Section. 1. All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States; The president ”shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed” -Article II, Section 3;  Equal Protection Clause -14th Amendment.
  • Obama altered law - ACA Medicare cuts delayed until 2015. Article. I. Section. 1; Article II, Section 3.

  • Obama ignored judicial order to fulfill legal obligation regarding Yucca Mountain waste. Article II, Section 3
  • Waived Federal provision that prevents U.S. From arming terrorist groups – Article I. Section 1; Impeachable under Article III, Section 3.
A Constitutional law professor (even their students) should know better.  The TRUTH is Obama was not a Constitutional law professor, and clearly he has not respected or protected the Constitution. Obama has broken his oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. Article II, Section 1.

Note: Executive Orders by the president were not designed for, nor do they give a president the authority to use as, a means to override or alter legislation or any other Constitutional violation.

Exploiting Christian Persecution to Demonize Israel

What’s worse than the silence of Western Christians concerning the Muslim persecution of their coreligionists in the Islamic world?  Answer: Cynically exploiting that persecution for a political agenda—in the case of a recent Daily Beast article, to excoriate the state of Israel and its supporters.

One of countless churches around the Islamic world recently set aflame: all because of Israel?

Titled “Why Won’t the West Defend Middle Eastern Christians?” and written by Diarmaid MacCulloch, a Fellow of St. Cross College, the article touches on the persecution of Christians, but primarily as a springboard to attack American Christian support for Israel.  Consider the following excerpt:
… one of the silences which I find most frustrating is precisely the lack of noise from Western Christians about the fate of ancient Christianities in the Middle East. At the heart of the problems in the Middle East is seven decades of unresolved conflict between Israel and Palestine…
Yes, Western silence vis-à-vis the plight of Mideast Christians is as real as it is frustrating, but exactly how is MacCulloch able to jump to the conclusion that the Arab-Israeli conflict is “the heart” of the problem?

What about the well-documented Islamic doctrines that codify the suppression and persecution of Christians and other non-Muslims?

What about the documented fact that Christians under Islam have been persecuted for more than 1300 years before the existence of the state of Israel, in complete accordance to said doctrines?

What about the fact that Christians are currently being persecuted in every corner of the Islamic world, as documented in my monthly “Muslim Persecution of Christians” series—including diverse countries such as Pakistan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, and every corner of Africa—and not just the Middle East?

Surely this is the true “heart of the problem”—and not the tiny and relatively new state of Israel.

Of course, to thinkers like MacCulloch, all the above points concerning Islamic hostility for Christians are not open to consideration, for they portray Islam in a negative light and so must be false (see Crucified Again: Exposing Islam’s New War on Christians for abundant documentation otherwise.)

Instead, MacCulloch offers politically correct boilerplate statements, such as: “Christians are scapegoated for their faith by an extremist militant minority of Muslims, who betray their own religion by intolerance, and who make other Muslims ashamed of what is happening.”

Indeed, it is MacCulloch who betrays himself by characterizing Islam as a “tolerant” faith when any moderately objective reading of doctrine and history—made manifest in daily headlines—all prove the reverse.

Likewise, instead of delving into and exposing the true “heart of the problem,” MacCulloch critiques Protestant eschatology and U.S. support for Israel, the consequences of which “have been particularly dire for the traditional Christianities of the Middle East.”

It would have been more useful and sincere if he had addressed more glaring questions, for example:
  • When the Muslim Brotherhood and its supporters in Egypt torched some 80 churches and murdered Christians, including children—not to mention all the other anti-Christian atrocities they committed before and since—was that because of Israel or something else?
  • When Islamic rebels in Syria terrorize Christians, behead their priests and pastors, break Christian crosses and smash icons—all while shouting Islamic slogans—is that because of Israel or something more innate?
  • When Muslims in Indonesia illegally close off churches forcing Christians to celebrate Christmas in the streets—only to have cow dung and urine hurled at them—is that because of Israel, or something more ingrained?
  • When the Nigerian Islamic group Boko Haram destroys hundreds of churches and slaughters thousands of Christians, and when, on the other side of Africa, the Somali Islamic group Al-Shabaab terrorizes and beheads converts to Christianity—is that because of Israel or something more doctrinal?
  • Indeed, when Christian minorities in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip are abducted and forced to convert to Islam, is that because of Israel or the elephant in the room?
MacCulloch is correct about one thing: many Muslims do hate Israel.  But that hate, far from prompting the persecution of Christians, is actually a byproduct of the same hostility Islamic supremacism engenders for all non-Muslims.  The reason it is much more viral for Israel is because the Jewish state is in a unique position of authority over Muslims unlike vulnerable Christian minorities (as fully explained in this article).

The theme of silence permeates MacCulloch’s Daily Beast article—specifically, that Western Christians are silent concerning the plight of their persecuted brethren.  This silence is true and troubling—and many mainstream American Protestant denominations are certainly guilty of it.

However, instead of exploiting the sufferings of Christian minorities simply to scapegoat Israel—ironically a nation that is in an existential struggle against the very same ideology and forces that persecute Christians—it might have been better for MacCulloch himself to be silent.

I'm going...hope many others will as well...

Lindsey Graham: Obama Can't Ride Out Keep-Your-Plan Controversy
By Greg Richter

President Barack Obama needs to do something fast to restore people's trust, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham says, adding that the president can't just hope to ride out the controversy surrounding his promise that people could keep their insurance plans.

"If this doesn't turn around pretty quickly, President Obama's going to lose his second term," Graham said Wednesday on Fox News Channel's "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren."

"Democrats are going to bail out in droves before next election, and his signature issue's going up in flames if he doesn't fix this," said Graham, a South Carolina Republican.

Van Susteren noted that a "secret meeting" on Wednesday with Senate Democrats facing re-election wasn't on Obama's official schedule. The administration appears to be in a "free fall" and "freaked," she said.

"He can't ride this out," Graham said. "He fundamentally misled the American people about something that was reassuring to hear."

Obama repeatedly said while trying to sell the public on the Affordable Care Act that "if you like your plan, you can keep it." He made the same promise about keeping doctors, and on one occasion punctuated it with the word "period."

Fox News reported that Obama made the promise on at least 24 separate occasions.

"That is now just going up in flames," Graham said, as news reports tell of people getting cancellation notices from their health insurance companies.

Obama tried to clarify this week that he had said all along that people could keep plans if they met the new standards required by Obamacare. But that hasn't flown even with some Democrats facing re-election in 2014, or even with supporters in the entertainment industry

"He's got a revolt in his own party," Graham told Van Susteren.

Graham said the policy people in the White House told the political people months ago that what the president was saying wasn't accurate.

"And the political people supposedly told the policy people, this is the best way to sell this idea; we're going to keep selling it," Graham said. "That, to me, is disturbing."

President Obama will not attend ceremonies at Gettysburg later this month marking the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's immortal address. Thank goodness! Mr. Obama has been getting few kudos of late. His Gallup approval rating has slipped into the thirties. But in this, we can applaud his action.

It is entirely fitting and proper that he should do this. First of all, consider the expense. Mr. Lincoln traveled to Gettysburg in 1863 by rail. He took Ward Hill Lamon, a U.S. Marshal, with him. Mr. Obama would have to go by caravan with with hundreds of staffers. Just think of the gas.

Second, consider the distraction. Mr. Obama has been busy selling ObamaCare and working "24/7" on the next rollout of the Healthcare.gov website. Lincoln had that matter of Lee's army to contend with, but he had no idea of the burdens that fall to our modern presidents. The president will be laboring to assure that the November 30th deadline for a fully functional website is met.

Third, what would he say at Gettysburg? Mr. Lincoln managed to stay "on message" for all 272 words of his address. And he did this all without a teleprompter. President Obama would be strongly urged not to read out any 1-800 toll-free numbers. So what would he say?

How about: "That this government over the people, by Sebelius at HHS, under the Mandate shall not perish from the earth?" Doesn't quite have that Lincolnian ring, does it?

Now, it's not like Mr. Obama doesn't have competent help. He took five hundred staffers to London with him in 2009, including six doctors and four speech writers.

At that time, his car was flown to Britain ahead of the presidential party, as London's Evening Standard reported:

The driver of the presidential limo - Cadillac One - arrived last week to familiarise himself with driving on the left. The £300,000 rocket and bullet-proof car was flown to the UK by a US Air Force transport plane.

I wonder if he liked those six doctors. Did he get to keep them?

I remember the president bowing before the Saudi king at that G-20 Summit in London, but I'm having trouble remembering what he actually said there.

Can anyone jog my memory? With four speech writers, it should have been something special. My guess is that none of those who attended that London Summit can remember what President Obama said there. I doubt that any of the 500 staffers can remember, either.

The driver of the presidential limousine must have remembered to drive on the left, but he probably couldn't tell you what his VIP in the back seat said there.

Here's the hard part. Ask any of the four speech writers what Mr. Obama said in London.

Ask the president himself.

Well, Mr. Lincoln had a way with words. Honest Abe went to Gettysburg and humbly took second billing to the famous orator, Edward Everett, who was the featured speaker on that November 19, 1963. Everett later had the good grace to write the president: "I should like to flatter myself that I came as close to the central meaning of the event in two hours as you did in two minutes."

If Barack Obama had agreed to show up at the Sesquicentennial of the Gettysburg Address, the comparisons might not have been favorable. One of Lincoln's lines might have been quoted: "The world will little note nor long remember what we say here."

And, too, there might have been other embarrassing incidents at Gettysburg. Suppose President Obama were to be greeted by folks who have had their health insurance canceled as a result of ObamaCare. They might have carried signs saying:

Welcome, Honest Barack!

Maybe that's why he's staying home.
Syrian Peace Talks Crumble Before They Even Begin Night Watch/ Townhall Columnist
Night Watch

China-North Korea: For the record. China's top negotiator on North Korean nuclear issues arrived in Pyongyang on Monday. The one-sentence official press report gave no details about the visit by Wu Dawei, China's chief negotiator at long-stalled six-nation talks aimed at ending North Korea's nuclear program.

China's daily foreign ministry press spokesman said the purpose of Wu's visit is to hold "a work discussion" with the North Koreans about future Six Party Talks.

Comment: Wu was last in Pyongyang in late August. Thus far his efforts to arrange an early resumption of the Six Party Talks have failed.

Pakistan: The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan - also called the Pakistani Taliban -- said it would begin targeting the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leadership for its purported support of the United States. The group also said that it would stop holding peace talks with the government and that the death of its leader, Hakimullah Mehsud, in a suspected drone strike would be avenged.

Comment: This is typical of the Pakistani Taliban's responses to past leadership decapitations by US drone strikes. There will be no substantive talks and there will be more attacks and killings.

Russia-US-Syria: The Geneva II peace conference on Syria will not be held in November, according to Russia, Al Arabiya reported on 5 November. This announcement coincided with a Russian accusation that the US could not deliver a unified opposition counter-party that could speak authoritatively for the opposition.

Meanwhile the Damascus government said it has no intention of ceding power at any peace conference.

Comment: The Syrian opposition leaders outside Syria are in disarray and are disrespected by the leaders of the fighting groups in Syria. There will be no talks in November.

Egypt: Egyptian media sources have reported a "state of calm" in Cairo on 5 November following clashes on the 4thin reaction to the first trial session of ousted President Mursi. Eight people were injured but no deaths have been reported.

Meanwhile, a pro-Mursi alliance called for staging massive protests in Egypt and abroad in support for Mursi "in the face of coupists."

Comment: The anti-government protests appear to be dwindling. Mursi's first court appearance should have occasioned more protests than have been reported, if Mursi and the Brotherhood had the support they claim.

The lesson for the government is that Mursi's trial will not generate significant civil disorder provided the court controls the activities in the gallery of observers and the press.

Losing by a hair…winning by a RINO
By: Diane Sori

We won New Jersey…sort of. We lost Virginia by a hair…a hair split by an anything but Libertarian candidate put into the race strictly to fracture the Republican vote.

And fracture it he did for if Robert Sarvis’ 6.6% of the vote had gone over to Cuccheneli, Virginia would have turned RED…but he ran just so that would NOT become reality.

But in New Jersey…the Garden State…sitting Republican Governor Chris Christie steam-rolled over his opponent, Democratic State Senator Barbara Buono, by over 20 points, securing a second term in office. Sounds good on the surface but one needs to look deeper as Christie is the epitome of the proverbial RINO…a RINO with presidential aspirations…and a RINO is the last thing we need in the White House following the disaster that is the Obama presidency.

Yet Christie became the first ‘so-called’ Republican in 25 years to win more than 50% of the New Jersey vote by bringing minorities, women, and Democrats…who outnumber Republicans among registered voters by more than 3 to 2…to his side in what has become known as ‘pragmatic bipartisanship’…a modus-operandi where it’s now been deemed politically correct to begin the so-called ‘healing process’…a process where despite obvious political differences both parties can, should, and must work together for mutually agreeable policies that benefit ‘We the People’ they were elected to serve.

Ummm…aren’t we supposed to that at all times NOT just when it’s been deemed politically correct to do so…just saying.

So while it does sound good in theory the reality is that ‘pragmatic bipartisanship’ when used by a RINO becomes the sell-out of core Republican principals and values replacing them with the touchy-feely nonsense that is the hallmark of the Democrats, but it worked for Christie in his left-leaning state that Obama carried by more than 17 points in 2012.

And it’s sad to say but when it's all said and done we have to take our ‘wins’ wherever we can, so better a RINO for New Jersey’s governor than an out-and-out progressive Democrat I guess.

Now as for Virginia, there I have a real bone to pick for we had a chance to turn Virginia RED and due to entrance of a Democratic ‘plant’ into the governor’s race Virginia became a rub it in our faces BLUE.

Democrat Terry McAuliffe was elected Virginia’s governor by a margin of 48% to 46% (1,066,149 to 1,010,929) over Ken Cuccinelli, Virginia’s conservative attorney general. And while Virginia has historically been a conservative-leaning ‘swing state’…a state that backed every Republican presidential candidate from Richard Nixon through George W. Bush and in 2009 elected a Republican governor by 59% to 41%…the entrance of ‘supposed’ Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis into the race spoiled the election for Cuccinelli, who would have won as most of Sarvis’ 6.6% of the vote would have been added to his total (145,762 in actual numbers).

McAuliffe was able to win basically because he ran a highly financed negative campaign (outspending Cuccinelli by over 15+million dollars). By saying over and over ad-nauseum that Cuccinelli was a social conservative who was anti-woman because he vehemently opposed abortion, McAuiffe was able to garner the women’s vote by a 51-42 margin. And by also constantly repeating that Cucchinelli refused to admit that it was the Republicans who were to blame for the recent government shutdown, McAufliffe was able to play to the heavily populated Northern Virginia area, where many work for the government or for government contractors.

But truth be told it was both ‘anything but Libertarian’ Robert Sarvis and a lack of support… including the all important and much needed financial support…by his own Republican Party that cost Cuchinelli the election. Using tactics more Democratic than Libertarian, Sarvis, kept demeaning Cuccinelli’s social issue positions instead of focusing on the Libertarian agenda of small government and individual liberties, leading many to rightfully believe he was ‘planted’ in the race by the Democrats who knew the election was NOT a sure deal after the ObamaCare website and insurance policy cancellation fiascoes.

In fact, software billionaire Joe Liemandt, a Democratic Party benefactor and Obama campaign bundler, helped pay professional petition circulators to get Robert Sarvis on the ballot as the Libertarian candidate for NO other purpose than to split and syphon off the Republican vote…split and cause friction between the old guard Republican establishment base and the new true conservative Republican grassroots movement...AKA TEA Party Republicans.

And after proving just how successful base splitting was in Virginia with the insertion of unknown Sarvis into the governor’s race, come 2014 and 2016 this base splitting might be the ultimate Democratic strategy they will use anytime a race seems a bit too close for comfort so listen up people…NO third party candidate must be allowed to split the vote ever again…they simply cannot win so voting for a third party candidate is an actual wasted vote or worse yet…a vote for the Democratic opponent.

As for Republicans, especially high ticket Republican donors who stabbed Cucchineli in the back by NOT contributing more to his campaign when ObamaCare went sour…something they should have seen coming…something that allowed the race to tighten up so much so that what was once felt to be unwinable was now very much winnable as the ObamaCare nightmare allowed Cuccinelli to close the gap between him and McCauliffe to withing a mere 3-points, and pouring money into his campaign even at that late date just might have made a difference in the election'
s outcome.

So like I said in the beginning we win some…we lose some…but if we are to take our country back we must start winning more than we lose…and we must do it by supporting TEA Party Republicans over old guard establishment Republicans who are more RINO than true conservatives…and we must turn our backs on all third party candidates, period…and I do mean…period.
