Trashed streets. Tent camps. Chaos at railway stations. A toddler’s body washed up on the seashore. These are the scenes replayed over and over by the news media, depicting the worst refugee crisis to hammer Europe in more than half a Century. Among other refugees, some four million Syrians -- nearly a quarter of its population – reportedly have fled the country as a four-year civil war rages; overwhelming surrounding countries, and sending hundreds of thousands streaming toward the heart of Europe. However, it is not so much personal security that is the goal of many, if not most of these immigrants, as it is jobs and the economic freebies offered by that continent’s pervasive social welfare system.

While several European Nanny States, including France and England, succumbed to the tugs at the heartstrings resulting from photos of plaintive children, and precipitously announced they would accept thousands of immigrants, Ground Zero quickly became Germany -- perceived by many as having a virtually unlimited need for workers.

However, even Germany, which initially welcomed thousands of refugees with open arms and group hugs, has now realized the folly of its unrealistic “open border” policy. Chancellor Angela Merkel has moved belatedly to stem the rising immigrant tide – the schönes chaos or “glorious mess” created by her government’s dithering.
UPDATE: Even Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson called San Francisco's sanctuary city ordinance "not acceptable," according to Mediate. "It is counterproductive to public safety to have this level of resistance to working with our immigration enforcement personnel ... We’re all interested in getting criminals off the street," he said.

It seems like the family of Kate Steinle will have to wait longer for congressional action regarding sanctuary cities. Congress decided to take a bill aimed at tackling these enclaves was taken off the docket for the foreseeable future. According to Politico, the bill was put in limbo in the Senate Judiciary Committee when the Senate adjourned for the August recess early. Steinle was killed by an illegal immigrant, Francisco Sanchez, while walking on a pier with her father in San Francisco. Sanchez shot Steinle by accident, claiming to be under the influence of pills. It gained national attention due to Sanchez admitting that he had been deported five times, and came back to San Francisco because it was a sanctuary city. He knew there would be no concerted effort to find him and deport him again:
Senate Republicans are punting on a controversial bill targeting “sanctuary cities” — a signal that GOP lawmakers are struggling to coalesce around a legislative response to the alleged shooting death of a San Francisco woman by an undocumented immigrant earlier this year. […]
“The members are still working on improving the language, so it will be held over,” Beth Levine, a spokeswoman for Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), said Tuesday.
GOP lawmakers crafted several bills meant to punish so-called “sanctuary cities” that decline to cooperate with federal immigration officials trying to track down undocumented immigrants such as Lopez Sanchez. But in the Senate, an intraparty rift had opened up over the issue of mandatory minimums, with Republicans on the committee colliding over a proposal that would enact a mandatory minimum prison sentence of five years for immigrants who try to re-enter the country illegally after being deported.
The article noted that rift is so deep on the committee that if the GOP loses one vote, the bill will fail to move forward. One of the goals of sanctuary cities was to allow illegal aliens to come forward and report crimes without fear of arrest and deportation. Now, even some media outlets, like USA Today, have called such a policy as one that lacks common sense.

Meanwhile no U.S. officials are calling upon Muslims in the U.S. to do anything to counter Islamic State recruitment of U.S. Muslims.

Father of Iconic Drowned Boy Was Human Smuggler, Captained Death Boat

Pamela Geller / Atlas Shrugs

The father should be indicted for his son’s death.

Back on September 6th, I published the truth about the toddler’s father while the media was treating him as though he were a poor, exploited victim. Abdullah Kurdi’s story was made up. His lies were used and rewarded by the media in full-blown propaganda, while pressuring Europe to take in more economic migrants who have never experienced a war zone. The dead toddler pornography is a dream-come true PR campaign serving ISIS and their overwhelming Muslim supporters.

A Russian blog showed photos of the boy’s body being moved/positioned for the now infamous photograph.

The father’s fake story is still being used to justify the Islamic “refugee” invasion of...
