  1. You're giving Roberts credit for being a cunning fox. I'm not sure he's not a rat that abandoned conservative principles.

    If he doesn't believe the AHCA meets the commerce clause requirement, he should of voted against the bill and it would of been overturned by a vote of 5-4. He didn't do that. He took it upon himself to go beyond the scope of the case. His decision affirms that Congress has the constitutional authority to impose taxes and raise revenue. That wasn't the issue to be decided! Of course they have that authority.

    I find it hard to believe that Roberts is sending encoded, secret messages to the G.O.P. through his opinion. In addition, do you really think Obama circumventing proper procedures will matter? Obama ignores the constitution and violates procedures every day and the G.O.P. just stands there with thier thumbs stuck somewhere they shouldn't be.

    Roberts has just made the Supreme Court as irrelevent as the United Nations.

OK, part of what you say does ring true, however, think of this scenario...if Roberts had ruled with the other conservative justices and the ruling came down 5 to 4 for unconstitutionality you can bet that Obama would have pulled out the race card and claimed the 4 white and 1 rich token black justices are anti-black, anti-Hispanic, anti-ILLEGALS (which we are BTW), and anti-the poor. The race war that Obama would start would be so calculated as to assure him re-election. And BTW, this is what Obama hoped for.

      By Roberts ruling as he did he showed ObamaCare to be what it always was...the mother of all taxes that the middle and working class would have to be responsible for.

      By ruling the way he did Roberts allowed the total repeal of this monstrosity by two ways...in Congress or at the polls in November. he left it up to 'We the People' to do what we know needs to be done, keeps the integrity of the SCOTUS, and avoids a race war that would have been the start of the Second American Civil War.

      And Roberts also gave Romney a platform to run with that even the masses and sheeple can understand, as in ObamaCare is one hell of a TAX that will hit you hard in the pocketbook. And that just might wake people up to the dangers of Obama.
