ReplyDeleteUnderstand that the tea people, like any people, want to coalesce as a group so badly that they often turn the other way when someone crazier than them expresses a nutjob idea (like this racist). Diane stating that she disagrees with him/her is enough to turn off some of her more extreme readers. Losing readers means she can't spread her comedy, um, news and insights. So yeah, I think it was a big deal and I applaud her for doing so.
