Could Trump Be Facing a Fifth Indictment? One Governor Is Pushing for It.

Donald Trump has been indicted again in the Georgia 2020 election probe. It’s the fourth indictment against the former president, who is running to reclaim this old job next year. These legal actions have had zero impact on his standing in the polls; Trump remains comfortably in the lead as the GOP frontrunner. Yet, given that he's facing nearly 100 charges and with the forces stacked against him, it’s hard to see how Trump walks away from these trials unscathed. 

He’ll likely be convicted of something, setting the stage for a January 6-like event on steroids. And Democrats are only too happy to bait conservatives on that front. But that’s for another time. We need to revisit this legal circus because it might not be over. Could there be a fifth indictment looming? Since the Georgia indictment, all eyes have turned to Arizona, where Democratic Gov. Lawyer Has One Key Question About the Georgia Indictment Against Trump. It Will Irritate Liberals.

The Georgia indictment against former President Donald Trump is around 100 pages, but the legal gurus at Powerline blog read it and walked away with one key question: where’s the beef? Actually, our friends at Hot Air came up with that question, but John Hinderaker, an attorney, would have happily agreed, adding that there isn’t much criminality alleged in the indictment. It’s a liberal tirade masked as law, which you knew, but even the most explosive portions, which the liberal media will harp on, aren’t crimes. The fake elector bit, for example, isn’t a smoking gun at all (via Powerline):

The indictment sets out in detail statements that were made by the defendants about voter fraud in Georgia and other states, all of which are alleged to be false. Of course, in the wake of the election, there were many claims of voter fraud. Some of these proved to be true, I think, while others proved to be incorrect. But so what? It is not, in general, a crime to make false statements. If it were, Washington would be a ghost town.
