I will try to listen to the live part. I have lots to do tomorrow, but hopefully I can be home by 11. I'm sure you and your guests have an agenda to discuss, but I would wonder when conservatives are going to stop the circular firing squad on one another.
ReplyDeleteFor example, many conservatives trashed the rancher out in Nevada without hearing the facts. I was frankly surprised by Glenn Beck's response. I also heard that Sean Hannity threw the man under the bus (I was told by a friend at work...I can't stay up that late). That is almost as bad as when Obama said the police acted stupidly when referring to the Gates/Boston Police episode a few years back. They also claimed racism in that case as well.
Conservatives need to judge things on principles, and not knee-jerk reactions they have been taught by the liberal press.
Now...some conservative DO need to give an apology for denigrating and impugning the character of the rancher. He is a decent man, and they did nothing short of character assassination (just as the New York Times.) They should be ashamed of themselves!
For those who may not have listened, Diane and Craig did an excellent job on the first Saturday. I listened to about half of the program because I had to drop my lawn mower off for repair in Sterling, VA. I live in Falls Church which is quite a drive, so I missed a good bit of the program.
ReplyDeleteI have never considered myself to be a Tea Party person, but after listening to several broadcasts and reading Diane’s blog, I think I must be a Tea Party person. Diane did an excellent job describing how Islam is not a religion, but a cult. On that point I agree: From my understanding Mohammad starting the cult around 630 AD and it grew. He mostly borrowed from Christianity and Judaism incorporating his own dogma. In Islam, it is alright to steel, lie, cheat and murder as long as the recipient is an infidel (non-Islamist.) Anyway, Diane’s views and my views on Islam are 100% in agreement. Craig listed two moderate Muslims; that was far more than I could name.
I wanted to hear the discussion on what happened in Nevada, but I may have missed that discussion, or maybe it was not on the agenda for today. I think the conservatives were rash in dealing with Mr. Bundy. I listened to all the man said and considered him a simple but sincere man who wished no ill-will to anyone. He actually defended blacks and Hispanics (more than I would do.) I heard that Sean Hannity excoriated Mr. Bundy on his show (from a friend at work.) I think that friend might like listening to CPR. My friend said that he sees conservatives forming a circular firing squad against other conservatives.
Anyway, good show! I will try to think of questions; but you and Craig did an excellent job even without questions. You hit several important topics including global warming.
