Leftists Want Professor Fired For Urging Caution During Impeachment Inquiry
Pelosi slept on it, and then rushed out first thing Thursday morning to announce that she was moving forward with articles of impeachment. Clearly driven by hate for the president, Pelosi came unglued after a reporter asked if she hated the president.
Because Professor Turley did not advocate for Trump's immediate removal by day's end on Wednesday, the left responded the usual way they respond when presented with opposing viewpoints. They threatened Turley and called up George Washington University Law School to demand that the school immediately fire the professor.
Turley describes the left's reaction to his testimony in an article he wrote for The Hill. "My call for greater civility and dialogue may have been the least successful argument I made to the committee," Turley lamented. "Before I finished my testimony, my home and office were inundated with threatening messages and demands that I be fired from George Washington University for arguing that, while a case for impeachment can be made, it has not been made on this record."
Professor Turley was one of four law professors testifying before congress on the constitutional grounds for impeachment. Of course, the Democrats picked three anti-Trump law professors to balance out Turley's well-reasoned remarks. The three so-called experts joining Turley simply repeated every venomous thing they have ever heard on MSNBC. One nutty professor even had to apologize for using Barron Trump, Trump's thirteen-year-old son, in one of her attacks against the president, a classless move that encapsulates the extreme partisanship in Nadler's choice of witnesses.
