Remembering the Challenger

On January 28, 1986 at 11:38 a.m. EST, the space shuttle Challenger lifted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida and the rest is history. 

 

At 5pm that afternoon our great President Ronald Reagan gave what I consider to be one of the greatest speeches in the history of our nation.

 

Today I'm remembering that fateful day as the explosion was clearly visible across parts of South Florida...I saw it...I'll never forget it nor will I ever forget President Reagan's most touching and heartfelt words...most especially his final words, "They touched the face of God."
