AFDI Islamic apartheid ads running in San Francisco!
From Jihad Watch / Posted by Robert Spencer
After months of procrastination and dhimmitude, the San Francisco MTA finally posted our Islamic apartheid ads on city buses (above are the first of the pics). They have been running the libelous "Israel is an apartheid state" ad without hesitation (or substantiation), mind you. I, on the other hand, had to provide numerous links and references to back up my ads. Why me and not them? Because I was stating fact, but the Jew-haters were merely expressing their opinion. You can't make this stuff up, folks.
San Francisco turned over the revenue from our ads to Muslim groups to study the effect AFDI ads had on the Muslim community, I kid you not. But they kept the revenue from the Jew-hatred ads.
We will educate the American people despite the difficulty, despite the obstacles.
Our fight is now in Seattle, to get this campaign up where another vicious anti-Jewish ad is currently running. Please help us fight. Contribute via Paypal.com. Send funds to americanfreedomdefense@aol.com. It took three years, but we are a 501C3 :)Pamela Geller has more pictures here.

That the indefatigable dhimmi Bloomberg would defend these programs is an indication of how legal and non-intrusive they really were. The objective of suits like this one is to challenge any and every counter-terror measure except those that retail politically correct fictions about Islam and focus scrutiny more on "right-wing extremists" than on jihadis. And the goal is to clear away all obstacles to jihadis so that they can advance unimpeded. "Civil rights groups sue NYC mayor and top cop over post-9/11 Muslim surveillance programs," from the Associated Press, June 18 (thanks to Kenneth):
WASHINGTON – Civil rights lawyers say they plan to ask a federal judge to declare the New York Police Department's spying programs directed at Muslims to be unconstitutional, and to order police to stop their surveillance and destroy any records in police files.
In a lawsuit being filed Tuesday, the lawyers say the spying has hindered residents from freely practicing their religion. It is the third significant legal action filed against the NYPD Muslim surveillance program since details of the spy program were revealed in a series of Associated Press reports in 2011 and 2012.
The lawsuit says Muslim religious leaders in New York have modified their sermons and other behavior to not draw additional police attention.
The NYPD did not immediately respond to a phone call and email asking for comment.
Governor Brewer Betrays Conservatives, Forces Through Huge Obamacare Medicaid Expansion
Rachel Alexander / Townhall ColumnistOnce considered a conservative governor due to signing SB 1070, which toughened up illegal immigration laws, Arizona’s Governor Jan Brewer has now destroyed that reputation. Last week, she called a surprise special session of the legislature, and allying with Democrats, bullied through Obamacare's massive expansion of Medicaid, known as AHCCCS in Arizona. The bullying tactics she used to coerce Republican legislators into voting for it were so appalling, they made national news and have prominent Republicans all over the state speaking out in outrage.
Brewer called legislators into the State Capitol at 5 p.m. last Tuesday, and kept them there until they passed the bill at 3:40 a.m. According to Arizona State Rep. Kelly Townsend (R-Mesa), a Tea Party leader, the 600-page bill was presented at the last minute to legislators, who were told they would be voting on it within a few hours – not enough time to thoroughly examine it. Legislators were instructed not to ask any questions, nor vote yes on any amendments. One of the amendments they were forced to turn down would have created a Pat Tillman license plate to benefit veterans and their families (fortunately it was added to another bill a couple of days later and passed).
Kelly sent a mass email to Republicans around the state after the debacle, blowing the lid off Brewer's underhanded tactics, which included this appalling story, “One Republican legislator whom I won't name told me that when they were in the Governor's office, they were offered help on their next reelection campaign and an assurance that they would win if they voted for the expansion.”
Legislators who dared to speak up against Brewer’s Medicaid expansion had their bills vetoed by Brewer in retaliation. In May, Brewer said she would continue to veto unrelated bills until Republicans agreed to expand Medicaid. She brazenly admitted, "I warned that I would not sign additional measures into law until we see resolution of the two most pressing issues facing us: adoption of a fiscal 2014 state budget and plan for Medicaid. It is disappointing I must demonstrate the moratorium was not an idle threat." One of the bills she vetoed in retaliation would have allowed people to sue over violations of religious freedoms.
Brewer even devised a plan to oust Senate President Andy Biggs and House Speaker Andy Tobin, both Republicans, from their leadership positions if they tried to stop her Medicare expansion from coming up for a vote. National Revieweditorialized about her actions, “This is conduct unbecoming of a chief executive.” Arizona Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-Peoria), the House Majority Whip, declared, “I feel like I’ve been punched in the gut, and I feel like I’ve been betrayed.”
The legislation expands Medicaid to not just parents, but childless adults earning a salary of up to 133% of the federal poverty level. Childless adults making up to $15,282 annually will be eligible. Enrollment in AHCCCS for childless adults in Arizona was frozen in 2011 during the state’s fiscal crisis, so the number of childless adults on the welfare rolls decreased from 227,000 to 86,000. Brewer’s office estimates the bill will add 240,000 people to Arizona’s welfare rolls, and increase coverage for 57,000 more.
Of the handful of Republican governors who support the expansion, Brewer has been the most avid. They all look silly in light of a study released by the New England Journal of Medicine, which examined the impact of Oregon’s decision to expand Medicaid in 2008. Participants were selected by a lottery process, since there wasn’t enough money to fund everyone. It turned out those who received the benefits were no healthier than those who were not selected to participate.
Nineteen states have rejected the expansion, including many Republican governors.
Brewer claims to oppose Obamacare, stating at a press conference in Yuma, Ariz., earlier this year, “I've never been a supporter of the Affordable Care Act.” Yet Brewer started holding rallies around the state in January drumming up support for the expansion.
The legislation requires the broke federal government to spend $1.6 billion on new adults in Arizona enrolling in Medicaid. There is no guarantee the federal government will have the funds, and even if it does, the bill calls for some of the federal funding to be gradually phased out. Instead, Arizona is supposed to recoup some of the costs by taxing hospitals – which will in turn pass the cost along to their privately insured patients in a hidden healthcare tax. Unlike previous Medicaid expansions, there are no tobacco funds to raid to use to pay for it. Some of the funding will likely be directed toward Planned Parenthood, indirectly funding abortions, since Planned Parenthood performs the vast majority of abortions in the country.
Brewer’s support of Obamacare sounds more like that of a Democrat governor, and her bullying tactics similar to the Alinsky tactics the left uses. Even if one believes that it is the government’s responsibility to take care of those with medium-low incomes, there is not enough money to afford this expansion. In 2012, Medicaid already comprised 24 percent of state budgets nationwide.
Most consider this a fatal blow to Brewer’s chances for re-election. She has not indicated yet whether she will run for reelection. Although she replaced Janet Napolitano as governor midway through Napolitano’s term after Napolitano was tapped for Homeland Security secretary, she may be barred by the state constitution's term limits provision from running for a third term.
After Brewer began campaigning to expand Medicaid earlier this year, several Republicans announced they were forming exploratory committees for governor. Former Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas, the favorite of conservatives for taking on corruption and collusion among the State Bar, the judiciary, and county officials – resulting in the State Bar targeting him and disbarring him – is considered the leading Republican candidate to replace Brewer. Thomas was the first GOP leader to publicly come out against the Medicaid expansion in January, and won the first straw poll for governor on the popular Arizona conservative blog Sonoran Alliance last month.
Some suspect that Brewer rammed the bill through as appeasement to Obama, in order to get him to back off on attacking Arizona over SB 1070. But more likely, and perhaps the most disturbing part of all of this, is that the move was orchestrated by her powerful consultant and lobbyist, Chuck Coughlin of High Ground. A political moderate, he is believed to be calling a lot of the shots behind the scenes in the governor's office. His clients include some of the most powerful interests in Arizona's healthcare industry, including the Arizona Association of Health Maintenance Organizations, United Health Care, Sun Healthcare Group, Pacificare, MedPro, Arizona Health Care Coalition and Arizona Self-Insurers Association, which all stand to benefit greatly from the Medicaid expansion.
To many Arizonans, the desertion of principles by Brewer is nothing new. She avidly supported an 18% sales tax increase in 2010, appearing in TV commercials with attractive looking children to advocate for it. The tax increase was to be spent on infrastructure and education. Many believe she pushed it to benefit Coughlin's clients , which include many construction-related businesses.
A new organization popped up in the last few days in response to the bill being forced through. American Commitment has put together a video of statements by the brave legislators who spoke on the House floor against the expansion. State Rep. Eddie Farnsworth (R-Gilbert) perhaps said it best, “This governor, who became famous for wagging her finger in the face of the president, is now wagging her finger in the face of the people of this state.” The repercussions of this will be deep and long lasting, and will be seen in the 2014 gubernatorial and legislative races.
Wasserman Schultz, Staunch Defender of Late Term Abortions

The U.S. House of Representatives is set to vote on a bill that will ban abortions starting at 20 weeks (5 months) of pregnancy, including babies at viability and all the way to the day of birth, according to Lifenews.com.
Predictably, Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has claimed that the bill is “extreme” and an unprecedented reach into women’s lives.” Wasserman Schultz doesn’t explicitly state that she believes abortions should be permissable until the day before birth— but that’s the position her opposition to the late-term abortion ban puts her on record as having.Wasserman Schultz’s M.O. is aggressively label her political opposition as “extreme” while she promotes and defends what are in fact “extreme” policies.
Instead, she couched her truly extreme position on the bill as protecting women’s health, because a mother taking her child’s life after viability apparently does wonders for her health. .- LifeNews.com
Here is an illustration posted at WebMD.com depicting what a baby looks like at 5 months.
Wasserman Schultz and the pro-choice lobby need to get something very clear- while many of us believe that a woman has a right to choose to do whatever she wants with her body, tattoos, piercings, etc.- abortion is an act of aggression resulting in murder perpetrated against another human being’s body that is incapable of defending itself.

Op-ed:
Arming the rebels is arming al-Qaeda
By: Diane Sori

Surprise, surprise…guess who Barack HUSSEIN Obama has pledged America’s allegiance to by siding with the rebels in the Syrian civil war, and he doesn’t even know it (or does he and he just doesn’t care)…none other than Jabhat al-Nusra, also known as the al-Nusra Front…a US designated terrorist group with direct ties to al-Qaeda in Iraq.
And al-Nusra, one of the most effective homegrown fighting forces in Syria, a force who really is in control of the rebel opposition show with as many as 10,000 highly trained fighters on the ground, now has Obama siding with, funding, and helping to arm them…NO matter that they’re a known al-Qaeda operative group.
Talk about ‘aiding and abetting the enemy’ and slapping the face of all our troops who have died fighting them.
The fact is that a radical islamic influence is strong in Syria and growing stronger every day, and now with American weaponry…including small arms, ammunition, and possibly anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons…being sent to them by Obama they will grow even stronger, and as the rebels grow stronger Russia will send even more weapons to al-Assad’s government forces to counter them, increasing the fighting even more…fighting that currently kills 5,000+ Syrians a month. And with Iran running training camps inside Syria for Hezbollah, and pledging to send 4,000 Revolutionary Guards to fight on the side of the government forces, things are going from bad to worse in a country that under Bashar al-Assad was more secular than islamic regime.
And while the Syrian conflict began as a secular revolt against
al-Assad’s autocracy it has indeed turned into an islamic vs. a secular
(of sorts) conflict as al-Assad has used the threat of jihadists within
the rebel opposition to build support for his regime among the Alawite
and Christian communities (at least under his regime Christians were
relatively safe), and also to convince the middle and upper class Sunnis
from joining the opposition. And Russia has said that the presence of
radical islamists is their reason for supporting al-Assad’s regime.
In fact Russian President Putin warned Obama against arming the Syrian rebels “who kill their enemies and eat their organs,” referring to a widely circulated YouTube video that shows a rebel fighter eating the heart of a dead government soldier…something that while disgusting and deplorable in its own right is NOT really that shocking anymore when you consider the brutality and barbaric acts we've been privy to committed by islamic extremists over the years, including beheading and chopping people up into little pieces.
But hey, these are the barbarians Barack HUSSEIN Obama has pledged our country will support.
And Abu Mohammed al-Julani, the leader of Syria’s al-Nusra Front (part
of the Salafi movement among Sunni muslims adhering to literalist,
strict, and puritanical approaches to islam who believe violent jihad
against civilians is a legitimate tenet of islam) has outwardly and
publicly pledged allegiance to al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri. And
this is NOT anything new as Lebanese Sheik Omar Bakri, a Salafist who
believes all nations must be governed by muslim religious law..sharia
law…says al-Qaeda has assisted al-Nusra for some time now including by
providing operational support, military trainers, and bomb makers in an
effort to NOT only feed upon the instability in Syria but also to
expand al-Qaeda’s influence in the entire region…contrary to what some
claim or like Barack HUSSEIN Obama, try to ignore.
And with al-Julani saying from the very start of the conflict that islamic law must to be enforced in Syria, Obama siding with them becomes extremely dangerous to the long-term stability of Syria…even more so than the foreign jihadist groups currently operating in the country…because it represents the evolution of the Salafi-jihadist ideology into domestic talking points that will be able to influence vast amounts of disillusioned people tired of war.
And with Obama knowing this he still is willing to have our country support them…and all his bloviating that we will support only the moderate rebels, like The Free Syria Army, is pure nonsense as there are NO moderate rebels fighting al-Assad’s forces, and he knows it…and Russia knows it too…as they also know what will happen if Syria turns into an islamic state…as in too many radical islamists too close to their borders.
So when you boil it all down, Barack HUSSEIN Obama is NOT only siding
with the rebels but with al-Qaeda itself…al-Qaeda who murdered 3,000
Americans on 9/11…the very group he’s been claiming is ‘on the run’ and
no longer the threat they once were. And he knows damn well that if the
rebels do win…and with him having the US aiding them it could become a
possibility…yet another Mid-East country will fall and come under the
rule of strict islamic law instead of democracy he claimed (he lied) was
the reason he supported the Arab Spring uprisings in the first place.
The bottom line remains that NO matter which side wins, Syria is a no win situation that we just need to stay the hell out of...period.
