Hillary Clinton was a terrible candidate. We all know this, but let’s
delve into the incompetence and the arrogance that infested the Clinton
campaign. For starters, they started drinking champagne
before the ballots were counted. They expected massive turnout. They
expected to win. None of that happened. Clinton’s attack ads against
Trump, which admittedly made me more inclined to vote for him, fell
flat. Rust Belt voters didn’t care that he possibly avoided paying taxes
for nearly twenty years legally. Liberals seem to be the only
people who actually think everyone likes paying taxes. From the richest
one percent to the factory worker, as April approaches—everyone is
scrambling to find ways to avoid paying as much tax as possible.In Michigan alone, a senior battleground state operative told HuffPost that the state party and local officials were running at roughly one-tenth the paid canvasser capacity that Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) had when he ran for president in 2004. Desperate for more human capital, the state party and local officials ended up raising $300,000 themselves to pay 500 people to help canvass in the election’s closing weeks. It’s Duck Season in Washington DC. It’s a lame duck to be sure as
outgoing congressional leaders attempt to make good on campaign promises
and pay their debts to their beholden. That usually means a lot of
sneaky backroom deals. This time, however, there is an opportunity to do
something better than payback cronies.
At least one elector who’s due to cast a formal ballot electing
Donald Trump to the presidency – in accordance with America’s
constitutional Electoral College process – said he’s been receiving
vicious messages, including death threats, from those who’d rather he
cast his vote for Hillary Clinton.“You have people saying ‘you’re a hateful bigot, I hope you die,'” he said, the Detroit News reported. “I’ve had people talk about shoving a gun in my mouth and blowing my brains out. And I’ve received dozens and dozens of those emails. Even the non-threatening-my-life emails are very aggressive.”The Detroit News confirmed at least one of Banerian’s emailed messages included death threats – specifically, that the writer of the message would “put a bullet” in Banerian’s mouth.
