Henry Kissinger, American diplomat and Nobel winner, dead at 100
Reuters

Henry Kissinger, a diplomatic powerhouse whose roles as a national security adviser and secretary of state under two presidents left an indelible mark on U.S. foreign policy and earned him a controversial Nobel Peace Prize, died on Wednesday at age 100.

Kissinger died at his home in Connecticut, according to a statement from his geopolitical consulting firm, Kissinger Associates Inc. No mention was made of the circumstances.

It said he would be interred at a private family service, to be followed at a later date by a public memorial service in New York City.

Kissinger had been active late in life, attending meetings in the White House, publishing a book on leadership styles, and testifying before a Senate committee about the nuclear threat posed by North Korea. In July 2023 he made a surprise visit to Beijing to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping.

During the 1970s in the midst of the Cold War, he had a hand in many of the epoch-changing global events of the decade while serving as national security adviser and secretary of state under Republican President Richard Nixon.

As Israel and Hamas Agree to Extend Ceasefire, We Have Reports of a Terror Attack in Jerusalem
Matt Vespa / Townhall Tipsheet

I’m not so sure I agree with this decision by Israel, but whatever the case, the ceasefire was extended by one day as fighting was about to resume. It’s a testament to Israel’s resolve in securing the release of more hostages taken during the brutal October 7 attacks perpetrated by Hamas.

The Jewish state is abiding by the terms of the ceasefire, while Hamas has continuously violated it, launching rockets into Israel. There are also reports trickling in of a terror attack that just occurred in Jerusalem. Two gunmen were killed. For now, here’s what’s happening with the state of this pause in the Gaza War. We were hours away from hostilities resuming (via WaPo):

"Israel and Hamas have agreed to extend the pause in fighting in Gaza for another day, according to mediator Qatar. Hamas freed 16 hostages and Israel released 30 imprisoned Palestinians on Wednesday. Israeli officials have maintained that any continuation will be only to allow more hostages to be exchanged for prisoners and will not lead to a more permanent cease-fire. Sen. Rick Scott says Schumer likely doesn't have votes to pass supplemental without tighter border security
Border reforms must reduce illegal immigration 'the way Trump was able to,' Scott told Fox News Digital
By Jamie Joseph Fox News

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., likely doesn't have the votes to pass President Biden's $106 billion national security supplemental package as is, Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., told Fox News Digital in an interview Tuesday evening.

Senate Republicans have been rallying behind adding stricter border security provisions in the package, such as more border patrol agents and tougher asylum processing standards. But Democrats have signaled they're not interested in changing border policies.

"There's going to have to be significant border security," Scott, a member of the Homeland Security Committee, said. "The border is a clear and present danger to the security of every American, and I think every Republican and hopefully some Democrats understand that." Read more and see video here.

When Congress Finally Passes Aid for Israel, Will It Come With Conditions?
Rebecca Downs / Townhall Tipsheet

Last week we covered the terrible idea from Democrats who were looking to condition aid to Israel, aid which hasn't even passed the Democratically-controlled Senate yet, despite support for Israel being a bipartisan issue. Unfortunately but not surprisingly, the Biden administration hasn't exactly provided the most comforting responses about such a growing concern.

Earlier this week, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan made several Sunday show appearances. This included on CBS News' "Face the Nation," where he was asked about conditioning aid, as host Margaret Brennan specifically pointed out that President Joe Biden called it "a worthwhile thought." POLITICO aptly that such a response from Biden "leaves questions unanswered."

The president was spending some leisure time in Nantucket around the Thanksgiving holiday. Read more, see Xs and videos here.

GOP AGs blast Biden admin for foster care plan they say would effectively ban Christians

A group of Republican attorneys general are pushing the Biden administration to back down on a new rule they say will effectively exclude Christian families from fostering kids and jeopardize the foster care system nationwide.

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, along with 18 of his GOP colleagues, sent a letter Monday to the Department of Health and Human Services alerting them that a new proposed rule that alters requirements for foster care families violates the Constitution and discriminates against people who practice the Christian faith

In addition to discriminating against religion, the attorneys general argue that the proposed rule "will harm children by limiting the number of available foster homes, harm families by risking kinship placements, and harm states by increasing costs and decreasing care options."

"These injuries will be suffered while HHS fails to solve a problem that the proposed rule does not even prove exists in foster care," the AGs write. Read more here.

US Navy Rescues Hijacked Israeli-linked Ship
Leah Barkoukis / Townhall Tipsheet

The U.S. Navy on Sunday intervened in the hijacking of an Israeli-linked ship in the Gulf of Aden.

According to the U.S. Central Command, the USS Mason and allied ships responded to a distress call from a commercial vessel, Central Park, that they were being attacked by an “unknown entity.”

After the coalition vessels arrived and demanded the release of the ship, five armed individuals attempted to flee but were pursued and eventually surrendered.

Shortly afterwards, two ballistic missiles were fired from a Houthi-controlled area in Yemen, but they fell far short.

“Maritime domain security is essential to regional stability,” said Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, USCENTCOM commander. “We will continue to work with allies and partners to ensure the safety and security of international shipping lanes.”

The Iranian-backed Houthi rebels attacked multiple commercial vessels last week in the Red Sea, including the Central Park. Read more and see Xs here.

Over 20 Millions Immigrants Are Set to Vote In 2024
Sarah Arnold / Townhall Tipsheet

Since the 2020 election, several lawmakers have sounded the alarm that migrants may be voting in U.S. elections illegally.

The worries are again ramping up as the 2024 presidential election nears the corner.

According to an analysis from a Left-wing American Immigration Council, more than 23 million immigrants are set to vote in the upcoming election, revealing the electoral power of the United State’s annual importation of more than a million immigrants has given to naturalized citizens.

“As more immigrants naturalize and become eligible to vote, they continue to gain political power,” the analysis states. “The number of immigrant voters is only projected to rise in the next decade, and in some states, foreign-born voters are already capable of deciding elections.”

More from Breitbart News on the data:

“The analysis indicates that foreign-born eligible voters will again account for about…Read more here.

Experts raise alarm after Biden strikes agreement with China to shut down fossil fuels
Climate pact will nudge America 'closer to Beijing-style central planning, production quotas, and groupthink,' expert tells Fox News Digital

U.S. energy experts are warning of the economic and national security implications of President Biden's pact with China this week to move towards shutting down fossil fuel production in favor of green energy.

The State Department announced this week it had struck a deal with its Chinese counterparts pledging to "accelerate the substitution for coal, oil and gas generation" with green energy sources like wind and solar power. The nations, which account for nearly half of global greenhouse gas emissions, also agreed to "deepen policy exchanges" on reducing carbon emissions in various sectors, like power, industry, buildings and transportation, across their economies.

But the agreement — in which the nations further pledged to "sufficiently accelerate renewable energy deployment in their respective economies through 2030" — was criticized over its potential impact on U.S. consumers. Experts also noted that China has rarely followed through on international accords and stands to financially benefit from such an agreement since it controls much of the world's green energy supply chain. Pro-Palestinian group posts NYC map of locations 'tied' to 'Genocide' in Gaza: 'Globalize the Intifada'
One Congressman said the pro-Palestinian group was calling for violence against Jews

A pro-Palestinian group posted a picture of multiple locations around New York City it alleges are associated with the "genocide" in Gaza.

The group, Within Our Lifetime, posted the map which was later deleted, with a headline of "From Palestine to NYC. Globalize the Intifada," according to the New York Post. The map stated that the locations were considered zones "of direct action."

"Each of the sites on this map is tied to the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the settler-colonization of Palestine. They reflect a network of dispossession, policing, prisons, surveillance, counterinsurgency, war, destruction, imperialism and militarization across the globe, with the mass media complex which manufactures consent for genocide acting as tools of the oppressor. These sites are also multi-purpose assets for some of the system's most powerful perpetrators of violence. May this map serve as a call for every struggle to act in their own interest. As we do so, we uplift one another's struggles and free Palestine from the river to the sea," the map reads. Read more, see map, Xs, and video here

Navy Seal Under Investigation for 'Extremist' Ties After Speaking Out Against So-Called Trans Rights
Sarah Arnold / Townhall Tipsheet

Instead of hunting down terrorists or investigating the real corrupt guys within our government, i.e., the whole Biden family, innocent people fighting for the core values of America are being unfairly targeted by Democratic leadership.

A Navy Seal is reportedly under investigation for "extremist" ties after photos and videos of him talking to members of the Proud Boys at parental rights protests surfaced.

According to military.com, Chief Special Warfare Operator Bryce Henson, who also goes by the pseudonym Ben Richards, is facing relentless attacks against him following allegations of "possibly participating with, or supporting, extremist causes."

Henson has drawn attention to himself for standing up against the Left's woke indoctrination of children through classrooms. He has participated in several parental rights protests and has pushed back on LGBTQ reading materials found in schools. Read more, see X and video here.

Republicans slam Tlaib over membership in secret Facebook group where Hamas was praised
Tlaib has remained mum on issue
Joe Schoffstall , Peter Hasson / Fox News

Republican lawmakers criticized Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich, over her membership in a secret Facebook group where individuals praised Hamas after their terrorist attack on Israel that left more than 1,000 of its citizens dead.

Tlaib has quietly been a member of the Palestinian American Congress group on Facebook for several years. The private group, which only its members can find and access, includes members who heaped praise on the terrorist group after its bloody Oct. 7 invasion, which Fox News Digital reported Wednesday after gaining entry to it.

Following the report, Republican politicians denounced Tlaib over her membership in the group.

“This is repulsive. Every member of Congress, Republican and Democrat, needs to condemn [Rashida Tlaib] for being a member of this pro-terrorist group,” Florida Republican Sen. Tim Scott wrote on X, formerly Twitter. Read more, see Xs and video here.

Trump to remain on Michigan ballot after judge rejects 14th Amendment challenge to eligibility
Michigan judge rules against bid to remove Trump from ballot over Jan. 6 riot

Former President Donald Trump will remain on Michigan's ballot for the state's 2024 presidential primary, a judge ruled on Tuesday.

Trump's opponents have argued in multiple states that the former president is ineligible for office under the 14th Amendment. They state that Trump's actions surrounding the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol constituted insurrection against the U.S.

Michigan Court of Claims Judge James Redford rejected that argument, however.

"The judicial action of removing a candidate from the presidential ballot and prohibiting them from running essentially strips Congress of its ability to ‘by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such a disability,'" Redford wrote.

"The question of whether he is ineligible due to Section...Read more and see video here.

The Reason Why Hundreds Couldn't Make a Pro-Israel Rally in DC Yesterday Is Repulsive
Matt Vespa / Townhall Tipsheet

There are reports that almost 300,000 attended the March for Israel rally in Washington, DC, yesterday. Another 250,000 reportedly watched online. Regardless of the total number, tens of thousands descended into the nation’s capital to show support for the Middle East’s only democracy, which is under attack by Hamas, other radical Islamic terrorist groups, the liberal media who have been giving the far-left antisemitic ammunition concerning their fake news reporting about Gaza.

The rally was bipartisan, with top congressional Republicans and Democrats standing with the state of Israel. Rep. Ilham Omar (D-MN) was probably hardest hit. She was perhaps appalled at seeing all these Jewish people in one place, too (via Associated Press): Read more, see Xs and videos here.

Simply, I know Israel is not to blame as much as I know that the hate perpetrated against both the Jewish people and Israel herself, are today's tangible realities. And when hate turns into fear...fear that many Jews now face on a daily basis...it becomes fear not seen since the days of the Holocaust...fear that “Never Again” will indeed happen again.

And while many nations have vowed “Never Again”...for most it's proven to be but politically correct lip service at best...as anti-Semitism continues to grow worldwide. In fact, to one degree or another the hate has never really stopped. And yet many continue to cry over a useless, terrorist supporting people whose own blood brethren don't want to take into their countries. They know who and what these people are...a people whose children have been indoctrinated solely to hate...a people who bred and still breed the next generation of terrorists...a people who cheered Hamas' savagery when they returned to Gaza with both brutalized victims to display and hostages taken. These are the very people the world is crying over...so it now seems. And how sad is to see that those who made the “desert bloom” are deemed the “bad guys” while those relishing in killing are the ones to be pitied. Read entire article here.

Supreme Court Unveils 'Code of Conduct'
Spencer Brown / Townhall Tipsheet

The Supreme Court of the United States announced news on Monday regarding a "Code of Conduct" the justices have agreed upon as Democrat attempts to undermine the Court — namely the originalist justices on the bench — sought to delegitimize the highest court in the land as retribution for decisions with which Democrats did not agree.

"The undersigned Justices are promulgating this Code of Conduct to set out succinctly and gather in one place the ethics rules and principles that guide the conduct of the Members of the Court," a statement from SCOTUS explained.

"For the most part these rules and principles are not new: The Court has long had the equivalent of common law ethics rules, that is, a body of rules derived from a variety of sources, including statutory provisions, the code that applies to other members of the federal judiciary, ethics advisory opinions issued by the Judicial Conference Committee on Codes of Conduct, and historic practice," the Court reminded. Israeli PM Netanyahu warns America: 'If we don't win now, then Europe is next and you're next'
Netanyahu spoke about Israel's ongoing war with Hamas during an interview with Sean Hannity

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered a dire warning to America that it may be "next" if the IDF doesn't decimate Hamas during an interview with FOX News' Sean Hannity

"We have to win not only for our sake, but for the sake of the Middle East, for the sake of our Arab neighbors. You know what, for the sake of Gazans who've been held by this dark tyranny that has brutalized and brought them nothing but bloodshed and poverty and misery," Netanyahu said Monday. "We have to win to protect Israel. We have to win to safeguard the Middle East. We have to win for the sake of the civilized world. That's the battle we're fighting, and it's being waged right now. There is no substitute for that victory."

"If we don't win now, then Europe is next and you're next. And we have to win," he later added.

Netanyahu stressed that "our fight is your fight" and that there is "no substitute for victory."

"We have to have the forces of civilization beat these barbarians because otherwise this barbarism will spread and will endanger the entire world," Netanyahu said. "Every American, every civilized country will be under peril...Read more and see videos here.

Op-ed:
Survival's Driving Force
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots Radio
The Op-ed posted here is my opinion alone, and does not necessarily represent the views of blogspot.com
WARNING...this article contains some graphic images that may be upsetting to some.

Many deem history to be a cruel mistress for many do not learn from history...mistakes continue to be made and lessons remain unlearned...both personal mistakes and lessons and that of ones country.

And now as history again unfolds in the seemingly unending war between good and evil...Israel on the side of good and Hamas most especially on the side of evil... we here in the United States, and in many countries around the world, are bearing witness to anti-Semitism again rearing its ugly head.

Shows of anti-Semitism against the Jewish people in general coupled with pure hatred for the Jewish State of Israel is now all too commonplace on America's streets and on college and university campuses. Egged on by some in our Halls of Congress, the media itself helps spread the hate by giving these overtly antisemitic sorts even an iota of airtime by which to promote their hate. But something else noticed...at least by me...is that when anti-Semitism is in the forefront cries of self-perceived racism and inequality against blacks just seems to melt into the background of the 24/7 news cycle. Now being replaced by words like communists,” “elitists,” and “globalists ”...the no longer veiled antisemitic “code words” for Jews in general and successful, accomplished, and wealthy Jews specifically...has taken over the public discourse.

Simply, some here in our country are once again, via their hateful uncalled for words and actions, helping to divide us from within, and the only one that will bear the scars is our beloved America herself as extremism is again born and thriving courtesy of “selective hate”...hate that will destroy us way before the “enemies from without” ever get a chance to.

And while there has always been a smoldering hatred...or should I say jealously...of the Jewish people here in our country by both the extreme right and the extreme left, the October 7th inhumane and savage attack by Hamas on innocent Israeli civilians...women and children especially...has brought what was smoldering to the surface. Jews were and still are the intended victims and victims do have a right to fight back. And while some cry for the Palestinians lost in Israel's rightful retaliation...especially the anything but innocent Palestinian children...there really is no need to cry for any of them because said children are but the next generation of indoctrinated Jew-hating terrorists in waiting, and their parents still unwavering Hamas supporters.

The now war between Israel and Hamas will be settled by Israel alone, only the specific timeline remains unknown. Hamas nor their “string pullers” in Iran are any match for the military might of Israel, and her arsenal of weapons. And if pushed too far Israel...as in Benjamin Netanyahu... will surely do what needs to be done for both Israel and for the Jewish people to survive. Simply, both will survive because both must survive...that is a given...for even Iran has to know that while their driving force is hate, the need for survival itself trumps hate almost every time. History has shown that to be true more times than not for in the end it really does seem that good tends to triumph over evil.

But ultimate triumph does not mean the battle will be easy nor that casualties will be light for when one is fighting an enemy who does not know what it is to “value life,” innocent blood will be spilled and will flow in the streets to stain the hands of many. A tangible reality of war that should strike fear in the hearts of Israel's enemies, for without the valuing of life itself the cause one was fighting for remains unjust. Hamas has yet to learn this while Israel has known this...as have the Jewish people...for longer a time than many.

The Jewish people, throughout all of history, have been persecuted and victimized more than any other group of people. In fact, black slavery and its aftermath does not even compare in scoop to what the Jewish people have faced.*

Briefly, from the time of their “bondage” in Egypt...which started about 300 years before the time of Moses...to the time of the Roman Empire, Jews were enslaved even while unrest and attempts at freedom were not uncommon. But unrest only goes so far, and when Masada fell in 73 AD the Romans expelled the Jews from what was then called Judea, thus starting what is known as the “diaspora.”** And yet the Jewish people continued to survive no matter the hatred, brutalities, and actions taken against them in the lands they were now forced to call home. Also, throughout the early years of Christianity the Jewish people were persecuted, faced expulsion, were slaves in many nations, and were massacred in vast numbers during the Crusades.

And with what became known as anti-Semitism taking hold throughout the Middle Ages, the massacres of Jews increased as the call for “blood libel”*** grew. Convert or die was the only option given as the Church grew more powerful in their hate. And with the Spanish Inquisition in 1480, the massacres and expulsions of Jews continuing on as did the hatred and fear of them. And when Jewish folks started emigrating to America, a degree of anti-Semitism started taking hold in our country as well.

And all this led up to something no black person has (thankfully) had to experience...as in the “Holocaust”... where six million Jews were simply “exterminated” for no other reason than they were Jews.

But why as a people are the Jewish people so hated even today? Beyond the obvious holdover that the Jews killed Jesus...they did not as the Romans and Pontius Pilate did...many are jealous of Jewish success...success due mostly to Jews stressing the importance of intact families, the importance of education, and of course hard work...a cultural pattern that defines Judaism as a whole. But when there's trouble in the Middle East, especially when it involves Israel, anti-Semitism again tends to rear its ugly head. And here in the U.S. the sad fact is that while Jews make up only 2.4% of the American population, they are the victims of 60% of all religious-based hate crimes...and that number is now growing.

Growing, thanks to the hateful rhetoric of some in Congress and certain groups on today's major collage and university campuses...campuses like Harvard where 34 Harvard University student organizations recently signed a statement that they, “hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence,” and that Israel's “apartheid regime is the only one to blame.” Simply, I know Israel is not to blame as much as I know that the hate perpetrated against both the Jewish people and Israel herself, are today's tangible realities.

Israel is the only country in the world that warns enemy civilians to get out of harms way many days before harm is inflicted, while the enemy that is Hamas kills their own people who try to heed those warnings. Hamas is the only one who places rocket launchers and munitions inside and next to schools and hospitals while using their own people as “human shields,” thus deeming their own cowardly and miserable lives to be more important than that of their fellow so-called Palestinians. And yet again, these are the people who many in our country are crying for while shedding not a tear for Israeli babies beheaded and burnt alive, not a tear for whole families slaughtered nor for the atrocities committed on their person both before and after death. These are the forgotten Israeli victims whose only peace comes in the fact that they no longer have to witness a world gone mad, and whose unspeakable deaths, for some, are but media generated propaganda and fodder that they want you to believe never happened.

These are the people whose deaths, in my opinion, sees Barack Obama's hands stained with their blood as well. How so? Obama knew what the outcome would be when as president, his Iranian nuclear deal emboldened Iran into becoming a terrorist supplying powerhouse. Also, by then putting the hoped for normalization between Israel and moderate Arab states in jeopardy, Hamas was able to become Iran's “annihilate Israel” proxy army of sorts. And while Obama's goal has always been to see “political islam” becoming the dominant force in the Middle East...which would then allow the “Levant” to come to fruition...it should come as no surprise that he recently stated,“Both sides are to blame for the Israel-Hamas conflict and nobody’s hands are clean.”

Really Obama, sticking up for your brethren yet again it seems while urging Americans to “take in the whole truth.” Well, here's some truth for you Obama and for those of your ilk...if you had not emboldened Iran...and hence terrorists everywhere...with your aforementioned Iranian nuclear deal; if you had not pushed for a two state solution knowing well that what you called Palestine as a muslim homeland never existed; if you had not stabbed Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu in the back every chance you had...Hamas would not have become as strong as it now is, and Iran would have better been kept in check.

This is reality as I see it for the Hamas initiated war with Israel has truly become a war of survival for both Israel and the Jewish people...and maybe even for Western civilization itself. And with the growth of anti-Semitism taking over both common sense and the media discourse, we here in our country again see the Jews wrongly being blamed for all the world's woes. And it's all courtesy of the far-left's indoctrinated version of hate that sadly seems to have taken over our country's very soul.

But no matter the misplaced insanity of some wanting evil to triumph over good, the fact remains that Israel and the Jewish people will not only survive but thrive. And why.. . because the Jewish people were God's chosen people who have well proven themselves to be survivors. And when those out to destroy what has become the very driving force that is survival...a force deeply ingrained within Jewish blood... they not the Jewish people nor Israel, will find themselves to be the losers in the end. Case closed.
