While speaking at a Thursday news conference for Gov. Ron DeSantis in Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Joseph Ladapo, that state's surgeon general, advised people to steer clear of the updated booster vaccine for COVID-19.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not yet approved the new vaccine — which is reportedly designed to protect against the BA.2.86 omicron subvariant.

"There’s a new vaccine that’s coming around the corner, a new mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, and there’s essentially no evidence for it," Ladapo said during the news conference, according to local news outlets.

"There’s been no clinical trial done in human beings showing that it benefits people" he said. "There’s been no clinical trial showing that it is a safe product for people — and not only that, but then there are a lot of red flags."

In terms of specific concerns, Ladapo warned that the updated vaccines "actually cause cardiac injury in many people." Read more and see videos here.

...Oh how clueless and so totally inane these “Only Trump” folks are for time and again I have heralded both Trump's economic and foreign policy achievements...but again it's not good enough for this bunch.

Simply, I believe that tangible realities and the rule of law that is the Constitution must always “trump” Trump. And the last time I checked the Constitution, “We the People” were still free to support, to campaign, and then vote for whomever we personally feel is the best candidate to be president, whether it be in said primaries or the general election itself. And while the “Only Trump” loyalists scream that “loyalty” to Trump is paramount above all else, in today's heated political discourse they take that to mean we all must faithfully worship at what I call the “altar of Trump.”

And how wrong these “Only Trump” sorts are for “loyalty” to one man is not what our “Founders and Framers” ever intended, for devout “loyalty” to one person reeks of the forced “loyalty” usually demanded by one who thinks themselves to be a dictator or to be a king, or is demanded by those who desire a theocracy...Read entire article here

Conservatives Have One Question After Far-Left Activists Occupy Speaker McCarthy's Office

Seven far-left activists were arrested Monday after occupying House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s office over funding for HIV and AIDS programs. 

The demonstrators demanded Congress reauthorize provisions of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, set to expire at the end of the month. 

A spokesperson for the Capitol police said the agitators were asked to leave but “refused to cease demonstrating.”  

“PEPFAR has saved millions of lives. It is criminal for some members of Congress to treat it as a political football,” Charles King, CEO of Housing Works, said in a statement. “AIDS isn’t over until it’s over for everyone. PEPFAR has been essential to helping people in developing countries flatten the curve of HIV transmission. The United States has committed to the international goal of ending AIDS by 2030, and we cannot do that if PEPFAR is threatened.” Read more, see tweets and videos here.

McCarthy to green light Biden impeachment this week

Fox News Digital has confirmed House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., will tell House Republicans today that beginning an impeachment inquiry against President Biden is "the logical next step." 

Tuesday morning's Punchbowl newsletter reported that House Republican leaders will meet behind closed doors Thursday for a scheduled update from House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., on their investigations into Biden and his son, Hunter Biden. At the meeting, McCarthy is expected to say an impeachment inquiry is the "logical next step" for the Republican majority.
