Obama White House Ban On Lead Ammunition Has Been Trashed

After President Donald J. Trump’s upset win over Hillary Clinton, the Obama White House went on what could be arguable called a F-you tour. Former President Obama released more Gitmo detainees, banned offshore drilling, ended the Cuban wet foot, dry foot and Cuban Medical Professional Parole Programs (screwing over Cuban refugees), and designated almost 2 million acres national monuments that will prevent further natural gas and oil exploration.

In what many called a petty swipe at hunters and rural Americans, the 44^th president also banned lead ammunition on federal lands. With Ryan Zinke confirmed as out new interior secretary, he immediately repealed the ban this week (via The Hill):

Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke signed an order Thursday overturning a ban on using lead ammunition on wildlife refuges. 

Zinke signed the order on his first day in office, overturning a policy implemented by former Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) Director Dan Ashe on Jan. 19, the Obama administration’s last full day in office.

House GOP Expected to Release Health Care Plan This Week

Republicans in the House of Representatives are expected to finally introduce legislation this week to repeal and replace Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act, according to ABC News.

A meeting between House Speaker Paul Ryan, Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney, and Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden was held on Saturday to discuss the bill.

Ryan, who many believe is in charge of the process, assured Americans during an interview on Fox News that all is going well.

"We got a choice to make. Do we want to keep Obamacare, or do we want to repeal and replace Obamacare?" Ryan said.

Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky raised concern last week when he tweeted that the ObamaCare legislation was being kept under “lock and key” in a “secure location.”

"This should be an open and transparent process," Paul said. "This is being presented as if it were a national secret, as if this was a plot to invade another country, as if this were national security. That's wrong."

 

Ryan downplayed Paul's intrigue, calling it a "publicity stunt."

 

“I like Rand, but I think he’s looking for a publicity stunt here,” Ryan said. “The things he described are just not accurate.”

 

Republicans only need 51 votes in the Senate to repeal Obamacare.

Report: Trump unhappy about Sessions’ recusal from Russia investigations

As I wrote two days ago at TGR: “Regarding Sessions, consider this from the New York Sun: ‘If I could have done so in good conscience, I would have been pleased to demonstrate my integrity, and immediately silence the criticism, by getting off the case. Since I believe there is no basis for recusal, I cannot. The motion is Denied.’ Those are the words with which President Trump’s ideal Supreme Court justice — Antonin Scalia — refused to recuse himself from a case involving his duck-hunting pal, Vice President Cheney. He was reacting to a recusal motion from the Sierra Club, and he made short work of it in a magnificent opinion that begs for study in the wake of the recusal today by Attorney General Sessions in the investigation in respect of Russia.”

I also wrote: “Where is the Trump of the campaign trail? All tough and full of bluster. Why does he keep caving so quick?” The fact that he was angry about Sessions’ recusal is a good sign: he isn’t willing to back down and cave to the Democrats’ witch-hunt. Now he has to keep this kind of thing from happening again.

Just a Thought...
On Obama's Wiretapping of President Trump

On Sunday radio personality Mark Levin laid a plausible scenario regarding Obama's believed wiretapping of President Trump's private residence in Trump Tower, but unless we have someone like Trey Gowdy to run with it, I'm afraid Obama will get away without a scratch once again.

And why...because there's this little thing called Chapter 36 of title 50 of the US code 'War and National Defense,' Subchapter 1, section 1802 which states that the president does NOT need a FISA warrant to initiate electronic surveillance on anyone...all he needs is to have his attorney general (as in his then puppet Loretta Lynch) sign off on it under oath.

How I hope I am wrong but I don't think I am.
