Op-ed:
No One's Owed The Nomination
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots / Right Side Patriots Radio
The Op-ed posted here is my opinion alone, and does not necessarily represent the views of blogspot.com

Let me start by saying, once again, that if Donald J. Trump does garner the Republican nomination for president that I will, for the third time, vote for him. However, I have clearly stated on social media, in print, and on the radio that in 2024, personally I would prefer to see Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as both the Republican nominee and as president with the reasons why stated in my articles, 'Why DeSantis 2004...Part One' and 'Why DeSantis 2004...'Part Two.'

And so in this article there is no need to rehash my feelings as to the political and moral differences between the two men or why I support one over the other. What I intend to do here is present my opinion as to why, I believe, the man who deems that 2024 is owed to him is as far off in that belief as Hillary was in believing that the presidency was owed to her back in 2016.

But know this article is not intended as a political “hit piece” against now candidate Donald J. Trump for I know well that Trump was a great president especially when it came to economics. Why so...because an in-depth understanding of economics is the key driving force behind all successful businessmen. And Trump indeed was and still is a successful businessman whose business savvy when president not only allowed us to become energy independent but resulted in the lowest inflation rate in 40+ years, as well as his keeping consumer prices in check while at the same time seeing job numbers...especially for minorities...soar. And his actions did result in a heightened sense of security along our southern border as well as his court appointees...for the most part...leaning more decidedly to the right. And lastly, on the foreign policy front, President Trump's partial brokering of the 'Abraham Accords' saw alliances forming between Israel and certain Arab nations that few would have ever thought possible, thus ushering in a time stamped modicum of stability and the hoped for beginnings of vested peace in the Middle East.

And with President Trump being able to do all these great things while under the thumb of one Democrat initiated witch hunt after another, kudos must be given for not only his above stated accomplishments, but for his tenacity as well...tenacity in standing ever strong against seemingly insurmountable odds. And he was able to do so while still pretending not to be a politician...while at the same time pretending to be a conservative. But, in my eyes, Donald J. Trump is indeed the consummate politician...a media generated so-called celebrity politician...now replete with the usual array of politically motivated lies told, veiled falsehoods and innuendos implied, silly and oh so childish name calling of any who oppose him, along with a more than healthy dose of narcissism thrown in for what some consider good measure.

And so the man who still at times pretends to be a conservative...which he has freely admitted on numerous occasions that he is not now nor has ever been a conservative...still believes that no matter the party label he wears or doesn't wear...no matter the legal actions that follow him...that abject and unwavering “loyalty” to him is not only required but demanded of all those who come into his self-deemed protective orb.

Loyalty,” as in one having unwavering allegiance to now candidate Trump alone. “Loyalty” based not just upon ones blind following devotion of sorts, but “loyalty” in the guise of a pledge made to him no matter that common sense and applied logic should dictate otherwise. Such is the calling card of what's known as the “Only Trumpers”... folks I now believe to be as politically dangerous to our country's future as are, obviously, the far left Democrats. And dare not forget the still in existence folks known as “Never Trumpers”...those who were as vehement in their denial of Trump back in 2016 and 2020 and who will be so again in 2024, even if it means their voting for or writing in a fringe, no chance of winning candidate, or simply not voting at all.

And in Trump's continuing use of the word “loyalty” as being but a blanket to cover what in reality is the mandated worshiping at what I call the “alter of Trump,” what most forget is that “loyalty” must not be the sole property of one man, but that due to the ever dangerous nature of current events “loyalty” must now more than ever be proprietary to one's country and to its rule of law...in this case being the United States of America and the Constitution.

Yet even with all I've just said I will again vote for Donald J. Trump but only...and I repeat only...if he's the Republican nominee. And this is no matter my knowing well that my vote will be a wasted vote for the Democrat powers that be will never allow a second Trump presidency especially when their so wanted, Obama initiated, “transformation of America” has, thankfully for us, not yet reached its true and lasting fruition.

But what's even more upsetting about the above stated scenario is that Trump already knows the final outcome of the Democrats hoped for rematch of 2020's Trump v. Biden debacle...as well as his knowing that today's Democrats have an exceedingly deep pocketbook courtesy of George Soros whose monies can easily help to “manipulate the vote” if need be. And this is the very same George Soros who Trump himself accepted money from back in 2004. Done in the guise of a $160 million loan which enabled Trump to move forward with the building of “Trump Tower” in Chicago, said monies came courtesy of a so-called “mezzanine loan”...a loan similar to a second mortgage in that higher interest rates apply than do the rates set and locked in as per the initial construction loan.

And while at the time the court of public opinion deemed this act to be but one wealthy businessman doing business with another wealthy business man...and actually there is no problem with that...Trump knew even back then about Soro's nefarious character, his past ever so shady business endeavors, and his total disdain for America and all she proudly stands for.

And yet Trump happily did business with George Soros, something that needs to be remembered when deciding whom to vote for come the primaries. Simply, the man who now relishes in using as his calling card the hugging and kissing of the American flag, put his garnering of the almighty dollar before his country...it cannot be said any plainer or more directly than that even though he did so a decade before even thinking of running for president.

And as history time and again has shown, one's past actions can not only come back to haunt, but can actually under certain circumstances be repeated even if mistakenly done so. One must be reminded of past fallout, whether said fallout was positive or negative, for actions do have consequences, whether said consequences are deserved or not.

And so Donald J. Trump, the man deemed to be both the anti-establishment candidate and president...the man who promised to take down Deep State...aka the “swamp”...and the political establishment in both the Republican and Democrat parties not only did not keep that promise, but has seen those entities actually growing stronger and more embolden while on his watch. And, while this in and of itself is not his fault...after all Trump was and still is being mired down in a Democrat initiated witch hunt in addition to now serious legal charges being levied against him...the problem here is in the very enormity of these entities strength which now could border on the insurmountable with Trump as president again.

Why so...simply because Trump's current still unresolved scandals, plus his third criminal indictment just recently having been handed down, along with what will surely be newly manufactured personal scandals, will not only cast a hauntingly ominous shadow over what would actually be his lame duck presidency, but would overwhelmingly dictate the public discourse for so many years to come.

And then there's numerous court appearances awaiting as per the indictments...appearances taking even more time away from a second Trump administration doing the “people's business.” Basically, when combining the two stated scenarios, the reality then becomes that nothing of substance will get done...all of which, in turn, will negatively affect not only the four years of his second presidency but the 2028 presidential race as well. Simply, Republicans can kiss the White House goodbye for a generation or more even before the first candidate in either party announces their 2028 presidential run.

Again why so...because the already split Republican party will have become even more of a pariah drowning in a sea of ongoing criticism and contempt due to the always toxic environment when legal charges are rendered along with campaign promises being made that were for whatever reason unable to be kept. Many Republicans, and especially independents, are already tired of all the personal drama and political baggage Trump carries, so even if they end up voting for him in 2024 because the opposition is rightly not an option, said baggage and drama could still negatively affect down ticketRepublican candidates. And this might well cause the Republicans to lose their now slim hold on the House never mind taking back the Senate, which in turn would also cast an ominous foreboding in regards to 2028.

The Republican party, in general, is tired of not only the divisiveness within its own ranks, but tired of seeing other candidates...good morally decent candidates...and their messages being drowned out not only by Trump's hateful rhetoric, but rhetoric now being coupled with the blindly worshiping voices of the crackling gaggle of “Only Trumper” loyalists.

The other candidates not only deserve to be heard but deserve to be considered for isn't the whole reason for voting being to put the best people in office...people who put America first before themselves. It used to be that way before revenge politics entered and dominated the scene with revenge politics now having a name, as in Donald J. Trump and those who blindly worship at his alter. Of course vote for Trump if he gets the nomination, but do consider others during the primaries especially with word to the affect that Trump will not (as I write this) be debating any of his primary opponents. And in my opinion it's because Trump's  overinflated ego, his “you owe me” attitude, his current high poll numbers (which really are still too far out to matter), and maybe even his having a modicum of fear of debating certain persons, will simply not allow it. Remember, no one is owed the nomination...not even Trump...and he like all the others should have to prove to the voters why they are worthy of their vote. Case closed.

Popular Democrat governor breaks with party, speaks out against sex change surgeries for minors
Gov. Andy Beshear says he's 'never' supported child sex change surgery, but has maintained support for 'gender-affirming care'

Democratic Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has broken with his party when it comes to just how far he's willing to support medical treatments for children identifying as transgender.

Beshear, who polls show maintains one of the nation's highest approval ratings for a sitting governor despite leading a deep-red state, pushed back on Republican criticism last week that he supports sex change surgeries for children.

In a new ad titled, "Parents," Beshear says the attacks from Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, his Republican opponent in this year's gubernatorial race, concerning child sex changes are "not true," and declares he's "never supported gender reassignment surgery for kids – and those procedures don’t happen here in Kentucky."

He also referenced his promise to "support parents," who he says "know what's best" for their children, a position he has maintained when it comes to other types of transgender-related treatments, such as hormone therapies, which...Read more and see video here.

Jack Smith's Long History of Failed Prosecution Cases Against Republicans                                            Sarah Arnold / Townhall Tipsheet

After news broke late Thursday night that corrupt Special Counsel Jack Smith was gearing up to bring additional charges against former President Trump, the 45th president insisted Smith was weaponizing the Justice Department.

Calling it “harassment,” Trump responded to Smith’s decision to bring more charges against him in the indictment over his possession of classified documents, despite President Joe Biden facing almost no repercussions for doing the same thing.

“It’s not a criminal case,” Trump began. “Where’s Biden with all the documents? He’s got 20 times, 30 times the documents I have, and he has not made it easy for them either. He has been hiding boxes. They’re sending boxes to Chinatown. Boxes are being sent to Chinatown, yet China is paying them millions of dollars. You explain that one. You don’t even hear about it. All you hear about is Trump.”

Door may be open to impeaching Biden for misdeeds committed prior to presidency: legal experts
House Speaker McCarthy has floated idea in recent days of impeaching President Biden

House Republicans have floated launching an impeachment inquiry against President Biden amid newly surfaced allegations that suggest his involvement in the business dealings his son, Hunter. But can congressional lawmakers initiate the use of that constitutional tool for alleged treason, bribery or high crimes and misdemeanors that transpired before holding the office of the presidency?

"The answer is clear," Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz told Fox News Digital. "No one knows."

Article II, Section 4, of the U.S. Constitution states: "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

But it doesn’t specify whether those alleged actions need to take place during the time the official holds the office. Read more and see videos here.

Here's Why Joe Biden Can't Pardon His Son
Matt Vespa / Townhall Tipsheet

It has not been a good week for the Biden White House. The evidence of wrongdoing from their alleged bribery operation hasn’t been refuted or disproven. Hunter Biden’s sweetheart plea deal got tossed by a judge who apparently saw it as a perversion of justice. Hunter was about to plead guilty to gun and tax evasion charges and get no jail time. It was a crock.

Spencer wrote today that more unethical activities were uncovered through new emails, where Hunter wanted a $2 million retainer to recover frozen Libyan assets in 2015. The emails were sent among Democratic donors, who mulled the proposal due to Hunter's access to then-Vice President Joe Biden.

Leah added that Hunter is also being investigated for being a foreign agent by the Justice Department, which law professor Jonathan Turley said is a charge the Biden White House fears most. Turley added that pardoning Hunter remains the “break-the-glass” option regarding this emerging scandal that could detonate...Read more and see tweets here.

Fed hikes interest rates to 22-year high after June pause
/ NEW YORK POST / Business

The Federal Reserve on Wednesday took its foot off the brakes and hiked interest rates yet again — taking them to a 22-year high.

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell announced the unanimous decision for a quarter-point hike, raising the benchmark federal-funds rate to a range between 5.25% and 5.5%.

It marked the 11th increase in the past 12 meetings following last month’s brief pause.

The hike sent the benchmark rate to its highest point since 2001 — and Powell signaled that another increase is possible before the year’s out as officials continue to wrestle with stubbornly-high inflation.

“The process of getting inflation back down to 2% has a long way to go,” Powell said at a press conference following the decision.

“We think we’re going to need to hold, certainly, policy at restrictive levels for some time, and we’d be prepared to raise further if we think that’s appropriate.”. Read more and see video here.

Hunter Biden's rejected plea deal puts Justice Department in hot seat
'Something is rotten in the state of Delaware, and the judge sniffed it out today,' one critic said

President Biden's Justice Department is facing heat over developments that transpired during Hunter Biden's first court appearance on Wednesday.

Hunter Biden's plea deal fell apart, and he pleaded "not guilty" as federal prosecutors confirmed he's still under federal investigation. The president's son was expected to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax counts of willful failure to pay federal income tax as part of the plea deal to avoid jail time on a felony gun charge.

Critics have since set their sights on the Justice Department following the development. Mike Howell, director of the Oversight Project at the Heritage Foundation, said that "something is rotten in the state of Delaware, and the judge sniffed it out today."

"We're thrilled her reasoning tracked with the arguments we laid out in our brief to the Court," Howell told Fox News Digital. "Hunter Biden won't be able to use this sweetheart plea deal as a get out of jail free card for any charges...Read more and see video here.

Bowe Bergdahl court-martial conviction for Army desertion thrown out by federal judge
Bergdahl pleaded guilty in 2017 to desertion, was dishonorably discharged from Army but spared prison time

A former U.S. Army soldier who pleaded guilty to desertion after leaving his post while deployed in Afghanistan and was subsequently captured and tortured by the Taliban had his court-martial conviction vacated Tuesday.

The ruling by U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton in Washington D.C. said that military judge Jeffrey Nance, who presided over the court-martial of Bowe Bergdahl, failed to disclose that he had applied to the executive branch for a job as an immigration judge, creating a potential conflict of interest.

Fox News Digital has reached out to the Army and Justice Department.

Walton noted that former President Trump criticized Bergdahl during the 2016 presidential campaign. Bergdahl's lawyers argued that the criticism placed command influence on Nance. Read more and see video here.

McCarthy Says Impeachment Inquiry Will Begin Once the Biden White House Does This...
Matt Vespa / Townhall Tipsheet

It’s not that I don’t like the position Speaker Kevin McCarthy took on the subject. It’s a rational decision, but I am worried that Republicans might get cold feet. The ongoing Biden corruption saga is gathering momentum. The evidence is mounting. And it’s being confirmed, with credible witnesses and whistleblowers detailing an intricate and sordid tale of wrongdoing compounded by the Justice Department's interference in the agencies investigating the president’s son on tax issues. Why was the DOJ so aggressive in its meddling? Some roads circle back to Joe Biden, specifically the Burisma bribe, where Joe and Hunter were paid $5 million each in 2015-16.

The California Republican hinted that the allegations surrounding the president and his son rise to the level of an impeachment inquiry. He doubled down on that position this week, adding that the impeachment red line would be when Biden officials start to withhold documents (via Fox News): Read more, see tweet and video here.

Op-ed:
Go Away Obama...Please Just Go Away
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots / Right Side Patriots Radio
The Op-ed posted here is my opinion alone, and does not necessarily represent the views of blogspot.com

...And it's this alone that exposes the truth that Joe Biden, is not now nor has he ever been the one running either the so-called “DC political show” nor our country as well.

And it's Joe Biden's ineptitude that has left Obama with no other other choice but to occasionally step out of the shadows, and outwardly play to his still blindly following masses. Making dangerous statements in his own right, or at the very least trying hard to maneuver the public discourse towards favoring the viewpoint of the far left, Obama is counting on what he perceives to be the willingness of the masses to ignore the truth...a truth they dare not be allowed to accept.

An example of Obama's not long ago emerging from the shadows heralds back to when he helped push forward what was once known as “fake news”...a term that in time morphed into “misinformation.” And while both terms were and still are being used interchangeably to silence and suppress our Republican and conservative voices...and that while after President Trump was elected Obama spent weeks talking about how “misinformation” was the reason for the Democrats loss...Read entire article here.
