One day of pseudo-compassion and it’s back to campaigning
By: Diane Sori
Superstorm Sandy came, saw, and conquered...and left
unbelievable devastation in its wake.
Especially in New Jersey where simply put...the famed Jersey
Shore is under water.
And Sandy also left an unlikely love-fest that is really
sickening to watch. New Jersey is
hurting NO doubt about it, but Governor Chris Christie is actually hurting his
state more by lavishing praise on a president who is using the suffering of Jersey’s
residents for political fodder and political fodder alone, with Christie falling
for it hook, line and sinker.
Governor Christie is indeed shell-shocked by the scope of
the damage and is a truly caring person, and while his statement that the
devastation wrought by the storm is too important for petty politics might ring
true for him it is NOT true for Barack HUSSEIN Obama.
Why...because he now has the perfect foil to hide behind to
deflect attention away from his being put under the microscope for Benghazi.
So while Obama tries to come across as an effective and caring
commander-in-chief while touring the storm’s destruction at the Jersey shore (with
camera crew in tow for photo-ops I might add) saying all the right words and making all the promises
Governor Christie wants to hear, it’s all for show and show alone for how can he make us
believe he cares for the storm’s victims when he didn’t care about the victims
of the brutal murderous attack in Benghazi.
And
by the way, touring areas of such major destruction is part of his
presidential job description...as in what he's doing is expected NOT
something he's doing by choice or because he really cares.
But you know what...Obama’s for the camera dog and pony show really won’t
matter as most people have already decided who they’re going to vote for, in
fact, many have already voted. And with Obama
returning to the campaign trail today, the reality is that he gave up only one day’s campaigning to
focus on the storm's victims...only one day to have to force a phony look of compassion on his face...only one day and he’s gone NOT to give them a thought again.
Well you know what, what's so sorrowful about it is that it's one more day than he gave Ambassador
Stevens and the others.
Some commander-in-chief...some leader...some phony.
And what’s really sad is that Governor Christie, through his
tears and his anger about what he called ‘unfathomable damage’ is NOT seeing
that he and his fellow Jerseyites are being used as the poster children for a
man who will promise them everything and then deliver them nothing.
“We will rebuild it...but for those of us who are my age, it
won’t be the same” Christie said, but having lived through Andrew and Wilma I
can safely tell him it will be rebuilt, and once the waters recede what at
first appeared unfathomable will become doable and fixable, and it will be done
in spite of Obama’s one day episode of caring.
One day of caring in the scope of things means nothing as do
Obama’s promises of help for help would have come with or without his politically
motivated bloviations...Obama knows it, Christie will come to know it, and the
people of New Jersey already know it, for shows of compassion one day in
duration will soon be replaced by the reality that once he can’t use their
situation for his personal gain Barack HUSSEIN Obama will turn his back on
them just as he’s turned his back on Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glenn
Doherty, and Tyrone Woods.
Talk is cheap...actions speak louder than words, and the
actions or lack thereof by Barack HUSSEIN Obama speaks volumes with no further
words needed.

Caring Obuttman: It took Obama 7 DAYS to visit Joplin MO after tornado wiped out half of the town and killed 120 PEOPLE. It took Obama 14 DAYS to visit the Gulf of Mexico after the BP oil spill. Obama DECLINED TO VISIT TENNESSEE after the HISORIC 2010, 1000 year FLOODS. Obama IGNORED THE TEXAS WILD FIRES WHERE OVER 400 HOMES were destroyed. And of course Obama IGNORED CALLS FRO HELP FROM BENGHAZI. But it took Obama only one day to visit the hurricane damage on the east coast. THEN AGAIN THERE IS AN ELECTION NEXT WEEK.
ReplyDeleteRight Kathin9... this is a political maneuver and a plea for BIG GOVERNMENT and FEMA take-over. That is is motive coming in the guise of "caring leader" :(
DeleteHis visiting NJ was all about photo-ops for his campaign and NOTHING more. All Obama cares about is himself as in 'me, myself, and I.
Deletepardon the typo my laptop has the hiccups ;-()
