Because, you see, attacks upon “British or Western values” are not hate crimes as far as British authorities are concerned. Hate crimes can only be committed against Muslims, in the form of “offensive language.” A mass murder attack? Pah! It’s the price of “diversity”! (Thanks to Jihad Watch reader Michael for the scans.)
