Rudy Giuliani blasts Bill de Blasio's tenure as NYC mayor: 'It breaks my heart'

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani lashed out at the Big Apple's current mayor, Bill de Blasio, Friday on "Fox & Friends," saying it "breaks [his] heart" to see the direction of the city.

Giuliani took particular issue with rising homelessness in New York City, which reportedly reached a record earlier this year.

"Homelessness was gone and homelessness should be gone," Giuliani said. "There's a way to look at homelessness that these liberals just don't get. When I see a city with homeless people, I see a city with a mayor who doesn't give a damn about people, because if you give a damn about people, you don't let them lay on the street."

Giuliani said during his administration police officers were directed to intervene and offer to bring people to homeless shelters.
