Op-ed:
One of Three Men Will Be the Republican Nominee

It's over...his final 'State of the Union Address' is now one for the
history books. And so the long-awaited final countdown begins for in
just a year from now we can say bye-bye to Barack HUSSEIN Obama...the
worst president in American history...or more specifically a man who
legally should not have been president in the first place.
And now being days out from Obama's address, there is no need to
further pick apart what has already been done so by the 'talking heads'
except to say that in Obama's desperation to complete his
"fundamental
transformation" of America before the clock ticks down on his
presidency, he delivered a speech loaded with the obligatory lies
coupled with a total disconnect of what is America's true reality today.
Lost in his delusions is his pathological denial that he is America's
chief problem, that he contributed greatly to the world's problems, and
that his campaign promise of bipartisanship is now crashing down around
him.

And as Obama tried to lay the groundwork for his implementing more
radical changes once he leaves office...changes he called
"progress" but
what is actually the forward march of socialism and
progressivism...let's not forget his bravado about his power grabs done
via executive orders alone. And for me his caviler attitude towards the
prime threat we face today coupled with his pandering and making light
of said threat...as in his favorite JV team the blood-lust driven group
of barbarians known as ISIS...is truly the only thing we need to focus
on for if we do not stop them 'over there' they soon will have blood
flowing in the streets 'over here.'
“As we focus on destroying ISIL, over-the-top claims that this is
World War III just play into their hands. Masses of fighters on the back
of pickup trucks and twisted souls plotting in apartments or garages
pose an enormous danger to civilians and must be stopped. But they do
not threaten our national existence,” And with those words Obama showed
calculated disdain for our
“national existence” for ISIS recruitment is
at an all time high and he has done basically nothing of substance to
stop them. So as the slaughter of innocents continues in the Middle East
and now spills over into Europe, if Obama's so-wanted influx of muslim
anything-but refugees is not stopped before it even begins, the adage
that you cannot put the genie back in the bottle once the genie has been
set free becomes reality for you cannot diminish ISIS by ignoring or
downplaying ISIS.

Thankfully in Thursday night's Republican debate the question of ISIS
was attacked head on in both the so-called 'second tier' debate and in
the main event. But while the second tier players did all mimic each
other as per the need to defeat ISIS, I believe at this point in the
primary cycle we must focus on weeding out those having no chance of
winning and bringing the choice back to where it has always been...a
race between Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio. And to that affect
it is time for Rand Paul to exit this race. Rand Paul...the whiny
Libertarian trying to pass himself off as a Conservative
Republican...had a hissy-fit because he did not make the main stage and
decided to sit this debate out. Bad decision for throwing a temper
tantrum as would a two-year old child shows that Paul is not the person
we need or want to lead us out of the 'dark and dank' Obama years.

As for the remaining three, Carly Fiorina shined as her expertise and
business smarts is right on target and I believe she, in the end, would
make a great vice-presidential choice for whomever of the top three
finally gets the nomination. As for Mike Huckabee...a nice guy who has
one major flaw...he is a nice guy...too nice perhaps for a job that in
this day and age of islamic terrorism requires hardness and toughness
not niceness. And lastly Rick Santorum...the man who shouts every time he
is asked a question and who twists every issue into a 'social
issue'...he really needs to trade in his politician garb for some
clerical garb as he still does not get that the Constitution is the law
of our land not the Bible. Enough said on that I think.

Now, like I stated above, this race has come down to three candidates
and three alone, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio. The others in
the main debate have no chance of securing the nomination and they know
it. So why are they still here...to split the vote and assure a Hillary
win...that is if Hillary hasn't been replaced by Julian Castro after her
pants-suited, temporary face-lifted self isn't hauled off to jail. So who
needs to go...Jeb Bush for starters, Florida's once good governor has
fallen so far from political grace what with his being on the ground
floor of Common Core...the dumbing down of America's children...and with
his 'they come here out of love' stance on illegals. Also, while
continuing to promote himself as a champion of small government and
small business, the fact is that while he was governor, Jeb supported
the 2008 TARP bailout of Wall Street, as he tried to get Floridians to
believe that it was needed to avoid
“financial unraveling.” And
something he does not want to get out is that during his two terms as
governor, the Florida budget grew by 27%..delegating out more monies
than it took in. Can you say Obama.
Ohio Governor John Kasich is another one who needs to exit post-haste as
he, like Obama, is all about 'me, myself' and I.' During the debate I
actually lost count of how many times Kasich referenced himself when
answering the moderators questions...we have a narcissistic bloviator in
office now...we do not need another one, especially when Kasich is one
of only nine Republican governors to accept the Medicaid expansion under
the nightmare known as ObamaCare. And lest we forget Kasich's ties to
the Lehaman Brothers whose asset management business imploded, helping
to spur the 2008 financial crisis.

As for New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, I will say he knows how
to debate, but the baggage he comes with is too great to overcome. First
is his touchy-feely moments captured on camera with Obama after
Hurricane Sandy barreled through New Jersey causing millions of dollars
in damage. That one embrace coupled with words praising Obama helped
Mitt Romney lose the election. And lets not forget Christie's years as a
lobbyist representing the Securities Industry Association, where he
succeeded in getting securities exempted from New Jersey’s Consumer
Fraud Act. Christie was also sued and found guilty of libel when running
for a seat on the Morris County Freeholder Board (a position akin to a
city council) when he lied in over 400 televised ads that his opponent
was being investigated by the country prosecutor.

Christie also lied
about pension reform regarding New Jersey's state’s police officers and
firefighters that, when in 2011 he signed legislation raising public
employees pension contributions while at the same time cutting their
benefits, but saying that the state will in return make regular payments
into the system. Totally failed to deliver on those payments, Christie
sent New Jersey's pension system even deeper into debt where it remains
to this day. And I think appointing two muslims to New Jersey's High
Court speaks for itself as does Christie's picture embracing the qur'an and
radical imam Mustafa EL-Amin...translation: Chris Christie needs to go...period.
Now I come to Dr. Ben Carson, a brilliant neurosurgeon who should have
stayed in medicine where he truly shines. Thrust into the national
spotlight after his National Prayer Breakfast appearance where he
rightfully called Obama to task over ObamaCare, Carson...who just became
a registered Republican a mere six months before announcing his
candidacy...and his supporters need to come to grips with the fact that
one good speech at a prayer breakfast does not a president make.
Seriously lacking economic savvy let alone having a clue as to foreign
policy, Dr. Carson, like Mike Huckabee, is a decent, likable, and
honorable man...but unlike Huckabee, Carson's true Democratic roots
shown through during the debate as he embraced the left's inclusion
nonsense with his 'we all have to get along' rhetoric forgetting that we
do not need to get along with our enemies...we need to send them back
to the 7th century from whence they came.

So now we come down to the top three...Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Marco
Rubio...and I must be honest in saying that all did well in Thursday
night's debate truly separating themselves from all others running.
While of course I feel that my personal choice Marco Rubio was top dog,
all three had outstanding moments, but I will start with Rubio's first.
Always passionate and on-topic Rubio again hit Hillary hard in a quote
now going viral on the internet...
“Hillary Clinton is disqualified from
being commander in chief of the United States...someone who cannot
handle intelligence information appropriately, cannot be
commander-in-chief and someone who lies to the families of those four
victims in Benghazi can never be president of the United States.” No
truer words spoken. And Rubio also nailed Obama's allegiance to America
saying that,
“On the issue of Barack Obama, Barack Obama does not
believe that America is a great global power. Barack Obama believes
America is an arrogant global power that needs to be cut down to
size...” Adding that,
“There is a war against ISIS. Not just against
ISIS but against radical jihadists terrorists. That is war they win or
we win. When I’m president of the United States we will win the war on
ISIS. The most powerful intelligence agency is going to tell us where we
are, the most powerful military in the world will destroy them. And if
we capture them alive. They are getting a one-way ticket to Guantanamo
Bay, Cuba and we are going to find out everything they know,” Rubio was
of course alluding to the fact that waterboarding is rightfully back on
the table...the kumbaya sorts be damned.

But one of Rubio's most powerful moments came when he took Obama on in
regards to the Second Amendment. Saying that,
“I am convinced that if
the president could confiscate every gun in America, he would,” Rubio
added when asked to offer evidence to support his words said that
“This
president, every chance he has ever gotten, has tried to undermine the
Second Amendment.” And by closing his answer with,
“The Second Amendment
is not an option. It is not a suggestion. It's a constitutional right,”
Rubio made it clear that he, as president, will be a staunch defender
of our gun rights....our Constitutionally given right to 'keep and bear arms.'
Ted Cruz had outstanding moments as well. Starting the night by
criticizing Obama for failing to mention in his SOTU address the 10 U.S.
sailors who were seized and later released by Iranian forces in the
Persian Gulf, Cruz said,
“We were horrified to see the sight of 10
American sailors on their knees with their hands on their head. In that
state of the union, President Obama didn’t so much as mention those 10
sailors...It was heartbreaking. But the good news is the next commander
in chief is standing on this stage." And how right he is as any of those
seven men would be better than the 'Butcher of Benghazi.' Adding that,
“Any nation that captures our fighting men will feel the full force and
fury of the United States of America,” Cruz, like Rubio, showed where
his true loyalties lie...that being with a strong America and with a
strong American military.

And Cruz's answer when asked how he intends to stop mass shootings and
violent crime was also spot-on. Saying,
"The answer is simple...you
prosecute criminals. You target the bad guys. You know, a minute ago,
(co-debate moderator Neil Cavuto) asked, ‘What has President Obama done
to illustrate that he wants to go after guns? Well, he appointed Eric
Holder as attorney general. Eric Holder said he viewed his mission as
brainwashing the American people against guns,” is indeed exactly what
the entire Obama administration has tried to do.
Also, when Cruz took on Obama's lies about his supposed economic
successes outlined in his SOTU address, he again scored a home run.
Saying,
"The millionaires and billionaires are doing great under Obama,
but we have the lowest percentage of Americans working today of any year
since 1977. Median wages have stagnated. And the Obama-Clinton economy
has left behind the working men and women of this country," Cruz has
facts to back up his statement, facts that include a key employment
statistic known as the 'civilian labor force participation rate'. This
statistic takes the number of Americans in the labor force, as in those
who are either employed or who are seeking employment, and divides it by
the total civilian population validating Cruz's statement.

Now as for Donald Trump, when asked if he had changed his mind on the
temporarily halting of all muslim immigration into our country, he stood
strong and said in a stern voice,
“No”...a truly powerful
moment...albeit a moment that I am wise enough to know will never happen
for while stopping immigration from ISIS controlled countries is a
strong possibility, and while not letting in any unvetted muslims should
be a fact, the truth is we cannot alienate those Arab countries who are
our allies...allies who we need to secure their own countries once ISIS
has been removed.
And Trump saying that
"I want security for this country," has him again
being on target as that is something we all want, but security means
having a tangible and workable plan to get that security and that is
where Trump falls short for while Trump might put into words what many
of us are feeling, words is all he has, and as we all know
words are a dime a dozen.

As for the heated exchanges between the top three candidates, three
exchanges are of note...Cruz v. Trump on his eligibility issue; Trump v.
Cruz on a perceived insult of New Yorkers; and Rubio v. Cruz over
Cruz's voting record. First the eligibility issue, and that exchange goes
to Cruz who pushed Trump into a corner by pointing out that last fall Trump's
attorney's had already told him that Cruz was eligible to run, and that
the entire issue being brought up was simply because,
"Since September,
the Constitution hasn't changed. But the poll numbers have," Cruz said
and guess what...he's right.
But the next round goes to Trump who was taken aback by Cruz's insult of
his so-called
"New York values." "Everyone understands that the values
in New York City are socially liberal, are pro-abortion, are pro-gay
marriage, focused around money and the media" Cruz said and that had
Trump rightly hitting back by speaking about New York City's response to 9/11.
"The
people of New York fought and fought and fought, and we saw more
death...the smell of death was with us for months.” "We rebuilt Downtown
Manhattan, and everybody in the world watched and loved New York and
loved New Yorkers," Trump countered, and he is one hundred percent
correct as Cruz failed to preface his remark with words to the affect
that he is speaking in regards to New York's politics and not its
people.

And lastly, the third of the major heated exchanges is where Marco Rubio
slammed Cruz on his voting record on immigration, trade, and voting
against Department of Defense funding, and that round must go to Rubio.
When Rubio ran down a list of Cruz's flip-flops on said issues, Cruz
shot back at Rubio for
“dumping your oppo [opposition] research folder
on the debate stage,” but added that
, “At least half of the things Marco
said are flat-out false. They’re absolutely false,” meaning according to
Cruz himself half of what Rubio said is true. Not good and that
response led Rubio to add,
"That is not consistent conservatism, that is
political calculation," ...actually it's flipping one's vote to
play to 'certain' segments of the population solely for their votes.
So as Obama's last SOTU address will forever be known as the 'State of
Denial' address, the sixth Republican debate brought three men to the
forefront and one of those three will take on Hillary Clinton, and
whomever that man is it is critical that we all unite behind him or our
beloved America will truly become unrecognizable to us.
