Juan Francisco Lopez- Sanchez was found NOT GUILTY of murdering Kate Steinle. This five times deported. seven times convicted felon claimed he 'found' a towel-wrapped gun on the pier...a gun that had been stolen from a police vehicle...and that it 'accidentally' discharged when he picked up the towel, ricocheted off a wall, hitting Kate Steinle in the back, who, as she died in her fathers arms said, "help me daddy." But the jury was NOT allowed to hear of Sanchez's deportations nor of his arrests, thus proving once again that our entire judicial system needs major overhauling as justice truly was NOT served.

BREAKING: US Senate Passes Historic Tax Reform Package, 51-49

FINAL UPDATE - The votes are in, and the ayes have it.  After a marathon evening of debating and considering amendments, the US Senate has approved the GOP's tax reform bill, which would simplify the tax code and cut taxes for the vast majority of American households, small businesses and corporations.  Every Republican voted yes, except for Tennessee's Bob Corker.

 Democrats uniformly voted no.  This is a big legislative victory for the GOP, which overcame a great deal of ferocious opposition -- much of it rooted in misinformation -- to pass the legislation.  Up next, a conference committee with the House.  But here's your summary for tonight:

UPDATE III - It's now looking official: Senate Republicans have the votes to pass tax reform. Arizona's Jeff Flake announced he's jumping on the bandwagon, and the finalized legislation includes a (paid for) amendment sought by Maine's Susan Collins that mirrors the House-passed SALT (state and local tax deduction) compromise. That strongly suggests that she'll be a "yes," too. Add it up, and that's 51, negating the need for Vice President Pence to break a potential tie. Depending on Bob Corker's mood in a few hours, McConnell might even get all 52 GOP votes. But all he really needs is 50-plus-one, and he says he's got 'em:

FBI Launches Investigation Into Antifa Criminals

The FBI is launching an investigation into people “motivated to commit violent criminal activity” by “Antifa ideology,” according to a Thursday announcement by the organization’s director.

FBI director Christopher Wray announced the investigation to the House Homeland Security Committee, emphasizing the organization was not investigating people for their ideology, but rather crimes committed because of the ideology, reported the Washington Examiner.

“We do have a very active domestic terrorism program,” Wray told the committee. “And while we’re not investigating Antifa as Antifa — that’s an ideology and we don’t investigate ideologies — we are investigating a number of what we would call anarchist-extremist investigations where we have properly predicated subjects of people who are motivated to commit violent criminal activity on kind of an Antifa ideology.”
