Mattis Warns Army: 'Stand Ready'

Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis urged the Army Monday to be prepared in case diplomatic relations with North Korea break down.

“It is right now a diplomatically, economic-sanctions-buttressed effort to try and turn North Korea off of this path,” Mattis said during his keynote speech at the annual AUSA conference in Washington, D.C. “What does the future hold? Neither you nor I can say.”

President Trump seemed to signal in recent weeks that he’s grown tired of diplomatic efforts to rein in the rogue regime.

“Presidents and their administrations have been talking to North Korea for 25 years, agreements made and massive amounts of money paid hasn't worked, agreements violated before the ink was dry, makings fools of U.S. negotiators. Sorry, but only one thing will work!” he tweeted earlier this month.

Mattis urged the audience to be ready if Trump needed them.

“There is one thing the U.S. Army can do, and that is you have to be ready to ensure we have military options that our president can deploy if needed,” he added. “The international community has spoken, but that means the U.S. Army must stand ready. “

And the world, Mattis said, would much rather deal with the Department of State than the Department of Defense.

“What we want to do is be so ready and be very much aware that we fight the way we come, that everybody in the world wants to deal with Secretary Tillerson and the Department of State, not the Department of Defense and the United States Army,” Mattis told the audience.

Leftist Professor Blames Whites and “Trumpism” for Vegas Massacre

Last year, Drexel University professor George Ciccariello-Maher made the wrong kind of headlines when he tweeted, “All I want for Christmas is white genocide.”

Some eleven months later, the leftist professor seems to have gotten his wish. And shortly after a deranged gunman slayed nearly 60 people and injured more than 500 others in one of the most devastating acts of violence in our country’s history, this waste of space again took to Twitter to blame white privilege, mainstream liberals, and Donald Trump for the slaying.

“A white man,” Ciccariello-Maher first tweeted, accentuating the identity of the shooter, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock. “It’s the white supremacist patriarchy, stupid.”

Sensing that perhaps these tweets were not quite enough to get his bizarre point across, the politics professor expounded considerably.

“But liberals will drown out all discourse with a deafening chorus screeching ‘gun control,’” he wrote. “To believe that someone who would shoot down 50 people wouldn’t circumvent any gun law you pass is the height of delusion. But liberal escapism means talking about easy questions and proposing easy non-solutions rather than talking about who kills and why.

Bombshell: Antifa Are Receiving Military Training in Syria

Antifa has finally crossed the line from thuggish to outright terrorist — and now, as a new bombshell report finds, members of the protest groups are actually crossing into Syria to receive training from ISIS terrorists.

The ties that bind?

Both groups use violence as a means to their ends. And both groups share similar tyrannical political views that are aligned with communist, controllling principles.

The blog Vlad Tepes has the story (h/t YourNewsWire.com):

American and European Antifa members are being attracted to the US-backed Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) due to their anarcho-communist politics, who are in turn persuading the Antifa extremists to fight alongside them in the “Rojova revolution.”

Prisonplanet.com reports: Security agencies are concerned that these Antifa members will continue the “revolution at home” once they return. Already FBI sources have revealed Antifa literature and photos taken in the Middle East which were found in the hotel room of suspected Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock.

In a policy that began under the Obama administration, the US military is providing weapons and training to YPG members, many of whom are directly linked to the PKK terrorist organization.
