USA Today, Hamas-CAIR Claim Muslims Facing Post-Brussels “Backlash”

Pamela Geller /Atlas Shrugs

Another jihad massacre, another enemedia story about the fictional and never-present “backlash.”

“The average Muslim still feels intimidated, still feels scared, still feels insecure.” Oh, really? Imagine how non-Muslims feel.

Hamas-CAIR claims that there has been a rise in hate crimes against Muslims, but note that not a single actual incident is in this story. Wouldn’t they tell the USA Today reporters, and wouldn’t they love to run it, if this “backlash” were real? In fact, it’s a media myth. Islamofauxbic hate crimes all too frequently turn out to have been committed by Muslims — mostly so that Muslims can claim they’re being persecuted and that counter-terror efforts have to end. And...

Ibrahim El Bakraoui was one of the suicide bombers who blew himself up and killed dozens in Brussels Tuesday morning. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan claims this tragedy could have been avoided had Belgium listened to his warning.

El Bakraoui, along with his brother, Khalid, had criminal pasts but were not connected to terrorism before carrying out Tuesday's carnage. Yet, Erdogan insists he told Belgium authorities that El Bakraoui was a dangerous militant. Belgium apparently did not listen.
Ibrahim El Bakraoui was detained in the Turkish city of Gaziantep in June 2015 near the Syrian border and then deported to the Netherlands a month later at his own request, said President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
But El Bakraoui was later freed by Belgium which "ignored our warning that this person is a foreign fighter", added Mr Erdogan.
If Erdogan is correct, then Belgium has some serious explaining to do. This failed oversight is just another example of Europe's lenient immigration policies. Between that and the inefficient airport security, who could not even pick up on bright red flags captured by airport cameras, Belgium is much too vulnerable to terror.
Two female Republican representatives are asking the House Appropriations Committee to consider adding language to the 2017 appropriations bill that would end taxpayer subsidies to Planned Parenthood. In a letter to the committee chairmen, Reps. Diane Black (R-TN) and Martha Roby (R-AL) explain why this should be a top priority in this year’s appropriations process. A total of 105 members of Congress have added their signatures to the letter, including Democratic legislators Collin Peterson (D-MN) and Daniel Lipinski (D-IL).
As Congress considers health care reforms under the pressure of rising costs, we firmly believe that organizations that provide comprehensive health care and respect all life – both the born and unborn – are best equipped to offer the most effective health care services to those in need. For these reasons, we respectfully request your consideration of the will of the House to deny any and all funds to the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc. through the Labor-HHS appropriations bill.
Last summer's Planned Parenthood investigation, which exposed their negotiating the sale of aborted baby parts, can explain the urgency in these lawmakers’ voices. The graphic and shocking videos of employees laughing about the money they could acquire from fetal tissue churned stomachs all over the country. The latest Planned Parenthood report further underscored how much priority it places on the lucrative service of abortion. The organization, which received $554 million in taxpayer funds, performed over 323,999 abortions. Its prenatal and adoption services paled in comparison.

It's Time for Kasich to Quit the Race
By Christopher Ruddy

Jeb Bush’s endorsement of Ted Cruz on Wednesday is a major turning point in this campaign.

Long considered the total outsider, Bush’s embrace of outsider Cruz now unites both the establishment and conservative wings of the Republican Party behind him.

The bottom line now is very clear: the establishment wing of the party sees no chance of John Kasich winning and knows that only a two-man race will allow voters to find a candidate the GOP can unite behind.

Jeb Bush’s strong endorsement of Cruz is really the GOP conservative and establishment wings politely asking the Ohio governor to end his presidential bid.
He needs to listen to that request and act on it.

Though Jeb did not do well in the primary, he remains highly respected among conservatives, party leaders and among party donors. He did a remarkable job as Florida’s governor, with one of the most conservative track records of any governor in modern times.

Likewise, John Kasich has done a great job in Ohio. He is a good man and would make a good president.

But Jeb withdrew from the race, and Kasich has no chance of winning the presidency this year.
