Gov. Cuomo Lambasts Ocasio-Cortez, Others Over Amazon's Decision to Ditch New York Plans
Gov. Cuomo Lambasts Ocasio-Cortez, Others Over Amazon's Decision to Ditch New York PlansOn Thursday, Amazon announced it would no longer be building its new headquarters in New York. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was excited about the announcement, saying people have the power to organize and the results are incredible.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) didn't share Ocasio-Cortez's sentiments though.

"Amazon chose to come to New York because we are the capital of the world and the best place to do business. We compete in and won the most hotly contested national economic development competition in the United States, resulting in at least 25,000-40,000 good paying jobs for our state and nearly $30 billion dollars in new revenue to fund transit improvements, new housing, schools and countless other quality of life improvements," Cuomo said in a statement. "Bringing Amazon to New York diversified our economy away from real estate and Wall Street, further cementing our status as an emerging center for tech and was an extraordinary economic win not just for Queens and New York City, but for the entire region, from Long Island to Albany's nanotech center."

Mike Pence: Iran is plotting a ‘new Holocaust’ that would ‘erase Israel from the map’ as he urges European Union nations to withdraw from Obama-era nuclear deal

The New York Times reported the discovery of 42,500 Nazi ghettos and camps over 13 years of analysis. That number includes “killing centres,” forced labour camps, prisoner-of-war camps, brothels and “care” centres where pregnant women were forced to have abortions, the New York Times reported. 30,000 slave labour camps; 1,150 Jewish ghettos; 980 concentration camps; 1,000 prisoner-of-war camps; 500 brothels; and thousands of other camps for pregnant women and the elderly.

Trump plans to allocate $8 billion to fund border wall, source says

President Trump's plans to declare a national emergency in order to fund his long-promised border wall will enable his administration to move $8 billion from various federal agencies to fund the project, a senior administration official told Fox News late Thursday.

The news comes as Trump is expected to sign a House border security package that provides $1.4 billion for the project, which is far below the $5.7 billion Trump insisted he needed and would finance just a quarter of the 200-plus miles he wanted to be defended against illegal immigrants.

Sarah Sanders, the White House press secretary, said earlier Thursday that Trump will sign the spending bill and declare a national emergency at the same time Friday morning.
