United Nations of hate, lies and jihad

Pamela Geller / Atlas Shrugs

To reason with the irrational is futile. To speak of humanity to the inhumane in pointless. The UN is nothing more than the club of the largest world body, the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation).

So the letter in the name of thousands of lawyers associated with the Legal Forum for Israel concerning  Ban Ki Moon’s recent statements accusing Israeli forces of violating international humanitarian law, and especially Ban’s statement of  questioning Israel’s respect for the principles of distinction and proportionality, and his call for an “investigation into the repeated shelling of UN facilities harboring civilians,” is the real human rights crime.

15 August, 2014 UN Secretary General, the Hon. Ban Ki moon
United Nations Headquarters
New York, NY 10017
Excellency,
It is with considerable sadness and disappointment that we write this letter to you, in the name of thousands of lawyers associated with the Legal Forum for Israel.
We heard and read with amazement and incredulity your recent statements accusing Israeli forces of violating international humanitarian law, and especially your statement of 12 August 2014 questioning of Israel’s respect for the principles of distinction and proportionality, and your call for an “investigation into the repeated shelling of UN facilities harboring civilians”.
We find these statements by you to be nothing less than shocking, deceitful and totally inaccurate.
We know that you have been fully briefed, and...

Obama delays arms shipments to Israel while confirming advanced arms sales to Turkey and Qatar

Does anyone still think that Barack Obama genuinely has any interest in maintaining the United States’ alliance with Israel? That anyone thought he did in the first place shows the power of the mainstream media in propagating falsehoods. Since the beginning of his political career, Obama has allied with the most venomous haters of Israel. No one should have imagined that he would behave any differently as President.

“Obama Administration Delays Arms Shipments to Israel… as it Confirms Advanced Arms Sales to Turkey and Qatar,” by Joseph Gelman, IsraelUSA.net, August 14, 2014:
The Obama administration has recently executed arms sales to two bad actors in the Middle East; Turkey and Qatar.
The administration recently cleared the sale of advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles, also known as AMRAAM’s, to Turkey. According to the announcement, the missiles will be used on Turkey’s F-16 aircraft – and eventually on stealth F-35 aircraft that the administration intends to supply Turkey.
Turkey has requested 145 AMRAAMs, 10 missile guidance sections, and 40 LAU-129 launchers, containers, support equipment, spare and repair parts, integration activities, publications and technical documentation, test equipment, personnel training and training equipment, U.S. government and contractor logistics, engineering and technical support and other related elements or logistical and program support.
The administration statement said the sale was “consistent with U.S. national interests”.
Similarly, the Obama Administration recently signed an agreement with Qatar to sell the Gulf Arab state Apache attack helicopters and Patriot and Javelin air-defense systems valued at $11 billion. Qatar is a major financier and supporter of both Hamas and ISIS in Iraq. The Leader of the Hamas terrorist organization actually lives in Qatar, not far from the United States Central Command headquarters that is based in that country.
As all of this is going on, the Wall Street Journal reports that the Obama Administration has decided to tighten its control on arms transfers to Israel. Each transfer will no longer go directly through the Pentagon, but must now be approved by the State Department and the White House, giving Secretary Kerry and President Obama direct control on every transfer. The new procedure has had the affect of delaying the transfer of precision strike hellfire missiles to Israel in a time of war. The administration clearly intends to use such transfers as political leverage on Israel.
The WSJ reported that a senior Obama administration official said the White House didn’t intend to get into a “tit for tat” with the Israelis when the war broke out in Gaza.
“We have many, many friends around the world. The United States is their strongest friend,” the official said. “The notion that they are playing the United States, or that they’re manipulating us publicly, completely miscalculates their place in the world,” the administration official said in reference to the Jewish State.
On New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s official website, he touts the merits and needs of Common Core, an educational program detailing what students should know in regards to math and English by the end of the 12th grade:
“The Common Core standards are a critical part of transforming New York’s schools, and the failure to effectively implement them has led to confusion and frustration among students and their families.”
Despite his initial optimism surrounding Common Core, however, New York test scores have remained remarkably flat after its implementation:
The second year of state standardized testing on the rigorous Common Core learning standards showed that students made modest gains in math but remained practically flat in English.
Despite another full year of Common Core preparation by schools after the initial rollout of state tests in 2013, there were no dramatic, across-the-board gains in English this year.
Urban and other high-poverty districts saw more year-to-year improvement, but wealthier suburban districts classified as having average or low needs actually saw overall declines.
With unusual teaching strategies such as telling students to draw out math problems, Common Core has been deemed controversial for not preparing students for college.

Perhaps this is why New Yorkers are flat out rejecting the program. GOP gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino and the state GOP ticket submitted a Stop Common Core ballot line petition to further challenge Cuomo in November. In case you’re wondering how passionate people are about ending the program, 62,000 people have signed their names to the petition. Here’s some pictorial proof.

The unpopularity of Common Core in the Empire State is also apparent in recent polling:
When it comes to matters of education policy, according to the poll results, a majority of voters want to see implementation of the Common Core standards stopped rather than continued.
Voters supporting Cuomo want the standards implemented by a 49-38 percent margin, however, Astorino voters are strongly opposed to Common Core being implemented by a 73-17 percent margin," Greenberg said.
Thankfully, parents aren’t just signing documents and participating in surveys - they’re taking their children out of this "educational" program. As a result of Common Core failures in other states, homeschooling is becoming a much more attractive option.
The polling data I shared last month about confused young people was a bit of a downer, so let’s look at three different polls that are a bit more encouraging.

First, I’m glad to see that many Americans feel that government and politicians are their leading cause of daily stress.

Here’s some of what the Washington Post reported on this poll.
…much of that emotional response is completely justified. As if it weren’t enough that our politicians are actively working to harm the global economyand otherwise failing to do their jobsor evenshow up for workin general, they’re also stressing everyone out with the astonishing breadth and depth of their incompetence. And since high stress islinked to shorter life expectancy, they are also literally killing us with their incompetence. In other words, thanks, Obama (and everyone in Congress too).
My job is to connect the dots so that people understand that the only way to reduce stress is to make government smaller.
And, for what it’s worth, that’s the best way to make government at least semi-competent.

Our second batch of polling numbers come from Rasmussen. I’ve shared research and data on the negative impact of redistribution spending (as illustrated by this powerful chart), but I figured most Americans didn’t understand that such programs trap people in dependency.

I’m glad to read that I’m wrong. In an article entitled, “49% Believe Government Programs Increase Poverty in America,” Rasmussen reports the following.
Most Americans still believe current government anti-poverty programs have no impact on poverty in this country or actually increase it. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that a plurality (44%) of American Adults still think the government spends too much on poverty programs.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry Indicted for Abuse of Power
Newsmax

Texas Governor Rick Perry was indicted on Friday by a grand jury in Texas on two counts of abuse of power and coercion over a funding veto he made last year that was seen as being intended to force a local prosecutor to resign.

Perry, a possible Republican candidate in the 2016 presidential race, was indicted by a grand jury in Travis County with abuse of official capacity, a first-degree felony, and coercion of a public official, a third-degree felony.

A probe was launched last year after Perry vetoed $7.5 million in funding for an integrity unit that is part of the Travis County District Attorney's office. The move was seen as hardball politics to force out county District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, a Democrat, after she pleaded guilty to drunken driving.

The indictment said Perry, "with intent to harm another, to-wit, Rosemary Lehmberg and the Public Integrity Unit of the Travis County District Attorney's Office, intentionally or knowingly misused government property."

Perry's General Counsel, Mary Anne Wiley, said the veto was made in accordance with veto authority afforded under the Texas Constitution.

"We will continue to aggressively defend the governor's lawful and constitutional action, and believe we will ultimately prevail," she said.

Special prosecutor Michael McCrum said a conviction on the first-degree felony charge could bring between 5 to 99 years in prison. Perry will be arraigned next week, he added.

"The grand jury has spoken that there is probable cause to believe that he committed at least two felony crimes," McCrum told reporters.

Republicans have long charged that they have been targeted by the Public Integrity Unit, which is in the solidly Democratic Travis County, where left-leaning Austin is the main city. The unit has investigated prominent Republicans including former U.S. House of Representatives Majority Leader Tom Delay.

Perry in recent months has been traveling to Republican battleground states and party gatherings in what analysts said were visits that have helped him scout the political landscape for a possible presidential run.

Perry, the longest-serving governor in the state's history, was forced to exit the 2012 Republican presidential race after several gaffes including when he lost his train of thought during a debate and could not recall which government departments he wanted to abolish.

He is not seeking re-election as governor and will step down next year.

INEXCUSABLE! No White House representative at funeral of two-star general killed in Afghanistan

Bare Naked Islam

The ‘Commander-in-Chief’ had a lot to say about Ferguson but not a word about his two star general slain in Afghanistan

The 'Commander-in-Chief' had a lot to say about Ferguson but not a word about his two star general slain in AfghanistanMajor General Harold Greene, the 2-star general killed in Afghanistan August 5, was laid to rest Thursday at Arlington National Cemetery. It was a beautiful service that was only missing one important attendee: The President of the United States. (He was busy on the golf course) Also missing were the Vice President and the Secretary of Defense.

Just when I think I couldn’t possibly hate Barack Hussein Obama more than I already do, I am proven wrong.

Biz Pac Review  Photos of the service, posted on the internet from news services all over the globe, showed a riderless horse, the general’s children touching the casket and the flag presented to his widow by Army Chief of Staff General Ray Odierno.
