Kushner Denies Collusion Ahead of His Senate Testimony

Senior White House adviser Jared Kushner released an 11-page statement Monday ahead of his congressional testimony that called the meeting between Trump campaign officials and a Russian lawyer a “waste of our time.”

President Trump’s son-in-law also denied that he colluded with Russia during the campaign.

“I did not collude, nor know of anyone else in the campaign who colluded, with any foreign government,” a section of his statement reads. “I had no improper contacts. I have not relied on Russian funds to finance my business activities in the private sector. I have tried to be fully transparent with regard to the filing of my SF-86 form [security clearance], above and beyond what is required. Hopefully, this puts these matters to rest.”

Regarding the meeting, he said he arrived a bit late and came in while the attorney was talking about “the issue of a ban on U.S. adoptions of Russian children.”

"I had no idea why that topic was being raised and quickly determined that my time was not well-spent at this meeting," he said in his statement.

"Reviewing emails recently confirmed my memory that the meeting was a waste of our time and that, in looking for a polite way to leave and get back to my work, I actually emailed an assistant from the meeting after I had been there for ten or so minutes and wrote 'Can u pls call me on my cell? Need excuse to get out of meeting.'"

President Trump Makes Startling Accusation Against James Comey

Even most mainstream news organizations have made it clear that the much-sensationalized Trump/Russia dossier that was recklessly published by BuzzFeed in January is little more than a packet of unsubstantiated wild fictions about the president, but there are still those out there who think that – because the FBI put some faith in the dossier and its author, former British spy Christopher Steele – there must be SOMETHING to the allegations. In an interview with The New York Times this week, President Trump addressed that dossier with his own theory about why James Comey and the FBI put so much emphasis on the document early on in his presidency.
From The Times:

Mr. Trump recalled that a little more than two weeks before his inauguration, Mr. Comey and other intelligence officials briefed him at Trump Tower on Russian meddling. Mr. Comey afterward pulled Mr. Trump aside and told him about a dossier that had been assembled by a former British spy filled with salacious allegations against the incoming president, including supposed sexual escapades in Moscow. The F.B.I. has not corroborated the most sensational assertions in the dossier.

Trump told reporters that he was suspicious about the point of the private meeting.

Attack on Israeli Embassy in Jordan

The Muslim war on the Jews must stop. Enough. Islam must be purged of its Jew hatred and its teachings calling for annihilation of the Jews must be expunged. The Jewish State of Israel must recognized by the Muslim world.

Of course that will not happen making war inevitable – which they will lose badly.

Two Jordanians killed and Israeli injured in deadly embassy shooting as tensions escalate

 

Two Jordanian men have been killed and an Israeli injured after a deadly shooting at the “fortress–like” Israeli embassy in Amman, local authorities have confirmed.

In a statement, police said the two men had entered the embassy to carry out furniture repairs before the shooting took place.

Jordanian police sealed off the embassy compound and deployed dozens of anti-terrorism forces following the incident.

A police statement said: “We have started a large scale investigation into the incident and ordered the prosecutor general to look at all the details.

“Initial checks suggested the two Jordanian men had entered the embassy compound as workmen.”

Tensions escalated between the two countries when Israel installed metal detectors at entry points to Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem after two Israeli policemen were shot dead by three Arab-Israeli gunmen near the site on Friday.
