Court Rips Holder’s DOJ For Handling Of Black Panther Case

Shortly after the election of Barack Hussein Obama, Acting Assistant Attorney General Loretta King announced the Department of Justice would not prosecute 3 New Black Panthers for Election Day voter intimidation.      The outrage of DOJ attorneys who had filed the original complaint later increased when the Department ordered them to not cooperate with an investigation launched by the Civil Rights Commission.

At the same time, the Obama Administration insisted that politics played no part in the Justice Department’s decision to drop the charges. In fact, the Department claimed it was career officials, rather than political appointees, who made the final call.

But in 2010, Larry Klayman’s Judicial Watch produced emails acquired pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act request and lawsuit that clearly revealed “…the two top political appointees at the DOJ were involved in the decision to dismiss the voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party.”

On May 10th of 2009, Associate Attorney General and Obama appointee Thomas Perrelli emailed DOJ colleague and former Democrat election lawyer Sam Hirsch, asking “Where are we on the Black Panther case?”  The email included the “current thoughts on the case” of another Obama appointee, Deputy Attorney General David Ogden, 2nd in command at the DOJ.

Just 2 days later, King—also one of Obama’s DOJ appointees—issued an email to Perrelli and Ogden that included “an update on a planned course of action in the NBPP (New Black Panther Party) litigation.”

Judicial Watch shows that this email “was distributed to Attorney General Eric Holder” himself.

In 2010, Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez testified before the Civil Rights Commission. In response to questions about possible political motivation in dropping the New Black Panther prosecution, Perez stated “the decisions were made by Loretta King in consultation with Steve Rosenbaum,” later suggesting that dropping the case was simply a matter of “…career people disagreeing with career people.”

Prior to filing the lawsuit that forced the release of these emails, the DOJ had told Judicial Watch that the Department could find no records concerning David Perrelli’s “meetings with the White House on the Justice Department’s voter intimidation case against the New Black Panthers.” Yet even the national media had reported “at least 9 meetings between Perrilli and White House officials…regarding the Black Panther case.”

And just yesterday, a federal judge finally agreed that political appointees of Barack Obama did indeed interfere with the Black Panther prosecution. His decision came as a result of the Justice Department’s claim that it owed no attorney’s fees and court costs to Judicial watch for its FOIA related suits because “…none of the records produced in [the] litigation evidenced any political interference whatsoever” by the Department. But Judge Reggie Walton disagreed, writing in his decision that “…the documents reveal that political appointees within DOJ were conferring about the status and resolution of the New Black Panther Party case in the days preceding the DOJ’s dismissal of claims in that case…”

Three years and countless legal fees have finally proven what the American people have known from the beginning—that the Regime is filled with liars who refuse to prosecute “Holder’s people.” Isn’t the DC legal system grand?!

Will This New Fast and Furious Revelation Force Holder to Resign?

by

New Congressional Report Singles Out 5 ATF Officials in Fast and Furious Will Holder Be Forced to Resign?
Without any help from the Obama administration or the U.S. Department of Justice, GOP congressional investigators have determined that five senior officials with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) are together responsible for the failed federal gun-walking operation “Fast and Furious,” The Los Angeles Times reports.

The final report, which is expected to be released later this week, also reveals new evidence that shows agents from ATF in Phoenix initially tried to hide crucial information from the Mexican government about two firearms that were recovered after the brother of a Mexican state attorney general was killed in the country.

The report claims the operation was “marred by missteps, poor judgements and inherently reckless strategy.”

Those implicated go from the ATF special agent-in-charge of the Phoenix field office to the top official in the bureau’s Washington headquarters. Attorney General Eric Holder has always denied any involvement of officials in Washington, D.C.

The congressional investigators said the report, obtained Monday by the Los Angeles Times, holds “the best information available as of now” about Fast and Furious, which led to Holder being found in contempt of Congress for failing to provide duly subpoenaed documents.

Two additional final reports will address “the devastating failure of supervision and leadership” at the DOJ and an “unprecedented obstruction of the [congressional] investigation by the highest levels of the Justice Department, including the attorney general himself.”

The Times has more details:
The joint staff report, authored by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, the top Republican on theSenate Judiciary Committee, was highly critical of the ATF supervisors.
They found that William Newell, the special agent-in-charge in Phoenix, exhibited “repeatedly risky” management and “consistently pushed the envelope of permissible investigative techniques.” The report said “he had been reprimanded … before for crossing the line, but under a new administration and a new attorney general he reverted back to the use of risky gunwalking tactics.”
His boss, Deputy Assistant Director for Field Operations William McMahon, “rubber stamped critical documents that came across his desk without reading them,” the report alleged. “In McMahon’s view it was not his job to ask any questions about what was going on in the field.”
They added that McMahon gave “false testimony” to Congress about signing applications for wiretap intercepts in Fast and Furious.
His supervisor, Mark Chait, assistant director for field operations, “played a surprisingly passive role during the operation,” the report said. “He failed to provide oversight that his experience should have dictated and his position required.”
Above Chait was Deputy Director William Hoover, who the report said ordered an exit strategy to scuttle Fast and Furious but never followed through: “Hoover was derelict in his duty to ensure that public safety was not jeopardized.”
And they said Melson, a longtime career Justice official, “often stayed above the fray” instead of bringing Fast and Furious to an “end sooner.”
But, the investigators said, ATF agents said that they were hamstrung by federal prosecutors in Arizona from  obtaining criminal charges for illegal gun sales, and that Melson “even offered to travel to Phoenix to write the indictments himself. Still, he never ordered it be shut down.”
In the November 2010 slaying in Mexico of Mario Gonzalez, the brother of Patricia Gonzalez, then attorney general for the state of Chihuahua, two of 16 weapons were traced back to Fast and Furious after they were recovered from a shootout with Mexican police.
But 10 days later, ATF Agent Tonya English urged Agent Hope MacAllister and their supervisor, David J. Voth, to keep it under wraps. “My thought is not to release any information,” she told them in an email.
When Patricia Gonzalez later learned that two of the guns had been illegally obtained under Fast and Furious, she was outraged. “The basic ineptitude of these officials [who ordered the Fast and Furious operation] caused the death of my brother and surely thousands more victims,” she said.
The following month, Agent Terry was killed south of Tucson. Voth emailed back, “Ugh … things will most likely get ugly.”
New Congressional Report Singles Out 5 ATF Officials in Fast and Furious Will Holder Be Forced to Resign?
Roughly 2,500 guns were walked in operation Fast and Furious, supposedly in an attempt to track the guns back to high-ranking drug cartel members. However, the program was shut down after U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed in December 2010. At that point, most of the weapons had been lost, but two of the guns were recovered at the scene of Terry’s murder.

The five ATF managers that are indicated in the upcoming congressional report have since moved to other positions. They have either defended Fast and Furious in congressional testimony or refused to talk about it. The LA Times attempted to contact the officials but were unsuccessful Monday.

Additionally, Holder and the DOJ have always maintained that Fast and Furious was only conducted out of the Arizona offices and never involved officials in Washington, D.C., who he says were unaware of the flawed “tactics” being implemented. Holder has refused to turn over all the documents requested by a Congressional committee headed by Rep. Darrel Issa (R-CA) and Obama has granted executive privilege in the case, which has raised additional question about how involved the White House was in the operation.

Just in time for the election...how convenient and contrived

Claim: U.S. forces on Syrian border

Assad considering putting military on highest alert

Russian intelligence has information that U.S. troops are in Turkey near the country’s border with Syria, a senior Syrian official told WND today.

The official said the Russians observed American forces taking part in Turkish military measures to secure the Syria-Turkey borders.

The official said the information about a U.S. military presence in Turkey has led to a debate within the Syrian leadership about whether to move the Syrian military to its highest alert level.

Currently, the Syrian army is on its second highest alert.

While the presence of U.S. forces in Turkey could not be immediately verified, it is not the first time the American military has been accused of aiding the insurgency targeting Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

In February, WND was first to report the U.S., Turkey and Jordan were running a training base for the Syrian rebels in the Jordanian town of Safawi in the country’s northern desert region, according to several knowledgeable Egyptian and Arab security officials speaking to WND.

The security officials also claimed Saudi Arabia was sending weapons to the rebels via surrogates, including through Druze and Christian leaders in Lebanon such as Druze leader Walid Jumblatt; Saudi-Lebanese billionaire Saad Hariri, who recently served as Lebanon’s prime minister; and senior Lebanese opposition leader Samir Farid Geagea.

The U.S. repeatedly has denied directly arming the rebels, stating it is only providing non-lethal aid.

Any aid to the rebels is highly controversial.

WND reported in May there is growing collaboration between the Syrian opposition and al-Qaida as well as evidence the opposition is sending weapons to jihadists in Iraq, according to an Egyptian security official previously speaking to WND.

There are now widespread reports of al-Qaida fighters among the ranks of the opposition, with some jihadist branches reportedly officially joining the U.S.-supported Free Syrian Army.

The opposition is currently intensifying the fight against Assad’s forces in the key city of Aleppo amid claims, denied by the rebels, that the Syrian military has retaken the city.

WND reported that Assad held a meeting last week in which he set the goal of entirely quelling the opposition targeting his regime by October, according to a senior Syrian official.

The official, speaking to WND on condition of anonymity, said Assad ordered his military to rid the Damascus region, including Aleppo, of rebels by the end of Ramadan on Aug. 18. He said Assad believes he can clear the opposition from the region of Homs by Sept. 10 and end the insurgency by October.

The official admitted the coming weeks will be “bloody.” He affirmed Russia stands squarely in the Syrian camp.

Pamela Geller in Haaretz: "My ads will be up, whether they’re up in September 2012 or September 2013. I will pursue that case to the Supreme Court."

ProIsraelAd.jpg

Pamela Geller notes Haaretz's naked bias: "The aggressively uber-left Israeli newspaper has written a piece on our recent win in the landmark decision of AFDI vs MTA. Of course they cite all the usual uber-left suspects as legitimate sources (like the AFDI Threat to Freedom SPLC and the dhimmi Jewicidal ADL) to smear my organization, but that doesn't surprise you, does it? The media always hunts for quotes from subversives to smear our work. Have they ever sought quotes extolling our organization for our dedication to freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, individual rights, and the rights of women and non-Muslims under the Sharia? Ever? Get real. Did they ask me for comment on these smears from the left that they published without any critical examination? Again, get real."

Also: "What I did learn from Cohen's article is that the Jew-hater, Henry Clifford, who is running the anti-Jewish ads, plans to expand his campaign to posters in transit stations in Boston and Providence, Rhode Island. Help us counter his lies and propaganda with the facts. Donate to our pro-Israel ads here."

"The Israeli-Palestinian conflict: Coming to an ad near you," by Debra Nussbaum Cohen in Haaretz, July 29:
The pro-Israel group StandWithUs announced it is paying to put posters in Metro-North train stations in suburban New York to rebut anti-Israel advertisements, creating a new battleground in the broader Israeli-Palestinian fight over American public opinion.
The man behind the anti-Israel advertisements is Henry Clifford, a retired investment banker who formed The Committee for a Just Peace in Israel and Palestine. Through the group, Clifford spent $25,000 to place posters –purporting to show Israel's seizure of Palestinian territory through a series of maps – in 50 Metro-North stations for a month, ending August 5. He is running the same advertisement in two local newspapers near his Connecticut home and says he plans to expand the campaign to posters in transit stations in Boston and possibly Providence, Rhode Island.
An enforced ceasefire?
But the advertising duel over Israel may come to an end in New York City if the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which operates buses, subways and the Metro-North trains, decides to revamp its policy and stop accepting political, or “viewpoint,” advertisements – a shift currently under consideration, according to agency sources.
The MTA is considering changing its policy after losing a case in federal court for rejecting an anti-Muslim, pro-Israel advertisement. The judge ruled on July 20 that the MTA violated the First Amendment rights of Pamela Geller and her group, the American Freedom Defense Initiative, when it rejected its advertisement reading, “In Any War between the Civilized Man and the Savage, Support the Civilized Man.” Lower down it says, "Support Israel; Defeat Jihad," with Stars of David on either side.
The Southern Poverty Law Center has deemed Geller's group and her blog, Atlas Shrugs, hate groups. The MTA formally rejects an advertisement about once a year for not meeting its advertising guidelines, said spokesman Aaron Donovan, but this was the first time in 15 years it rejected one for being demeaning.
In a statement, the MTA said it “is evaluating its existing advertising standards in light of the court’s ruling.”
Charles Moerdler, a member of the MTA board, said the organization has “been carefully studying this for the past week or more to come up with some explanation for where we are and where we ought to be going” on accepting advertisements.
Moerdler, a Holocaust survivor and partner in the law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, has prepared a 14-page memorandum related to political advertising and said he is waiting for the right time to present it to the MTA board.
The Anti-Defamation League called Geller’s advertisement “highly offensive and inflammatory” but agreed with the judge that the MTA was wrong to reject it. “We support the court’s conclusion that this is a form of protected speech under the First Amendment, yet we still strongly object to both the message and the messenger,” said Ron Meier, the ADL's New York regional director.
Geller, who gained widespread attention for zealously opposing the mosque near Ground Zero, vowed to move forward with her advertisements.
“My ads will be up, whether they’re up in September 2012 or September 2013," she said. "I will pursue that case to the Supreme Court."...

Israel has a friend in Romney...an enemy in Obama
By: Diane Sori

You have to love it when Palestinian leaders get hot under the collar because Mitt Romney publicly stated Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel.

Hey, he’s only speaking the truth, something no one in the Obama administration will do.

During a speech in Jerusalem on Sunday, Mitt Romney stated for the entire world to hear that Jerusalem is ‘the capital of Israel.’  Immediately on hearing this, senior Palestinian official Saeb Erekat said the remark was "absolutely unacceptable.”  And then another Palestinian official chimed in and said Romney’s statement was unhelpful to peace negotiations, pointing out it "contradicted” the previous positions held by the American administration.”

As in the Obama administration...famously known for stabbing Israel in the back which makes the Palestinians quite happy.

But you know what...who cares what these men think or say, for Jerusalem is indeed the ancestral capital of the Jewish people as promised to them by God, the true living God of the Bible, and NO muslim’s words or actions will negate that.

As we all know, the fate of Jerusalem is the hot button issues delaying a peace agreement between Israel and the so-called Palestinians (who don’t really exist as they are nothing more than run-of-the-mill Arabs NO different than any other Arab).  But that point is really mute for Israel as there is NO compromise on Jerusalem no matter how much the so-called Palestinians, Barack Hussein Obama, or the Useless Nations wants there to be.

Israel desperately needs a friend in the White House and what Mitt Romney didn’t say in his speech is just as important as what he did say, and shows just what a true friend to Israel his administration will be.  Not once did Romney say the words ‘peace process;’ not once did he say ‘Palestine’ or ‘Palestinians;’ not once did he speak about a two-state solution; and not once did he say East Jerusalem will become the capital of a Palestinian state.  Mitt Romney knows that these so-called Palestinians have a home...it’s called Jordan, as it was always meant to be since Israel became the official Jewish homeland in 1948.

Remember Trans-Jordan.

And while the Obama administration’s policy has always been that Jerusalem’s fate is an issue that should respect the rights of the Palestinians (who have NO rights to Jerusalem by the way), Mitt Romney knows there will never be negotiations on Jerusalem, and the sooner Israel’s enemies, including Barack Hussein Obama, understand this, the better off everyone will be.

Now add in Romney’s remarks that the United States has “a solemn duty and a moral imperative” to stop Iran from achieving nuclear weapons capability and “Israel has a right to defend itself,” and that should leave NO doubt as to where Mitt Romney’s loyalties lie.

Mitt Romney stands decidedly behind Israel and will never waiver in that support.

Barack Hussein Obama, the man who would have NO problem seeing Israel pushed into the sea, unabashedly hates Israel.  Don’t let his photo-op smiles with Israeli officials fool you as hating Israel is part of his islamic religion.  He might try to pull the wool over some folk’s eyes but he won’t over mine as I know Barack Hussein Obama is a muslim, and like all muslims he would like nothing better than to see Israel destroyed.

So the reality for Israel is this...Israel needs a friend in the White House, a friend who will stand by her as she is surrounded by those out to destroy her.  Mitt Romney recognizes the sanctity of the state of Israel, Barack Hussein Obama does not.  And being that Jews might help determine the election they really need to understand how important it is that they vote for the man who supports their homeland and NOT for the man who talks the talk but does NOT walk the walk when it comes to Israel.

We Need More Heroes

We Need More Heroes

By: Lurita Doan  / Townhall Daily

Dr. Sally Ride, an extraordinary woman, a legendary astronaut and a leadership pioneer died last week to little or no fanfare. I kept waiting for the front-page newspaper encomium that would outline her many accomplishments and the breadth of her influence. But that didn’t happen. And then it struck me: perhaps mainstream newspapers are hesitant to highlight the accomplishments of true, known heroes, for fear that the current corral of candidates, congressmen and political operatives who seem to hog the headlines these days look downright puny in comparison.

Sally Ride was a scholar, an astronaut and an entrepreneur. Her degrees from Stanford, B.S., M.A. and a Ph.D. in Physics were clear proof of her brilliance and dedication to science. And, in the 70s, a time when many women were just beginning to enter male-dominated fields, Sally was a standout. What many people may not know is that Sally was also an English major at Stanford, and it was perhaps her superb ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, that translated the complexity of science into everyday language to inspire new generations of kids who wanted to be astronauts and captivated the public.

As the first American woman to enter earth orbit in space, Sally became a thing of legend. And she used her fame and her knowledge for good.

In 1987, Sally Ride wrote a report for NASA, expressing her concerns that NASA had begun deviating from its core mission. She urged a stronger focus on space travel, outposts on the moon and, eventually, travel to Mars. The report was not well received by the NASA bureaucracy and Sally Ride retired and became a professor at Stanford.

But Sally was right to call her report NASA Leadership & America’s Future in Space. NASA had, and continues, to stray from its core mission. The U.S. space program has, essentially, been canceled. Instead of pushing the agency to focus on its core mission and core competencies, Obama has allowed NASA to take itself out of the space business, and thus take the country out of space for the next 30 years.

Worse, to put a man in space, America will now be required to pay Russia for shuttle space. Not too surprisingly, Russia has already stepped forward and declared that the next decade will be "the era of the Soyuz" as Russian space exploration continues.

When I met Sally Ride (we share a 2003 entrepreneurial visionary award), she had become an entrepreneur. Her company, which she had started in 2001, focused on grabbing the attention of the next generation through books for kids about science and space, and seminars and teaching materials for elementary and high school teachers.

Ride understood the power of business and the positive good that can come from capitalism well deployed. She understood that waiting for the government to take action was not necessarily the best way to get something done. And she understood that, often, the private sector can do better than the government, and at substantially less cost.

Sally Ride also understood that many of our problems, in this country with attracting a new generation into careers in math and science, lay with the teacher corps--oftentimes so unionized and so narrowly focused in what a teacher can and cannot teach in a curriculum, that all enthusiasm, from both student and teacher, is lost.

She was no stranger to the political machine, but unlike many other celebrities trotting up to Capitol Hill, who seem to be motivated by a combination of media stunt and activism, Sally only came when called. She worked on several Blue Ribbon commissions, including the prestigious and contentious Presidential Commission on the Space Shuttle Challenger. Ride was familiar with congressional grandstanding, political witch-hunts and Washington’s CYA-at-all-costs mentality. But she didn’t let that stop her from taking a tough stand.

So many women, moving up the professional ladder try too hard to “be one of the boys” or to break into “the old boys’ club”. Sally Ride proved she could be more than just one of the boys, and that sometimes, being in a club of one is just fine.

Sally Ride was also an inspiration to anyone who ever considered a career change. At least three times, she changed her course professionally. Sally Ride, in academia, in space and in business empowered women to enter fields previously restricted to them because of gender, and she did it with a quiet heroism and without a lot of fanfare.

Sadly, many of the news articles written on Ride focused predominantly on the fact that she was gay. So what? Big deal. In what appears to be an effort to pander to the LGBT community, press coverage highlighted Ride’s sexual preference over her other accomplishments.

It is natural in Washington these days for special interest groups to grab at any straw to advance their issues, but one wonders: if the 2012 International AIDS conference had not been in Washington, DC the week that Sally Ride died, would the main stream media have deigned to give her death any coverage at all?

Each week, dozens of books and articles on leaders and leadership make it to print. Many of them, as a subtext, bemoan the current scarcity of “true” leaders. The truth is that we do have leaders, though they are not always the ones who make the leads in front page stories. Our nation has extraordinary Americans, doing extraordinary things, everyday, all around us. We just don’t value them the way we should.

Dr. Sally Ride showed the world what America was all about—that we truly are the land of opportunity. She showed the world that it’s up to each of us to do our best with every opportunity that comes our way, without entitlements, without handouts. She was an exemplary role model in self-sufficiency and common sense and the power of free market enterprise to change the world.

There are lots of folks talking about making the world a better place, but then they wait for the government to do it. Not Sally. She just did it. She made the world a better place, and we are all just a bit better off because an exceptional young woman once looked to the stars and made her dream a reality.

Education: No Longer a Panacea for Blacks

Education: No Longer a Panacea for Black

A recent article in the Washington Post highlighted a particular segment of the nation’s struggling unemployed. That is in itself is not surprising. After all, black unemployment exceeds the unemployment level for handicapped people and many other challenged groups within our nation. The group that the Post profiled was people with Ph.D.s in the sciences. An increasing number of chemists, biologists and other scientists who have invested heavily in their education are finding themselves jobless. Of those who are employed, thousands are doing lower-wage “post-doc” work in laboratories, as opposed to heading up research projects or teaching in universities.

I have always believed that education is one of the vital keys to upward mobility and overcoming poverty. Ph.D. unemployment however, is a startling fact for African Americans who have been taught that education is the great racial equalizer. They have been encouraged to sell or sacrifice almost anything to achieve the highest levels of education. The Washington Post, however, shows us that the most sought-after Ph.D.s may not be the great career makers. Those who are advising today’s students often imply that a college or graduate degree is some sort of financial guarantee. The Post article noted the loud clamoring by groups like the National Science Foundation and the current administration for more American students to pursue advanced degrees in the sciences.

These groups fail to mention that highly-trained students may not find jobs in their field when they finish their degrees.

I’ll never forget a discussion I had with my father at the ripe old age of 12 years. He told me that he was not going to give me a traditional inheritance. He informed me that there would be no money left. Instead, he would give me my inheritance now. My inheritance would be in the form of him financing my entire education as far as I chose to go. The only thing that he asked in return was that I would commit myself to being the best I could be at whatever career path I chose. I thank God for his wisdom and because of his guidance I excelled in a private high school, a private college and in Ivy League graduate school. I will never forget that somebody had to pay for my schooling and I will never forgot that Dad had to work very hard to pay it off.

Students from wealthy or upper-middle class families may find themselves out of work for a while, but they likely have a support system to help them change course and find something else to do. Poorer students, however, particularly those who may be the first in their families to go to college, often borrow huge amounts of money just to obtain a bachelor’s degree. And it is not just the students themselves who are affected: parents or grandparents have often co-signed for the loans, only to find themselves deeply in debt during their retirement years.

Education is an investment, and like any investment it requires thorough research beforehand. There is nothing wrong with majoring in social work, for example. But you should not borrow tens of thousands of dollars to obtain a degree that leads to a career with an average annual salary of $30,000. Students must research the job market, as well as the salaries they can reasonably expect to earn upon graduating before taking out loans that can cripple them financially for decades to come.

Nationwide, we are now facing almost $1 trillion dollars in student loan debt. A 2010 report from the College Board Advocacy and Policy Center revealed that black college graduates have more student loan debt than any other racial group. Twenty-seven percent of African Americans with bachelor’s degrees are carrying at least $30,500 in student loan debt, compared to just 16% of their white counterparts and 9% of Asian American college graduates. The top 1% of all borrowers is facing over $150,000 of debt!

What is the consequence of all this debt? It hinders the very progress we want all students, and racial minorities in particular, to make. Debt ridden graduates are hindered from buying houses and delay getting married and having children. Common sense would indicate this has not helped our nation’s slowing economy.

Many experts have offered policy proposals in response to the mounting student debt crisis. Some have proposed complete student loan forgiveness. Besides being impractical, this is markedly unfair to the adults who declined opportunities to attend high-priced prestigious institutions in order to avoid such debt. Others, including the Chronicle of Higher Education, have called for making four-year college free, just as K-12 education is. But that will still cost money.

Personally, I want to call on all education advocates to start being honest about what a college education is and is not. It is a vital part of improving one’s prospects in life. It is not a magic bullet that guarantees financial security regardless of major or debt burden. Every family should research the most affordable option for college, as well as the job market for various majors. All students should make plans for how they will realistically use their degrees upon graduation.
Obama's CIA considers Israel its No. 1 counterintelligence threat in the agency's Near East Division

More Obama betrayal of a loyal ally. "U.S. sees Israel as spy threat,"

By Matt Apuzzo for the Associated Press (thanks to Pamela Geller):
WASHINGTON — WASHINGTON The CIA station chief opened the locked box containing the sensitive equipment he used from his home in Tel Aviv, Israel, to communicate with CIA headquarters in Virginia, only to find that someone had tampered with it. He sent word to his superiors about the break-in.
The incident, described by three former senior U.S. intelligence officials, might have been dismissed as just another cloak-and-dagger incident in the world of international espionage, except that the same thing had happened to the previous station chief in Israel.
It was a not-so-subtle reminder that, even in a country friendly to the United States, the CIA was itself being watched.
In a separate episode, according to two other former U.S. officials, a CIA officer in Israel came home to find the food in the refrigerator had been rearranged. In all the cases, the U.S. government believes Israel's security services were responsible.
Such meddling underscores what is widely known but rarely discussed outside intelligence circles: Despite inarguable ties between the U.S. and its closest ally in the Middle East and despite statements from U.S. politicians trumpeting the friendship, U.S. national security officials consider Israel to be, at times, a frustrating ally and a genuine counterintelligence threat.
In addition to what the former U.S. officials described as intrusions in homes in the past decade, Israel has been implicated in U.S. criminal espionage cases and disciplinary proceedings against CIA officers and blamed in the presumed death of an important spy in Syria for the CIA during the administration of President George W. Bush.
The CIA considers Israel its No. 1 counterintelligence threat in the agency's Near East Division, the group that oversees spying across the Middle East, according to current and former officials. Counterintelligence is the art of protecting national secrets from spies. This means the CIA believes that U.S. national secrets are safer from other Middle Eastern governments than from Israel....
Romney said in a speech this past week that Israel was "one of our fondest friends," and he criticized Obama for what he called the administration's "shabby treatment" of the Jewish state....

Another black day in Olympic history
By: Diane Sori

I will not be watching the Summer Olympics, period.  I didn’t watch the Opening Ceremonies; I will not watch the competitions or the Closing Ceremonies.

While I support our American athletes 100%, I cannot watch games that do not have the decency to honor the eleven Israeli athletes and coaches who were brutally slaughtered at the Munich games forty years ago.

The IOC (International Olympic Committee) has shown the worst kind of anti-Semitism possible as they're kowtowing down to muslim Arabs, the people who hate everything the West stands for, and especially to the Palestinians, the very ones who committed this atrocity.  The IOC can claim all they want that they didn’t want to make a political statement by honoring the Israelis, but in NOT doing so they are doing the very thing they didn’t want to do.

A minute of silence...that was all that was asked for.  No fancy tributes, no speeches, just a simple minute of silence to honor the blackest day in Olympic history and the IOC would NOT do it, saying they didn’t want to offend anyone (meaning muslims) by doing so.  So instead they deliberately and knowingly chose to offend Israel, the Jewish people, and civilized moral people worldwide.

And worse, they chose to offend the widows and families who have been waiting for 40 years for some sort of recognition that their loved ones were murdered at games that are supposed to promote peace, cooperation, tolerance, and understanding amongst the peoples of the world.

A minute of silence out of a three-hour opening ceremony...equals just a tiny bit more than five seconds to honor each victim. Is that too much to ask...I think not.

Thankfully, NBC broadcaster Bob Costas had the decency and courage to do what no others would do as he caught the TV audience by surprise when he said, "Still, for many, tonight with the world watching is the true time and place to remember those who were lost and how and why they died."

After a five-second pause, NBC cut to a commercial.  At least they let his words sink in for five seconds.

I applaud you, Mr. Bob Costas.

And remember the slaughter we will no matter how hard the IOC, who have shown themselves to be nothing but muslim sympathizers, try to stop that from happening.  Eleven Israeli husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, and uncles were murdered at the hands of Palestinian barbarians who are no different today than they were forty years ago.

Bastards still and bastards they will always be.

And what makes this even worse and more heartbreaking is that the IOC had no problem observing that very same minute of silence for a Georgian luger killed in an accident a few hours before the Opening Ceremony at the 2010 Vancouver Games.  Him they honored but eleven Jews they would not.

Anti-Semitism...flat out in your face anti-Semitism of the worst kind done by hypocrites who have no heart, no soul, and no morals.  Instead of honoring those who came to the games in the spirit of friendly competition and who were murdered on Olympic soil, the IOC cared more about the threat of a boycott by Arab nations.

I am so sick and tired of all the catering and bowing down in submission to the Arabs, the muslims, the Palestinians, and all their vile brethren.  And I am beyond furious that the IOC stands by the very people out to kill us all instead of commemorating eleven brave souls whose lives were cut short by the very ones they are catering to.

Sadly, because of that, I will have to support our American athletes just in spirit for I will NOT watch the Winter Games either, or any future games for that matter, until this terrible wrong is righted.

And I doubt that I’m the only one who feels this way.

Muslim Brotherhood: “Yes, We Will Be Masters of the World”

From: Jihad Watch

During a televised interview earlier this week, Dr. Safwat Hegazy, a popular preacher in Egypt, known for his desire to unify the Arab world into a "United Arab States”—with Jerusalem for a capital—dropped the Western language and made clear what it is the Muslim Brotherhood ultimately seeks: a caliphate and world domination, which even the Supreme Guide of the Brotherhood maintains is the group's mission.

In the interview, which Coptic Solidarity has translated with subtitles (click here), Hegazy simply declares: "If you read the literature of the Muslim Brotherhood, you will find in the literature of the Brotherhood, that which they can never abandon: The Islamic Caliphate and mastership of the world. Yes, we will be masters of the world, one of these days” (emphasis his).

The Race Card Cometh Yet Again

By: Derek Hunter  / Townhall Daily

The Race Card Cometh Yet Again
Political pundits often refer to the time we’re in now – a few weeks out from an election – as the “silly season.”

It’s a time for obsessing over gaffes real and perceived, faux outrage over harmless statements and a general sense of desperation on the part of one candidate or perhaps both. This cycle’s silly season started early, which is to be expected when the challenging party picks its nominee early and the incumbent party has no record of success to promote. But that early start means we sometimes run out of “silly” early and head straight to desperate – and absurd.

Virginia State Sen. Louise Lucas, a Democrat from Portsmouth, already has run out of silly. An official representative of the Obama 2012 campaign, a member of its “Truth Team,” no less, Sen. Lucas went on the John Fredericks Show in Virginia to discuss the presidential election and went off the rails. If you support Mitt Romney, she said on the air, you’re a racist.

Usually, leftists play the race card a little closer to the vest. They slip it into the game subtly, through hints and occasional one-liners. But not Sen. Lucas. She pulled it right out … early … and tossed it into the middle of the table.

“What I am saying to you is Mitt Romney, he's speaking to a segment of the population, who does not like to see people other than a White man in a White House or any other elected position,” she said.

But she wasn’t done. She continued, “Let's be real clear about it... let's be real clear Mitt Romney is speaking to a group of people out there who don't like folks like Barack Obama in any elected or leadership position. We know what's going on here, and some people may be afraid to say it but I am not. I am not afraid to say it.”

She was “real clear,” all right … but only about her own bigotry and ignorance.
Lovely, right? The Obama “Truth Team” has yet to condemn this statement from an officially sanctioned campaign spokesman.

In 2003, then-Sen. Hillary Clinton said, “I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration.” Aside from the fact no one had suggested she couldn’t debate or disagree with the administration, she was absolutely right. But don’t tell that to Sen. Lucas.

According to Sen. Lucas, “All the folks who are saying 'We don't like Barack Obama' they can't tell you any reason they don't…”

No reason? None at all? How about three years of unemployment above 8 percent every month and growth below 3 percent every quarter? Or the $5 trillion in new debt, ObamaCare or recess appointments when Congress wasn’t in recess? I could go on, but to Sen. Lucas, I’ve already gone too far. I’m a racist. I wonder if my opposing President Clinton makes me a redneck-ist. Or my opposition to President Bush’s Medicare prescription drug program makes me a…actually, there isn’t a word for people who oppose things Republicans propose because the people with the hair-trigger to name-call all oppose Republicans. Weird.

Senator Lucas is mad – about what or at whom I have no idea. But she’s happy about one thing – she’s managed to pollute her children’s minds with her sickness. She told Fredericks, “I absolutely believe it's all about race, and for the first time I've convinced my children finally that racism is alive and well.”

Great mom, eh?

When asked “Even in Virginia?” she replied, “In Virginia? How about all across this nation. And especially in Virginia!”

I guess she, a black woman, was elected by a bunch of racists. And I guess President Obama carried Virginia in 2008 because all the racists there forgot they were racists for a while.

Or maybe, just maybe, this country isn’t a racist country. This is where I add the caveat that racism still exists, in people of all colors, but in smaller numbers all the time. Progressives would like people to believe we’re a nation full of Mississippi Democrats from the 1950s, but we’re not.

Criticism of – and dislike for – the policies of a president who happens to be black does not a Klansman make.

Nor does judging the President by the standard he set for himself when he said in 2009, “I will be held accountable. I’ve got four years….A year from now, I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress, but there’s still going to be some pain out there. If I don’t have this done in three years, then this is going to be a one-term proposition.”

It’s not “done” in any sense – not even close. Every piece of economic data suggests it hasn’t even started in the direction of being “done.” But don’t tell that to Sen Lucas, lest she call Barack Obama a racist.
America – R.I.P. – Read This Before Voting…
-  The Bottom Line  -

Their are two absolutes that will determine the destiny of America.

First and foremost is the foundation that has been deteriorating for decades.  The Judeo-Christian foundation that created and upon which this country became great, has been slowly and deliberately chiseled away by those who want a Godless country and the freedoms of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Secondly is the electorate.  If the current trends are allowed to persist without any corrections, the American experiment will end in failure in about the same time it took other empires to die.
A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."

A Scary Obituary -

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage."
The Obituary follows:
Born 1776, Died 2012

It doesn't hurt to read this several times.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in
St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning
the last Presidential election:

Number of States won by:            Obama: 19                McCain: 29
Square miles of land won by:       Obama: 580,000        McCain: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by:    Obama: 127 million  McCain: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare…"

Olson believes the  United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's – and they vote – then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message.

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom..

This is truly scary

Obama Promised Not to Raise Taxes on Middle Class; He Lied

Obama Promised Not to Raise Taxes on Middle Class; He Lied

'You didn't build that': Anti-colonialist rage?

'Americans stole it, he has every right to use power of state to confiscate it back'

Dinesh D’Souza, a former policy adviser to President Reagan and the director of a controversial new film about Barack Obama’s past, told WND he believes the roots of the current president’s infamous “you didn’t build that” speech go back to Kenya and the anti-colonialism seeded in his worldview.

At the beginning of his new film “2016 Obama’s America,” D’Souza states, “We are all shaped by our pasts, and we carry elements of the past into our future. But we have to be careful, because nothing can threaten the future quite as much as the debts of the past.”

And after the Washington, D.C., screening of the film, D’Souza told WND he believes Obama’s anti-colonialist past was the driving force behind telling a crowd at Roanoke, Va., on July 13, “If you’ve got a business – you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

In brief, D’Souza explained European colonialism as fundamentally about occupation, rule, conquest and acquiring wealth; whereas anti-colonialism is fundamentally about redistributing the wealth of the world “so that it is enjoyed equitably by everyone in the world.”

D’Souza told WND, “Anti-colonialism’s core idea is that the wealth America has now is not earned wealth, but stolen wealth. And I believe that is a very influential idea with Obama and his recent comment that business owners didn’t earn their success, they used the public school system and public roads. That is the intellectual equivalent of me saying to Obama, ‘You didn’t really win the election. You, after all, drove on the public roads to your rallies, so you don’t deserve to be president.’

“The reason Obama makes such arguments – bogus though they are – is because he’s trying to say ‘If you didn’t earn it, I have the right to take it,’” D’Souza said. “And that is an idea rooted in anti-colonialism that the rich people and rich countries don’t deserve what they have. They didn’t earn it, they stole it and he has every right to use the power of the state to confiscate it back.”

D’Souza’s unique take that Obama is an anti-colonialist stems from personal experience. After all, D’Souza emigrated from India, where his father and grandfather were anti-colonialists.

As WND reported, D’Souza moved to the United States to attend Dartmouth College and today is president of The King’s College in New York City. In “2016 Obama’s America,” he humorously explains his rise to working in the Reagan White House, becoming a bestselling author and debating against the likes of Jesse Jackson.

In the film, D’Souza takes his audience to Kenya, Hawaii, Indonesia and elsewhere to interview those who know Barack Obama or his mother and father figures. He also interviews Paul Kengor, biographer of Obama’s primary influence, Communist Frank Marshall Davis.

In Kenya, D’Souza tried to interview the president’s step-grandmother Sarah Obama. But once the family found out he had interviewed Barack’s half-brother, George Obama, they refused to talk. They also banned him from the family homestead.

As D’Souza said, George is “the black sheep of the family” because wrote a book expressing conservative ideals and disputing anti-colonialism. Moreover, George is poor but insists on earning his own living.

D’Souza also interviewed psychologist Dr. Paul Vitz about the father figures in Obama’s life. He interviewed experts on the impending crisis of our mounting national debt and examines Obama’s military/defense agenda.

And while most regular WND readers know much about Obama’s murky past, this film is likely to stun the scores Americans who haven’t looked into their president’s formative years.

“I think this is a film that, whatever your politics, you’re going to leave the theater saying, ‘I know a lot more about Obama than I did 90 minutes ago,’” said D’Souza. “And I think that makes the film a contribution to the debate.”

After the Washington screening of “2016 Obama’s America,” one journalist told WND, “It scared the h— out of me!”

When D’Souza was told about the reaction, he replied, “Well, I think what makes the film shocking is that much of the material was unreported by mainstream media, even though the information was not that hard for me to collect. For example, when I was down in Kenya, talking to people related to Obama and those who knew Barack Sr., I asked, ‘Who has interviewed you so far?’ And they said, ‘Nobody. Nobody’s interviewed us.’ And I was shocked. So I kind of felt like I had large areas of territory, and I think that’s why people come out of theaters saying, ‘How come I didn’t know all this?

“I wanted a film that wasn’t like a TV documentary, but was like a real movie and appealed to people both on the intellectual level and the emotional level,” D’Souza explained. “I wanted to make a film by which people could understand Obama, and by that I mean even to empathize with Obama – understand how he became the man that he is above the give and take of political squabbling. I think it’s an interesting film on a human level. The Obama story to me is a riveting story, quite apart from politics.”

Hey Obama...the economy still stinks
By: Diane Sori

Politics and the economy go hand in hand. Always have and always will.  And with the second quarter GDP (Gross Domestic Product) coming in at a miserly 1.5% growth, which is even less than the first quarter 2.0% growth, it simply means that the American economy is not growing fast enough to create the needed number of new jobs to put Americans back to work.

So the bottom line is that the weak 1.5% growth coupled with the newest inflation numbers for June being -0.15% (which is another deflationary month on top of May's -0.12%.), in no way is strong enough to bring down the 8.2% unemployment rate.  These numbers directly affect the political scene as they bode very poorly for Barack Hussein Obama and his re-election bid.  Little job creation and a rise in the inflation rate means our economy is for all intents and purposes...stalled.

While this is surely bad news for Obama and good news for Mitt Romney, these numbers are nothing to be happy about as it shows that Americans are still hurting and hurting bad.

Consumer spending is way down, as people are saving what little extra money they have instead of spending it, and spending is what stimulates the economy.  American consumers just won’t spend because they’re uncertain and fearful about the direction our country is going in, and rightly so.  And with Obama’s economic policies, like his stimulus bill and bailouts, proving to be total failures that leaves people to wonder what their future will be if, God forbid, Obama is re-elected or worse yet, usurps again.

And then in the middle of all this bad news, the Senate in their misguided wisdom, as if wisdom has ever been evident with this Senate, allowed the Bush Tax Cuts for those making over a million dollars a year to expire. Point blank...this Senate just cut tax breaks for the very people who create the jobs and the businesses we Americans so desperately need.

Yet even all this bad economic news, and the fact that the Senate has screwed ‘We the People’ yet again, does NOT seem to faze Obama at all.  Formed in his mind then spewed out his mouth, Obama still bloviates that the economy will grow 2.6% by the end of this year choosing to totally ignoring the latest bad news about the GDP.  He just doesn’t understand or refuses to understand the numbers needed to get to the 2.6% figure.  For that to be achieved the economy would have to grow at a pace of 3% or more for the remainder of this year, and that just is NOT going to happen.

And here’s a real kicker that Obama just doesn’t get...with such dismal job numbers and our economic growth basically at a standstill we could very well be headed into another recession.  And no amount of federal, state, or local cuts to government spending will help stop it.

So, with all this bad economic news and more coming down the road I cannot understand for the life of me how roughly 44% of the American people can still support Barack Hussein Obama and worse yet, say he is doing a good job.

But wait...silly me, how could I forget that roughly 47% of Americans pay NO taxes and most of those are the recipients of Obama’s handouts and freebies, so that explains it in no uncertain terms.  After all, no one will bite, or in this case not vote for, the hand that feeds them.
