Kellyanne: Tax Cuts 'Real, Serious Dough, Not Exactly Crumbs,' Dems Will Have to Explain Their No Votes
National Harbor, MD – White House advisor Kellyanne
Conway spoke Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference
about the tangible benefits of the tax cuts for Americans. She said that
people are starting to realize that they are directly benefitting from
the tax cuts and that Democrats will have some explaining to do as this
realization spreads.
Conway said that the cuts mean “more
Americans will pay zero percent in taxes and we’ll have a tax bracket of
zero percent for some Americans and that the first 24,000 dollars for a
married couple isn’t taxed…that means everybody got a tax cut.”
“At the very basic principle,” she said, “it’s freedom. It’s that you get to hang on to more of your hard-earned money.”
She
called it a shame that “people were lied to that the tax cut wasn’t
going to happen, couldn’t pass, and that if it did it would benefit the
wealthy and the well-connected where the previous code already had.”
