Manchin Does Damage Control After Voting to Remove Trump
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) appears to be doing damage control after voting to find the president guilty on both articles of impeachment. Manchin is one of three Democratic senators that voted to find the president guilty who represent states the president won in 2016. Manchin also voted in favor of calling new witnesses and evidence and proposed a censure of the president in the days leading up to the final vote.

Manchin's West Virginia colleague, GOP Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, said in a recent Fox News interview that Manchin's vote wasn't being well-received back in West Virginia.

"Probably," Sen. Capito began, "Senator Schumer just pulled the noose a little tight and said, 'C'mon everybody. We're going to jump off this cliff together.' And back here, West Virginians are very surprised."

Op-ed:
On the State of the Union Address
By: Diane Sori /The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

He came, he saw, he conquered for President Donald Trump's 2020 State of the Union Address will surely go down in the annals of American history as one of the greatest State of the Union Addresses ever given. An address not only heralding the “great American comeback”...a comeback running the gamut from economic, to national security, to immigration policies, to healthcare issues, to name but a few...but an address heralding individual American exceptionality as well.

Exceptional Americans including conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, recently diagnosed with advanced lung cancer, who was awarded during that very address the Presidential Medal of Freedom; as well as Trump recognizing and surprising the family of Sgt. 1st Class Townsend Williams, deployed for the fourth time to Afghanistan, by revealing that not only had he returned home but that he was in the chamber to greet them. Bringing not only tears of joy to his family... and me as well...thunderous applause and chants of USA were heard from those gathered...at least from those on the right side of the aisle that is.

Also honored was Philadelphia fourth grader Janiyah Davis who received an 'Opportunity Scholarship' allowing her to attend a new public or private school of her and her family's choosing; as well as veteran Tony Rankins who overcame drug addiction, PTSD, and prison time. Now holding a steady job, Rankins was also reunited with his family. Then there's eighth-grader Iain Lanphier, who wants to join the newly created Space Force...wish I could too...and whose great-grandfather Charles McGee, who was sitting besides him, is one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen.

And not to be forgotten is President Trump honoring Army Staff Sergeant Christopher Hake, who was killed by Iran's terrorist leader Qasem Soleimani

Exceptional Americans all honored by an exceptional American president who also spoke of the survival of a child born at 21 weeks as well as his feeling the pain of the brother of Rocky Jones murdered in the Tulare County Shooting Spree by an illegal alien; and recognizing the parents of Kayla Mueller, the young American brutally murdered by ISIS while in Syria on a humanitarian aid mission.

And while several members of Congress boycotted the address most notably “the squad,” Rep. Tim Ryan actually walked out during the address taking to twitter to complain that Trump's address was like "watching professional wrestling,” while Pelosi's invited gun control activist Fred Guttenberg was ejected after shouting obscenities in response to Trump's remarks about protecting the Second Amendment.

But nothing could prepare us for the theatrics of Nancy Pelosi who as House Majority Speaker sat on the dais during the entire address looking disgusted and angry while silently making small tears in her copy of Trump's address where at the end those small tears became an on camera tearing up of her copy of said address. Defended her actions by saying, "He shredded the truth, so I shredded his speech,” what Pelosi, as official “custodian of the record,” actually did was violate 18 U.S. Code 2071 and should technically be removed from office, fined, and even imprisoned. Will that happen...I doubt it for the House is still Democrat controlled.

But Nancy Pelosi in doing what she did not only dishonored her speakership position, but actually left as her legacy her tearing up of a remaining survivor of the Tuskegee Airmen, a premature birth survivor, a service member's family reunion, and her outright disrespecting murder victims still grieving families...while President Trump's speech will be remembered as one of America's finest hours.

November 3, 2020 cannot come soon enough.
