Op-ed:
McCain v. Trump: A Tail of a Two-Tailed Coin By: Diane Sori and Craig Andresen / Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio
“I think it was
disgraceful — disgraceful that the intelligence agencies allowed any
information that turned out to be so false and fake out. That’s something that
Nazi Germany would have done, and did do.”
– President-elect Donald Trump on the recently disclosed ‘Fake News’ story alleging
ties between him and Russia
He’s mad...furious in fact...and rightly so.
By now we all know that Donald Trump is denying any and all accusations
that Russia... that Vladimir Putin...tried to "cultivate and compromise” either him personally with what has been
proven to be a ‘Fake News’ story or concerning the outcome of November’s
election. And you know what...he’s one
hundred percent correct on both accounts, and he’s right that these allegations
were and are nothing but what he called a “political
witch hunt.”

Now rightfully accusing one of the purveyors of ‘Fake News’...the
still Obama-controlled U.S. intelligence services...of taking
“one last shot” at him...Trump is
furious over a recently reported on by CNN totally debunked BuzzFeed story. Released
by Buzzfeed in the days leading up to Trump’s inauguration, an article titled
'Trump
Has Deep Ties To Russia’ with the byline of Ken Bensinger, Mark Schoofs, and
Miriam Elder, was posted online claiming that Russia has been
“cultivating“ Trump for over five years and that Trump has
been in constant contact with the Kremlin for information on his opponents most
especially Hillary Clinton. And this article also claimed that they had proof that
Trump was engaging in sexual misconduct and that the Russians were blackmailing
him in regards to it.
Well guess what...it’s all false...it’s all lies...and all
done as a last minute ploy by the left to try and stop Donald Trump from being
able to take the oath of office come January 20th.
In fact, Moscow has denied the claims via Kremlin spokesman Dmitry
Peskov, who said that, “The information
is not true and is nothing other than a total fabrication,” adding that, “It’s a complete fake, it’s a complete
fabrication, it’s total nonsense.”

Briefly, about seven or so months ago, Christopher Steele, a
former British spy who had been undercover in Moscow in the early 1990s and who
later was the top expert on Russia at the London headquarters of Britain’s spy
agency, MI6, and who upon his retirement in 2009 formed his own commercial
intelligence firm, 'Orbis Business Intelligence' (and who had done work for the
F.B.I. on the investigation of bribery at the FIFA, soccer’s global governing
body), won a “contract” to compose a
dossier on Donald Trump’s ties to Russia. And then last Friday, an
unsubstantiated and unverified account of that dossier... which included encounters
with prostitutes, real estate deals made that were to be used as bribes, and cases
where Donald Trump 'supposedly' worked with Russian intelligence to hack the DNC
computers...was presented to Trump in an appendix to a top-secret intelligence
report.

Now another important fact that you should know...these exact
claims have been circulating for months but most major news organizations have
already seen those allegations in one form or another, and despite their well-known disdain
for Donald Trump, they rightfully chose not to publish nor even allude to the
now published BuzzFeed article replete with its allegations concerning the
afore mentioned events, and they did so simply because all of their efforts to verify those
allegations have failed.
Again, note the words ‘unsubstantiated and unverified’ because
this is the lynch-pin in proving this was nothing but a “witch hunt” by those still whining and crying over the fact that
Hillary did not win.
But to those words must be added the word ‘lie’ for a major
lie was included in this report that should leave all involved at BuzzFeed and
CNN with not only egg on their face but with consequences to pay.

And that involves the article’s claim that Trump’s lawyer,
Michael Cohen, met with Kremlin officials in Prague to set the stage for the release
of documents hacked from the DNC and other Democratic organizations. But the problem
is that Michael Cohen has never been to Prague, and in fact it has been verified that he
was with his son visiting USC and meeting with the baseball coach on the date the meeting was
supposedly to have taken place. In fact, one Mr. Solodukhin, his purported
Russian contact, denied his ever having met Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen or
anyone associated with Donald Trump.
So obviously a different Michael Cohen with no Trump ties whatsoever
may have visited Prague during the time in question and that the two Michael Cohen's
were somehow mixed up in Steele’s dossier...an honest mistake we doubt it...upon
which BuzzFeed’s article and CNN’s report was based.
Ooops...
So why did U.S. intelligence services release and CNN report
on something they knew contained not only unsubstantiated and unverified information...lies
actually if truth be told...except that they colluded in a last ditch attempt to
smear Donald Trump before he could be sworn in as America’s 45th president.
And now add into this assorted mix that major RINO extraordinaire, Arizona
Senator John McCain, has now admitted that it was he who handed what he thought was
the only dossier that smeared Donald Trump over to the F.B.I., totally unaware
that the F.B.I. was already privy to this information.
Recently saying on his website that, “Late last year, I received sensitive information [on Donald Trump] that
has since been made public” and that,
“Upon examination of the contents, and unable to make a judgment about their
accuracy, I delivered the information to the Director of the FBI,” John
McCain has proven that this maneuver of his was nothing but payback for Donald Trump’s
words said back in July 2015 at the 'Family Leadership Summit' in Ames, Iowa, when Trump said, “He’s not a war hero...He’s a war hero because he was captured,” then
adding that, “I like people that weren’t captured," basically defaming and marginalizing
McCain’s war heroics.
And while Trump might have fired the first shot, so to
speak, during a heated primary season, that hatchet was believed to have been
buried some time ago when McCain finally came out, albeit late in the game, in
support of Donald Trump’s nomination for president. But now we know it wasn’t...it
laid festering inside him until McCain felt the time was right for the ultimate
payback.

And while most, if not all Conservatives have been unhappy
for some time with McCain’s politics, most do show him the respect due to a veteran who paid a steep price while being held as a prisoner of the Viet Cong.
Trump...didn’t. He later denied that he said it, later still
tried to deflect away from it, but the truth is he did say it and there was, at
that point, no going back.
Throughout the 2016 campaign, McCain used every opportunity
he could to deride Donald Trump and continued to do so even after Trump had the
nomination. Rather than looking to unify voters around the Republican Party
nominee, McCain did everything he could think of to get Hillary elected.
But that’s not where this tale of a two-tailed coin ends. In
fact, it's far from it.

The dossier that McCain handed over to the F.B.I. was as bogus
as any dossier could possibly be. It was full of falsehoods, lies and smears.
That much we know for sure. It was also something which we now know was already
in the possession of the F.B.I. before McCain passed it on to them. To say the
least, and not to employ an already overused liberal phrase, but what it was,
was 'Fake News.' Real, authentic, 'Fake News.'
Naturally, Trump launched into a Twitter frenzy over it,
both condemning media outlets for running the smear piece and going after the
content of that smear piece as he had every right to do.
Or did he have that right? That’s the real question here...has
Trump actually the right to be upset by this fraudulent dossier?

Remember, after Trump got the nomination, we actively got
behind him to defeat the treasonous Hillary Clinton, but we’re not members of
the bandwagon nor are we blindly riding the 'so-called' Trump train. We said we
would hold Donald Trump accountable, as we have held Obama and Hillary
accountable, and so we will even if it upsets the riders of the train.
For Donald Trump to show his outrage over a 'Fake News' story
now, makes him today’s poster boy for hypocrisy.
Remember when Trump went after Ted Cruz...getting behind, if
not out in front of a National Enquirer story falsely accusing Cruz of several
extramarital affairs?
How about that false story Trump pushed for months regarding
Cruz stealing the Iowa Caucus from Dr. Ben Carson?
Speaking of Ben Carson...remember when Trump referred to the
good doctor as being not very different from a child molester?

How about Trump’s false crusade against Marco Rubio...calling
the Florida Senator
"corrupt" and accusing him of
"defrauding
the people of Florida?”
“Lightweight Senator Marco Rubio is a dishonest person. He
has cheated with credit cards, and does favors for lobbyists. In my opinion, he
is a total crook and I am doing the people of Florida a great favor by further
exposing him. Corrupt Marco Rubio has spent years defrauding the people of
Florida.”
Absolutely none of that was true, and Donald Trump knew it, but he
certainly wasn’t above smearing his competition during primary season when it was
politically expedient for him to do so.
To be as honest as possible, perhaps brutally so, the Oval
Office is no place for the thin of skin, and in a world of 24/7 news cycles,
where everything a politician says is captured on tape somewhere, by someone,
President-elect Trump needs to add a few epidural layers and fast. He also
needs to stop thinking of himself as the only one either capable, or with the
clearance to file false news against others.
Trump’s outrage over this fabricated dossier doesn’t just
seem to be hypocritical...it is indeed hypocritical.
Was Trump right to have spread false and salacious stories
about his political rivals during the campaign? No. Was he right to have
demeaned John McCain’s service? No, and neither was it right for McCain to take
up Hillary’s side in the general election by refusing to vote for Trump any
more than it was right for John McCain to pass along a fraudulent dossier to
the FBI as a means by which to smear Trump.
But, as we said, this is the tale of a two-tailed coin, and
one thing is always true of such coins...two wrongs do not make a right any more
often than a two-tailed coin will ever come up heads.
To be perfectly candid, McCain’s actions with regard to the
dossier in evidence, were wrong in so many ways, because whether or not McCain
likes it, and he obviously doesn’t, Donald Trump is about to take the oath of
office thus becoming our nation’s 45th president, and as such, he at the very
least, is due the respect of verifying such a dossier before it gets passed along.
Turning the ship of state around, after eight miserable years
under the Obama administration, is going to be hard enough at best, and the Commander-in-Chief certainly doesn’t need an old, rusty anchor like McCain dragging him
down. Trump will have quite enough of that coming from the other side of the
aisle, and McCain needs to make a decision as to on which side of that aisle he’s
going to sit.
From where we stand, even with his faults, and yes train
riders, Trump has faults, his agenda seems to be in line with bringing America
back to the top of its game, and the top of the heap of international politics
and leadership where we rightfully belong. Not everybody is going to like, or
agree with every point of his agenda, or with the way he goes about it, but as
the president, Donald Trump does have the authority to do whatever is within the law
and in line with the Constitution to get things done.
To put this another way...
We believe that, in his own unorthodox way, Donald Trump is
embarking on a quest to do what is right and best for this country, but it is
very hard to find, in any way, shape, or form, that what McCain did by passing
along what he had to know was a pack of lies and fabrications regarding Donald
Trump, was in the best interest of this country.
McCain’s actions seem, for all the world, to have been
driven by a personal vendetta...an act of political revenge aimed at Trump for a
slight made in a public forum...an off the cuff, not all too well thought out
comment, and as such, devolves itself from political rhetoric, to a disturbing
realm of salacious lies most usually inhabited by liberals.
The campaign is over. The nomination and the general
election won. Donald Trump is now just a few days away from assuming the office of the President,
and John McCain seems to still be as hell-bent on stopping Trump as any garden
variety, elected, or celebrity liberal.

John McCain either needs to switch his party affiliation to
match his agenda of personal revenge, or he needs to sit down, ride out what
one has to believe will be his final rodeo in the Senate, and shut the hell up.
Perhaps BuzzFeed or CNN is in need of a very senior editor
in their political ethics divisions, and given his handling of the 'Fake News'
dossier...John McCain could well be over qualified for either propaganda outlet.
In this tale of a two-tailed coin toss...Trump wins while McCain loses even more of his waning credibility.
