It's Happening: Brexit 'Article 50' To Be Triggered On March 29

It's Happening: Brexit 'Article 50' To Be Triggered On March 29About nine months after the shock Brexit referendum that saw the UK vote to leave the European Union, Prime Minister Theresa May will officially notify the EU of the their intention to leave on Wednesday, March 29.

This process is called "Article 50" and begins the actual withdrawal from the EU. After triggering Article 50, the UK can begin negotiating terms of the departure from the organization and iron out any future relations with other states in the EU. This should take about two years, with the UK fully leaving the EU in March 2019.

From the BBC:
A spokesman said the government wants negotiations to start as soon as possible but added that they "fully appreciate it is right that the other 27 EU states have time to agree their position".
Mrs May said last year that she intended to notify the EU of the UK's intention to leave by the end of March. The move was approved by Parliament two weeks ago when peers and MPs passed unamended a bill giving the prime minister the authority to set the process in motion.
EU leaders have said they want to conclude the talks within 18 months to allow the terms of the UK's exit to be ratified by the UK Parliament and the European Parliament, as well as approved by the necessary majority of EU states.
When the Brexit vote occurred, many people doubted as to whether or not the UK was actually going to go through with the plan. It looks as though this is certainly going to be the case.
'No Evidence of Collusion' Between Trump Campaign, Russia: Intelligence Committee Chairman

Image: 'No Evidence of Collusion' Between Trump Campaign, Russia: Intelligence Committee ChairmanThe chairman of a US congressional committee on intelligence said Sunday that he has seen "no evidence" that President Donald Trump's campaign colluded with Russia during the runup to the 2016 election.
Based on "everything I have up to this morning -- no evidence of collusion," said US Representative Devin Nunes, head of the House Intelligence Committee, speaking to the Fox News Sunday television program.
He made his remarks one day before FBI director James Comey is due to appear before his panel, facing lawmakers seeking answers about Trump's potential Russia ties and the president's extraordinary accusation of wiretapping by his predecessor.

Nunes added that he agreed with the president's accusation that there are elements inside the intelligence community or FBI leaking information to undercut the Trump presidency.

"It's pretty clear that that's happening," he said.

"There's even been stories written about it in numerous newspapers talking about how they said they left breadcrumbs around to hurt the Trump administration."

But he suggested that many of the leakers may now be gone.

"I think it was largely people maybe who were there, had classified information, who are now no longer there and decided to leak it," he said.
"Clearly to leak Michael Flynn's name talking to the Russian ambassador," Nunes said. "That was clearly designed to hurt Gen. Flynn and the president's national security adviser."

Texas high school opens Muslim prayer room
By Robert Spencer / Jihad Watch

For decades the ACLU and allied groups fought to get Christian prayer out of American public schools. They were successful. But now prayer is coming back into the schools, and as long as it’s Islamic prayer, it seems to be fine with everyone. This does, however, reinforce the principle of Sharia that Muslims have rights […]

More Judicial Tyranny: Maryland Judge May Order Trump to DOUBLE 50,000 Refugee Limit

These activist judges are determined to stop President Trump from protecting Americans. They don’t care how many violent jihadis come in to the United States as “refugees.” They don’t care how many Americans die. This anti-American judicial tyranny has to be stopped.

“More Judicial Tyranny: Maryland Judge May Order Trump to DOUBLE 50,000 Refugee Limit,” by Dan Spencer, RedState, March 17, 2017 (thanks to Patrick):

U.S. District Judge Theodore D. Chuang in federal court in Maryland is considering ordering the federal government to admit all 100,000 so-called refugees into the United States as authorized by former president Barack Hussein Obama despite President Donald J. Trump’s “Executive Order Protecting The Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into The United States” issued on March 6, 2017, to be effective March 16, 2017 (the “March 6 E.O.”), which at Section 6(b) limits the entry of refugees to 50,000:
Sec. 6(b)  Pursuant to section 212(f) of the INA, I hereby proclaim that the entry of more than 50,000 refugees in fiscal year 2017 would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, and thus suspend any entries in excess of that number until such time as I determine that additional entries would be in the national interest
