Obama Regime Tries to SILENCE Show and Station By Craig Andresen

Less than one week ago, Rory Cooper, Director of Communications for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor stated that congress WOULD investigate ANY attempts…bureaucratic attempts…by the Obama administration to “try and intimidate and silence their critics using the bureaucratic mechanisms of the federal government.”

The statement was prompted by reports that the FEC (Federal Elections Commission) had plans to put the pressure on some of the big boys…Matt Drudge and Sean Hannity…but if this regime is going to do it to THOSE guys, they need to test the system first. They need to see how far they can go and maybe, just maybe, the whole FEC thing was a rouse to get people to look in the wrong direction. Another shiny ball dangled by this regime to distract from the real objective.

Even so…they needed a test subject. Get everybody looking out for the big names and while they do…go after the small names. Why? Because there are thousands of bloggers and Conservative talk internet radio hosts out there who command grass roots audiences.

Rory Cooper said that attempts to intimidate critics of this administration are…“gross and abusive violation of their power and the public trust,” and that, “Congress will continue to investigate these abuses.”

Well Congressman Cantor…Here ya go…

Diane Sori and I are proud to be a part of CPR with OUR show, ‘RIGHT SIDE PATRIOTS’ every Wednesday from 2-4pm EST and Saturdays from 11-1pm EST as we bring the same hard hitting style to the air as we both do to our respective blogs exposing the truth behind the curtain of the Obama regime with commentary, humor and occasionally, investigative reporting.

A month ago, on ‘RIGHT SIDE PATRIOTS,’ Diane and I covered our 3 part Benghazi series of articles and while doing so on the air, we were targeted by cyber-attacks.

We knew we were over the target simply because we were taking flack. The articles from our blogs, ‘The National Patriot’ and ‘The Patriot Factor’ went viral and the RIGHT SIDE PATRIOTS show was rebroadcast several times and the audience was big. We made an impact and it was noticed.

From that point on, during each show, the cyber-attacks grew in number and in strength until just over a week ago, during the ‘RIGHT SIDE PATRIOTS’ Saturday show, the attacks nearly knocked us off the air. CPR was able to track and trace the IP addresses responsible for those attacks as they hopscotched across the country and it was clear that the source of them was the U.S. government.

Those attacks were severe, we believe a warning shot across the bow as Diane and I were in the process of publishing yet another investigative piece in our blogs. This time on federal land grabs and, just as we had done with our “Benghazi: The Truth Exposed” series, we were bringing “Government Land Grabs: The Truth Exposed” to the radio show and the government, we believe, knew it.

CPR’s CEO, Michael Collins-Windsor was one of the staff tracing the attacks and those attacks went from trying to knock the station off the air to directly attacking his efforts to track the hits and they WERE enough to take down his personal computer but not before, once again, we knew the source and, once again, the source of the attacks was decidedly the U.S. government.

The hits were being bounced from coast to coast off different buildings and even a farm field in Kansas. We have the coordinates, we have photos of some of the buildings. We knew what they were trying to do…shut us up and shut us down but we pressed on.

Just a couple of days ago, in an article titled, “Telling the TRUTH…A BREACH OF NATIONAL SECURITY???” I outlined what has transpired including personal warnings of a thuggish nature directed at the CEO of CPR Radio and the fact that CPR’s license to stream music had been suspended.

Let me now bring you up to date regarding THAT situation but before I do, I must tell you that the Licensing company and the Executive FROM that company are NOT the problem here. We are dealing with REPUTABLE and honest people at that company and NONE of this is of their doing.

Obama rewards Brunei’s Sharia Sultan with fast-track trade deal

One thing that must be said about Obama: he’s consistent. He has been perfectly consistent throughout his presidency in supporting pro-Sharia Islamic supremacist regimes, and so this comes as no surprise.

What is surprising about it is where this article comes from: Michelangelo Signorile is the Editor-at-large at HuffPost Gay Voices. So now gays are against Sharia? When Pamela Geller and I placed ads highlighting Sharia oppression of gays in San Francisco, the San Francisco City Council, in an unprecedented move, passed a resolution denouncing not that oppression, but our ads. Gay rights activists such as Chris Stedman joined in to excoriate us, knowing they wouldn’t be invited to the good parties anymore if they supported something “right-wing” like opposition to Sharia. And the Huffington Post, of course, has heaped abuse and contempt upon opponents of Sharia for years.

But now somehow the Sultan of Brunei has made it acceptable for gays and Leftists in general to oppose Sharia, just as the abduction of the Nigerian schoolgirls has made it acceptable for Leftists to oppose jihad — at least in that instance. But before all this, where was the only source for news about Sharia and jihad? Places like Jihad Watch and Pamela Geller’s Atlas Shrugs, both roundly condemned for racism, bigotry and Islamophobia for saying the same things the glitterati are saying now.

Boycotts and protests of the famed Beverly Hills Hotel have shined a bright light on the oil-rich nation of Brunei’s recent imposition of Sharia law, a brutal criminal code that now includes amputations and floggings for some offenses and the stoning to death of known gays, lesbians, transgender people and others, as homosexuality and adultery are now considered crimes that should be punished by a torturous execution.

The sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, who implemented Sharia law himself, owns the Dorchester Collection of hotels, which includes the Beverly Hills Hotel, long a favorite of Hollywood stars. This week Jay Leno protested outside the hotel with the Feminist Majority Foundation, which moved its Global Women’s Rights Awards from the hotel.

Gill Action’s Political OutGiving conference, focused on LGBT rights, moved its conference last month. Ellen DeGeneres called for a boycott. Virgin CEO Richard Branson tweeted on Saturday, “No @Virgin employee, nor our family, will stay at Dorchester Hotels until the Sultan abides by basic human rights.”

But for the U.S., a far more abhorrent connection with the sultan than a few hotels is the trade pact with Brunei (and other Pacific nations), the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), which President Obama has been doggedly pursuing since 2009. As noted by Curtis Ellis of the American Jobs Alliance, “on the very day Brunei was phasing in Sharia law, Obama’s chief trade negotiator Michael Froman was on Capitol Hill selling the TransPacific Partnership, which would bind the U.S. to Brunei and give the Islamic Sultanate special economic privileges.”

Labor unions and others are concerned that the pact would harm American workers and exempt foreign companies and governments from environmental standards and allow them to bypass American courts. Nobel prize-wining economist Joseph Stiglitz warns of a “real risk it will benefit the wealthiest sliver of the American and global elite at the expense of everyone else.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts) has expressed concern over the secrecy surrounding the trade agreement, which we only know anything about via leaked documents that have shown how corporations and governments will be able to overrule laws. Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and other groups have warned about the TPP giving privileges not just to Brunei but to Malaysia, which also has vicious laws criminalizing homosexuality, and Vietnam, which has been accused of human rights abuses. Both countries are also among the 12 seeking inclusion in the pact, including New Zealand, Japan and Australia.

A Malaysian AIDS group helped organize a demonstration in February in which protestors dressed as “zombies” at a Kuala Lumpur shopping mall, protesting the impact that the TTP would have on the price of drugs to treat HIV and other diseases. In New Zealand in late March, 15 protests occurred across the country, with thousands of people turning out in Auckland. In the U.S., unions have spoken out, and bipartisan opposition seems strong in Congress, which might forestall giving the president authority on the pact before the midterm elections. But the White House has been adamant about getting this trade deal done. It was the major priority of President Obama’s visit to East Asia two weeks ago.

Right now it will take international pressure and shaming to convince Brunei to reverse itself. It was bad enough that the U.S. reaction to Nigeria’s imposition of harsh punishments for homosexuality earlier this year was too little too late. As the AP reported, international activists noted that the U.S.’s “quiet diplomacy” emboldened President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda to finally move ahead with his country’s own brutal law punishing homosexuality with life in prison, having seen Nigeria get away with its actions relatively unscathed.

On his East Asia trip, President Obama became the first U.S. president since Lyndon Johnson to visit Malaysia, which has laws against homosexuality with sentences that could include corporal punishment such as whippings. Obama mentioned nothing of that and only seemed intent on securing deeper economic ties and getting the trade pact finalized throughout the region. Rewarding Brunei, the first East Asian nation to follow in the footsteps of Taliban-era Afghanistan by stoning gays to death, will send a grotesque message to the world.

Muslims Dump Trash on Temple Mount

These savages do everything they can to show their hatred and contempt for the Jewish people. They are busy trying to obliterate all archaeological evidence of the presence of Jews at the Temple site, and meanwhile showing their “mutual respect” by using the holiest site in Judaism as a dumping ground. Time for the UN to issue another condemnation of Israel.

Muslims claim to consider the Temple Mount a holy site – but they have been caught doing some very unholy things there. From soccer games to picnics to vandalism, Muslims have historically shown little respect for the site.

But a Jewish group that ascended the Mount in recent days observed what may be the most egregious example of Temple Mount desecration yet – the dumping of trash right on the mount, just meters from the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which Muslims claim as their third-holiest site.

The group observed a dump truck about to release its contents, and called police over to intervene. Instead of stopping the truck driver, police filmed the Jewish group, and demanded that they identify themselves. The Jewish group demanded to know the identity of the dumpers, who they said were committing a crime – but to no avail.

Tensions rose and shouting ensued between the police and the Jewish group, while Arabs stood by and observed. Police made no move to stop the Arabs, but began pushing members of the Jewish group off the Mount. Police also refused to identify themselves.

Eventually, police detained members of the Jewish group and ushered them off the Mount.

The Temple Mount is Judaism’s holiest site. It is the location of the two Holy Temples of Jerusalem – the latter of which was destroyed by the Romans in 70CE – and according to some Jewish traditions it is the point from which the creation of the world began.

In a recent Knesset debate, MK Moshe Feiglin demanded that Israel act more aggressively to prevent the destruction of Jewish artifacts on the site by the Jordanian Waqf (Islamic trust) on the Mount. “If you will go up with me to the Mount, I’ll show you how the remnants of Solomon’s Temple and the Temple of the Jews who returned from Babylon are wallowing in ashes,” said Feiglin in the debate.

Feiglin called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to immediately apply Israeli sovereignty over the Temple Mount, and to halt the destruction of antiquities at the site by the Waqf.

“I call on the government of Israel to stop the discrimination and embarrassment of Jews in entering the Mount and on the site,” declared Feiglin. He further called on the government “to allow free access to all Jews to the Temple Mount from every gate, and prayer on the Mount, as required by it being part of the state of Israel, the Jewish state,” which stipulates freedom of worship.

Obamacare Exchanges Price Tag: $4.9 Billion

When the federal health exchanges launched and crashed last fall through Healthcare.gov, half-a-million dollars went to waste as government officials continued to throw money at the problem. At the state level, the numbers are just as bad, if not worse. According to numbers published by POLITICO and put out by the non-partisan Kaiser Family Foundation, failing state exchanges have already cost taxpayers $454 million and in the end will cost as much as $4.9 billion.

Nearly half a billion dollars in federal money has been spent developing four state Obamacare exchanges that are now in shambles — and the final price tag for salvaging them may go sharply higher.

Each of the states — Massachusetts, Oregon, Nevada and Maryland — embraced Obamacare, and each underperformed. All have come under scathing criticism and now face months of uncertainty as they rush to rebuild their systems or transition to the federal exchange.

The $474 million spent by these four states includes the cost that officials have publicly detailed to date. It climbs further if states like Minnesota and Hawaii, which have suffered similarly dysfunctional exchanges, are added.

Their totals are just a fraction of the $4.698 billion that the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation calculates the federal government has approved for states since 2011 to help them determine whether to create their own exchanges and to assist in doing so.

One aspect the POLITICO piece didn't cover is how many Obamacare enrollees have come at this great cost. Lets start with Oregon, where zero people have been enrolled in the system. Forbes has more:

Indeed, all told, federal taxpayers spent $474 million on just four Exchanges that appear destined for the junk heap: Massachusetts, Oregon, Nevada and Maryland. If other states with similarly dysfunctional exchanges (Minnesota and Hawaii) are included, the total would rise by an additional $360 million. That’s $834 million spent in just a half dozen states that collectively enrolled 270,000 people—in excess of $3,000 per enrollee just to get signed up!

Looking back, it would have been much more efficient to cut the 45 million uninsured in this country a check for health insurance but instead, government bureaucrats decided to overhaul the system in the most inefficient, expensive way possible. When President Obama brags about 8 million "enrollees," of whom just 65 percent have actually paid for their plans, it's important to keep in mind just how much those enrollees cost.

The White House's Cover-up of Benghazi

The Obama administration continues to suppress documents that could finally explain why U.S. officials lied to the world that the September 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, occurred as a protest over an American-made anti-Muslim video.

And the families and friends of the four brave Americans murdered there continue to suffer without answers, reasons or justice. Is there not a shred of heart left in Washington?

USA Today explained this past week how the watchdog group Judicial Watch blew the whistle on the White House's withholding of documents and obtained a letter from the U.S. Department of Justice under the Freedom of Information Act. In it, the Justice Department tries to justify its withholding of further Benghazi documents.

The 35 pages' worth of withheld documents was described by Justice trial attorney Robert Prince as including "internal strategy discussions relating to the drafting of an official response letter" from then-U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice to answer a variety of congressional questions about the Benghazi attack.

Just for the record, those documents include, but are not exclusive to, the following, according to USA Today:

--"A seven-page e-mail exchange consisting of 16 messages between State and other administration officials ... on Sept. 27 and Sept. 28, 2012, with an original subject line 'FOX News: US officials knew Libya attack was terrorism within 24 hours, sources confirm.'

--"Originally designated 'sensitive but unclassified,' the document was withheld to protect the formulation of a media strategy with respect to an ongoing sensitive matter under a FOIA exemption that protects the deliberative process, Prince wrote.

--"A one-page e-mail exchange, consisting of three messages, dated Sept. 11, 2012, with the subject line 'UPDATE: Clashes at U.S. consulate in eastern Libyan city (Reuters).'

--"A three-page e-mail exchange between State and other U.S. officials, dated Sept. 28, 2012 and originally designated 'unclassified.' The subject line of the first five messages is 'Statement by the Director of Public Affairs for National Intelligence Shawn Turner on the intelligence related to the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.'"

This withholding of documents comes on the backside of another discovery by Judicial Watch: several emails that exposed Obama aide Ben Rhodes' tutoring Rice on how to play the blame game with the anti-Muslim video on television appearances only five days after the attack.

Moreover, Fox News revealed this past week that documents "show there are differences between Benghazi emails released through the federal courts to ... Judicial Watch and emails released to the House oversight committee as part of its investigation into the attacks. The discrepancies are fueling allegations the administration is holding back documents to Congress."

As far as why the White House continues its suppression of documents, Alec Gerlach, a State Department spokesman, explained that "additional documents are being processed for response to congressional inquiries." The key term there is "processed." Never mind the fact that the "process" has been going on for 20 months.

Even more evasive is State spokeswoman Marie Harf, who explained that documents will be forthcoming "on a rolling basis." That is code for "as they fit the Obama administration's political and selfish agenda."

Take that, CAIR! Florida will become the eighth state to outlaw the use of foreign law in the state’s courts under a bill signed by Gov. Rick Scott. Scott signed the measure (SB 386) on Monday.

 Thank you, BNI Readers,  for your help in sending emails to the lawmakers in Florida and the Governor that resulted in passage of this bill after a 4-year battle.

 

AP (h/t bojwon)  It would prohibit judges from applying from applying foreign laws in cases involving family law, including divorce, alimony, child support and child custody.

 

It would also prevent some judgments from foreign courts to be considered in state courts.

 

The measure does not single out specific religions but critics said the law is intended to target a specific form of law called Shariah that is practiced in courts in some Muslim countries.
