The Taiwan Test Or Something Else

...Remember, true harbingers of war are not always overt and deadly like Hitler's invading of Austria and Poland, and yet such harbingers are happening today and are basically being ignored. Here I present three possibilities for the stated recent events...focusing on the surveillance balloon...and it's all about timing and our response or lack thereof to it.

Possibility number one: While concerns regarding this balloon's unexpected appearance remains of the upmost importance...no matter its final destruction...what mustn't be overlooked is the timing of said appearance in relation to China's largest military buildup in decades as they eye the takeover of Taiwan. Now considered to be a fully independent island nation by some...(on paper that is as Taiwan is not recognized as such by the UN)...Taiwan, while not officially recognized as being fully independent by the U.S., is nevertheless an ally of ours. Officially known as the “Republic of China,” Taiwan lies about 100 miles (161 kilometers) east of the Chinese communist mainland directly across the Strait of Taiwan...with it's out islands even closer...as Chinese leaders continue to deem Taiwan as but a rogue province that must be brought back into mainland China's fold...Read entire article here.

Nikki Haley announces presidential campaign: 'It's time for a new generation of leadership'

Former South Carolina governor and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley announced Tuesday that she is running for president, seeking the Republican nomination for the 2024 election.

In a video message posted on Twitter, Haley touted her record as South Carolina's governor, while looking to the future and the needs of the country.

"It's time for a new generation of leadership," Haley stated.Haley identified numerous threats facing the country, from the "socialist left" to Russia and China, warning that there are those who see the United States as vulnerable.

"They all think we can be bullied, kicked around. You should know this about me, I don't put up with bullies, and when you kick back it hurts them more if you're wearing heels."

Florida Medical Boards Tighten Ban on Transgender Care for Children

Minors in Florida who believe they are transgender and are seeking irreversible “gender-affirming” care will no longer be able to access this kind of treatment, even in clinical trials. 

At a joint meeting between the Florida Board of Medicine and the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine, the two groups decided against doing away with a rule against transgender care for children. And, the boards abolished an exception that would have allowed children to participate in studies conducted by universities to receive non-surgical treatment, according to Jacksonville-based outlet Action News Jax.

In October, Townhall covered how the Florida Board of Medicine voted to draft a rule that would prohibit all minors in the state from receiving transgender care, which includes hormone therapy, puberty blockers and sex reassignment surgery. In November, a joint committee of the two boards voted to finalize a rule banning the procedures with the exception for clinical trials.
