Hillary Defiant on Emails in Press Conference

Fox News' Ed Henry and Clinton jousted verbally for almost 5 minutes at a press conference in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Henry, appearing on "Special Report," downplayed the combativeness of the two, but video on MSNBC showed the former secretary of state was not happy with Henry's continued questioning.

Real Clear Politics described the back-and-forth as "contentious."

Marco Rubio Gets 'Black Lives Matter' Right

I continue to be impressed with the courage and clarity with which Marco Rubio, the conservative young senator from Florida and Republican presidential candidate, takes on the most difficult challenges facing our nation.

I love his pro-life clarity and his uncompromising stand to defund Planned Parenthood. I appreciate the clear logic with which he explains the folly of our nation making deals and concessions with tyrannical regimes in Iran and Cuba, in the naive hope that they will change their ways.

The other day Rubio appeared on Fox and was asked about the Black Lives Matter movement.

His analysis was on target.

The Black Lives Matter movement is fueled in large part by left-wing donors such as billionaire George Soros, whose Open Society Foundation donated $33 million to groups that engaged in Ferguson-related protests.

But the sentiments (which the Black Lives Matter movement taps into and exploits) are very real, as Rubio accurately points out.

This is a "legitimate issue," he said. "It is a fact that in the African-American community around this country, there has been for a number of years now a growing resentment toward how the law enforcement and criminal justice system interacts with the community."

It's "particularly endemic among young African-American males," he continued, "that ... have a much higher chance of interacting with criminal justice than higher education."

Rubio spoke with candor and realism about a personal friend of his -- a professional black male -- who had been stopped "in the last 18 months eight to nine different times" for no reason.

Many blacks will attest to this reality.

Here in my adopted home state of Colorado, orange is the new Animas River thanks to the blithering idiots working under President Obama's Environmental Protection Agency.

It's just the latest man-caused disaster from an out-of-control bureaucracy whose primary mission is not the Earth's preservation, but self-preservation.

As always, the government cover-up compounds the crime -- which is why the agency's promise this week to investigate itself has residents across the Rocky Mountains in stitches. Or tears.

After the EPA and officials and their contract workers accidentally spilled three million gallons of pent-up toxic sludge on August 5 from a defunct mine in San Juan County that hadn't operated since 1923, EPA apparatchiks delayed notifying residents for more than 24 hours. They vastly underestimated the volume and spill rate of gunk. Then, while refusing to release data, EPA head Gina McCarthy flew to the glowing river to fecklessly declare that the water "seems to be restoring itself."

The cleanup costs for the Colorado spill alone are estimated at $30 billion. Small farmers, ranchers and tourist-related businesses will be reeling for years to come -- yet the EPA is simultaneously pushing forward with Draconian ozone regulations (based on cherry-picked junk science) that will punish the state's residents with no discernible health benefits.
