White House: Iran Working on Nuclear-powered Vessels Does Not Violate Our Nuclear DealRussia dominated the headlines last week, but Iran deserved to be on Page One as well. President Hassan Rouhani declared on Tuesday that his country would be working on a nuclear-powered vessel in retaliation of the U.S.'s decision to extend economic sanctions for another 10 years. That, Rouhani claimed, was a "violation" of the nuclear deal.

Did the White House offer an aggressive response? Not so much. In a press briefing, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said he and the administration saw nothing wrong with Iran's knee jerk reaction.

"The announcement from the Iranians today does not run counter to the international agreement to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon," Earnest told reporters.

The State Department downright admitted they "don't know" exactly what Rouhani means with his latest announcement, but if he is planning on creating a marine nuclear propulsion program, it would take decades to accomplish.

If that makes you feel better.

What else does Iran have to do to prove it is not a willing partner for peace? More importantly, how many passes are we going to give them?

Obama’s Pick For The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights Has The Nation’s Largest Police Union Infuriated While Debo Adegbile’s nomination to become Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division failed in 2014, President Obama decided to put him on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, which has the country’s largest police union infuriated. Adegbile was a lawyer with the NAACP that worked to appeal the conviction of Mumia Abu-Jamal, who murdered a Philadelphia police officer in 1981. The Abu-Jamal appeal is what sunk his assistant attorney general nomination. Even with Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) nuking the filibuster rules for presidential appointments, except for those relating to the Supreme Court, every Republican and seven Democrats voted against his nomination 52-47.

Now, The Fraternal Order of Police and The International Union of Police Associations have condemned his latest appointment, which carries a six-year term and does not require Senate confirmation (via Brent Scher/Free Beacon):
The Obama administration announced on Thursday that it was nominating Adegbile for a six-year term on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Unlike its appointment of Adegbile in 2014 to chair the Justice Department Civil Rights Division, this nomination does not require approval from the Senate. […]

Obama: “Almost every country on Earth sees America as stronger” than eight years ago

By Robert Spencer / Jihad Watch

This is false everywhere in the world you look. Does the Democrats’ new all-purpose bogeyman, Russia, think of America as stronger? Hardly. Does the Islamic State, that exists because of Obama’s actions? Do the other forces of global jihad? Does Israel, so often hectored, treated with disrespect, and betrayed by Obama? Does Iran, to which […]

MAINZ, Germany — Do you wish you knew a Jew? If so, you can now rent one.

“We wanted to loosen things up a bit and remove reservations right from the start,” said 32-year old Alexander Rasumny, one of the initiative’s organizers.

Amid the rise of far-right political parties and anti-Semitism across Europe, organizers believe the seminars provide an important chance to overcome prejudice and could serve “as a long-term prevention project.”
