When Hillary Clinton delivered a campaign post-mortem to her major supporters in a telephone conference call late last week, she blamed her loss in the presidential election on FBI Director James Comey. She should have blamed the loss on herself. Her refusal to safeguard state secrets while she was secretary of state and her failure to grasp the nationwide resentment toward government by the forgotten folks in the middle class were far likelier the cause of her defeat than was Comey.

 

Yet it is obvious that law enforcement-based decisions in the past four months were made with an eye on Election Day, and the officials who made them evaded the rule of law.

Here is the back story.

The statutory obligation of the FBI is to gather evidence to aid in the prosecution or prevention of federal crimes or breaches of national security. The process of complying with this obligation necessarily involves making some legal judgments about the relevance, probity and even lawfulness of the gathered evidence. These judgments are sometimes made on the streets in an emergency and sometimes made after consultation and consensus. But the whole purpose of this evidence-gathering and decision-making is to present a package to the Department of Justice, for which the FBI works, for its determination about whether or not to seek a prosecution.

The Democrats already know the cause of their utter electoral humiliation: all those flyover people who had voted for Obama last time were actually racists who demonstrated their racism by not voting for the tired old white lady too.

Far be it for me to help out you terrible Democrat clowns by suggesting that your terrible party has a terrible problem and you might want to figure out how to fix it. You lost. And it’s because you suck.

Now, you and rest of the unshaven she-beasts and spindly femboys could take this opportunity for reflection and introspection following the election instead of retreating to your campus safe spaces for vegan cookies and awkward hugs. You could try to figure out where you went wrong losing so many voters who you used to have sewn up. The idea is to figure out how you might be able to prevent similar results in the future. Some call it a “post-event analysis.” In the Army – for the goatee n’ scarf gang, that’s the one that fights on the ground – we call it an “after action review.” Coroners call it an “autopsy.”

George Soros Allies Mull Judicial Watch-Like Venture to Stymy Donald Trump

Billionaire George Soros and his team of hard-left partisans have reportedly met to discuss the formation of a new organization with a mission of filing legal petitions against the newly seated Donald Trump administration – ostensibly, performing the watchdogging role Judicial Watch fulfilled under President Obama’s two terms.

More to truth, the Soros venture is the liberal world’s partisan answer to Judicial Watch, which proved to be a political annoyance to Obama’s administration for years.

As Politico reported:

“There is … discussion of forming a liberal equivalent to the right’s Judicial Watch, which spent much of the past eight years as a thorn in the Obama administration’s side filing legal petitions under the Freedom of Information Act — and tormented Hillary Clinton with aggressive investigations into her email habits.”

Judicial Watch’s Chris Farrell was quick to respond to the reports.

In a tweet, he wrote: “@JudicalWatch may be imitated, but NEVER duplicated. America’s Watchdog!”

Vox: No, The Electoral College Won’t Give Clinton The Presidency (And It’s Not Going Away Either)

Yes liberals, we hear you: Clinton is winning the plurality of the popular vote, while Donald Trump took the Electoral College handily. It’s not fair (to you). So, we’re all watching with disgust as you take your temper tantrum to the streets, vandalizing buildings, and setting things on fire. Do I empathize? Hey, I know how it felt to lose in 2012, but I never thought, as did my fellow Republicans, to riot in the streets. Sometimes you lose—and sometimes those losses can be shocking, especially when you indulge in ultraliberal sites, like The Huffington Post, which had Clinton’s chances of winning the presidency at over 90 percent. In the end, Trump delivered a deathblow to Clinton, tearing down the famed Blue Wall, clinching Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania for the first time since the Reagan-Bush era. Now, as the Left goes insane over President-elect Donald J. Trump, there’s this rather unrealistic push to get the electors to withhold support for Trump and back Clinton when the official tally is rendered in December. Even left leaning publications, like Vox, are saying that this is pie-in-the sky for a variety of reasons.
