The Electoral College System Is About To Take Another Hit Out West

The Nevada Senate passed a bill that would give the state’s Electoral College votes to the winner of the presidential election's national popular vote, sending the legislation to the desk of Gov. Steve Sisolak (D).
The state Senate passed the measure on a 12-8 vote on Tuesday, CNN reported.
If Sisolak signs the measure into law, Nevada would become the latest state to join the National Popular Vote interstate compact, an agreement among a number of states to give their Electoral College votes to whichever presidential candidate wins the popular vote.

The total is currently at 189, and Nevada’s six electoral votes would boost the number to 195…

There is no limit to the depravity of Rep. Ilhan Omar. It is
disgusting that Omar would have the audacity to lecture and attack (on
the House floor) conservative people of faith for their pro-life views
on abortion.
“I rise today to defy the horrifying attacks happening against women’s reproductive rights all across this country,” Omar began. “Religious fundamentalists are currently trying to manipulate state laws in order to impose their beliefs on an entire society, all with complete disregard for voices and the rights of American women.”
When has Omar ever condemned FGM, gender apartheid, and the subjugation of women that is so prevalent in much of the Muslim world including her native Somalia? The answer is never. Omar is a vile fraud, and it is appalling that the filth expressed by Omar has not received significant condemnation.

Recently I wrote an article regarding abortion titled, A Heartbeat and a Ruling...Planned Parenthood Ain't Happy at All...and this article followed two previous abortion articles I'd written, Remove Northam...But Not For A 35-Year Old Photo and New York's Descent Into Hell. These three articles addressed not only abortion in general but reiterated my support of what's called the “Heartbeat Law”...in fact I've been saying such a law was needed in all 50 states for well over a decade. And while some on the left claim this law was solely “designed” to give the Supreme Court an opportunity to overturn “Roe v. Wade” nothing could be further from the truth as precedents regarding abortion has already been set, and the newly seated conservative justices have stated they will not overturn precedents.

why then am I writing yet another article on abortion when, as stated,
I support the “Heartbeat
Law”
as well as supporting the justices alluding that they will not overturn
“Roe v.
Wade”...because
the “Heartbeat
Law” as
written in certain states...Alabama (who effectively banned abortion altogether), Georgia, Ohio, and Missouri for example...I
believe...have crossed a Constitutional as well as a morally wrong
line in denying a woman an abortion in the case of rape or incest.
