The truth...the whole truth...and NOTHING but the truth...

This past weekend I did what President Obama refused to do during his recent trip to Texas—I visited the U.S-Mexico border.

I knew that the border crisis was serious, but nothing could have prepared me for just how bad this situation truly is.

The results of the Obama administration’s lawlessness when it comes to enforcing existing immigration laws were magnified in the Rio Grande Valley, where Congressman Steve King and I visited a number of facilities and met with local, state, and federal officials.

What we saw was people processing, not border security.

Americans would be shocked to learn that virtually no one is stopped before gaining entrance. When a foreign national illegally enters the United States, they are taken to a processing facility, where it is determined whether or not they get to stay in the country.

While the popular media narrative has been to focus on the children who came here alone, it is only a small fraction of the growing problem along the southern border.

My heart breaks for the unaccompanied children, but officials told us that 80 percent of the people entering the country illegally are not women and children—they are males over the age of 14.

It is this latter group that is the source of much of the incoming violence, particularly with their increasing involvement in drug cartels and transnational gangs such as MS-13. These organizations profit from exploiting innocent people desperate for a better life into paying thousands of dollars to be transported into the United States.

MS-13 is a brutal international gang with more than 50,000 members—with thousands of members throughout the United States. This ugly and dangerous business has fueled violence on both sides of the border.

By failing to secure our border, the United States government has enabled and empowered a criminal enterprise made of drug cartels and human traffickers that spans our continent.

Enforcement of our border is so lax that I even witnessed coyotes smuggling an illegal alien in broad daylight near the banks of the Rio Grande in Roma, Texas.

The problem rests not with Border Patrol, but with the politicians and administration officials that crafted these policies. Border Patrol and the local law enforcement officials we met with are dedicated individuals who put their lives on the line, but their hands are tied. In fact, the majority of the local officials we met with said that this crisis is the consequence of open border policies.

Solving the problem will require the political will to secure our border.

First, Congress must put an end to the President’s policy of Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which he unilateral instituted in 2012. DACA is the root cause of why a surge of illegal immigrants are coming into the country expecting amnesty from President Obama. Since his June 15, 2012 memo, the amount of unaccompanied children apprehensions from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras have increased from 15,000 in 2011 to nearly 60,000 in FY 2014.

Second, we must complete the fence along America’s southern border to prevent illegal entry onto United States soil. In 2006, Congress passed a bill that authorized and completely funded 700 miles of fence. Eight years later, it remains unfinished and people are simply walking across the border. If there were a fence in Roma, Texas, the illegal crossing I witnessed would not have been possible.

Third, we need to speed up the deportation process and put an end to prosecutorial discretion policies.

While legal immigration and refugee petitions remain enormously onerous, our current system benefits illegal immigration. The current policy of reunification instead of orderly and humane deportation only furthers the border crisis.

Finally, agreements on foreign aid to Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras should be reexamined or frozen entirely until these countries cooperate with the United States and do their part in preventing the flow of illegal immigrants through their country and into ours. Remittance payments to these countries should also be taxed at a rate high enough to command the attention of their governments.

The United States is proudly a nation of immigrants that welcomes with open arms more legal immigrants than the entire world combined. But they must come through the legal channels. It’s time that we start sending a message that the rule of law matters and illegal behavior will not be rewarded.
The lofty motto of the Environmental Protection Agency is "protecting people and the environment." In practice, however, EPA bureaucrats faithfully protect their own people and preserve the government's cesspool of manipulation, cover-ups and cronyism.

Just last week, Mark Levin and his vigilant Landmark Legal Foundation went to court to ask federal district judge Royce Lamberth to sanction the EPA "for destroying or failing to preserve emails and text messages that may have helped document suspected agency efforts to influence the 2012 presidential election." The motion is part of a larger Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit to force EPA to release emails and related records from former EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson and others "who may have delayed the release dates for hot-button environmental regulations until after the Nov. 6, 2012, presidential election."

Thanks to Levin and Landmark, Jackson and other EPA officials admitted in depositions that they used personal, nongovernmental email accounts to hide communications about official EPA business sent and received on their government-issued BlackBerries and smart phones. The agency has continued to drag its feet for two years in response to Landmark's FOIA requests.

Levin minced no words: "The EPA is a toxic waste dump for lawlessness and disdain for the Constitution." Not to mention disdain for the public's right to know. As Levin added: "When any federal agency receives a FOIA request, the statute says it must preserve every significant repository of records, both paper and electronic, that may contain materials that could be responsive to that request."

The agency is legally obliged to notify all involved in the suit to preserve everything in their possession that could be discoverable in the litigation. But the feds have bent over backward to delay and deny. "(T)he people at the EPA, from the administrator on down, think they're above the law, that no one has the right to question what or how they do their jobs," Levin blasted. "Well, they're wrong.

The laws apply to everyone, even federal bureaucrats."

That's a bedrock principle the EPA has defied over and over again. As I first reported 13 corruption-stained years ago in 2001, former EPA head Carol Browner oversaw the destruction of her computer files on her last day in office under the Clinton administration -- in clear violation of a judge's order requiring the agency to preserve its records. Browner ordered a computer technician: "I would like my files deleted. I want you to delete my files." In 2003, the agency was held in contempt and fined more than $300,000 in connection with another email destruction incident under Browner's watch.

It was Levin's Landmark Legal Foundation -- upheld by Judge Lamberth -- that held the corruptocrats accountable then, as they are now.

As President Obama's energy czar, Browner went on to bully auto execs "to put nothing in writing, ever" regarding secret negotiations she orchestrated on a deal to increase federal Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards. She was also singled out by Obama's own independent oil-spill commission for repeatedly misrepresenting scientists' findings and doctoring data to justify the administration's draconian drilling moratorium.

Browner previously had been caught by a congressional subcommittee using taxpayer funds to create and send out illegal lobbying material to more than 100 left-wing environmental organizations. She abused her office to orchestrate a political campaign by liberal groups, who turned around and attacked Republican lawmakers for supporting regulatory reform.

The names may change, but the politicized rot stays the same. The GOP staff of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee issued a detailed report this week on the secretive "Billionaire's Club" behind EPA. The analysis exposed how a massive network of left-wing foundations, activists and wealthy donors exploits IRS-approved "charitable" status and tax-deductible donations to lobby illegally on behalf of the EPA and operate a "green revolving door" between government and far-left groups.

Among the key players: the Environmental Grantmakers Association, which coordinates green grants and refuses to divulge its membership list to Congress, and Democracy Alliance, the dark-money outfit led by Philip Gara LaMarche that does not disclose its members or donor-recipients.

"These entities propagate the false notion that they are independent citizen-funded groups working altruistically," according to the report. "In reality, they work in tandem with wealthy donors to maximize the value of the donors' tax-deductible donations and leverage their combined resources to influence elections and policy outcomes, with a focus on the EPA."

Saving the planet? Ha. The leftist-controlled Environmental Corruption Agency is only in business to serve its pals and subvert its political enemies, while endangering resource security and sabotaging the deliberative process. Real environmental protection starts with draining this fetid swamp.

Netanyahu: “We are determined to complete the mission with or without a ceasefire”

/ Jihad Watch

obama-netanyahu2“Until now, we have destroyed dozens of terror tunnels and we are determined to complete the mission with or without a ceasefire. I will not agree to any proposal that does not allow for this.” That is a tacit acknowledgment that there have been proposals that do not allow for this. Now, where might they have come from?

“Netanyahu Vows: We Won’t Stop Until the Job is Done,” Arutz Sheva, July 31, 2014:
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu opened a special security cabinet session Thursday morning to address the IDF’s ongoing Operation Protective Edge.
“The IDF will continue to operate in the Gaza Strip with full strength” until the job is done, the Prime Minister said – and not before.
In particular, Netanyahu said that IDF forces had succeeded in destroying dozens of “terror tunnels” dug by Hamas into Israel, noting that the terrorist group was likely planning to kidnap Israeli soldiers and civilians.
He said that he was confident that the IDF could shut down Hamas’s tunnel network and emphasized that even were a ceasefire to be reached Israel would continue to destroy the tunnels.
“Until now, we have destroyed dozens of terror tunnels and we are determined to complete the mission with or without a ceasefire. I will not agree to any proposal that does not allow for this.”
The prime minister claimed Hamas had suffered serious damage in the fighting, with hundreds of fighters killed and hundreds more military positions, rocket launchers and weapons stockpiles destroyed. Several senior Hamas commanders have also been killed or captured.
The current military operation is “only the first phase in the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip,” Netanyahu added, saying that he had communicated that message clearly to American, European and other international leaders.
He also praised the soldiers of the IDF, as well as Chief of Staff Benny Gantz and Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon for their “extraordinary” efforts during the operation, and assured the Israeli public that the government was working “day and night” to secure the citizens of Israel.
“We have a plan and we are working in accordance with it,” he said.
For its part, Netanyahu appealed to the Israeli public to maintain national unity. That unity, he said “allows us to conduct the campaign in a balanced and responsible way.
Unity gives our soldiers strength,” warning extremists “on both sides” not to sabotage it.
He went on to criticize ministers who had attacked the government’s conduct of the operation, saying that “government ministers should be setting a personal example to the entire nation” by unconditionally standing behind the war effort.
“The more united we are, the stronger we are.”

Obama Attacks Israel for “Indefensible” Deaths

Pamela Geller / Atlas Shrugs

It’s as if Obama is laying in wait — waiting for a rocket gone wrong, an op gone bad, something, anything, to attack the Jews with.

Obama’s attacks on Israel are “indefensible.”

How many deaths has this monster caused in Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq?

Everybody knows that Israel is turning itself inside out to avoid civilian deaths — a civilian population that elected Hamas, no less.

This is war. War is hell. Things happen. A perfect war — is that the standard Israel is supposed to adhere to? And what is that, anyway?

Indefensible is UN schools stockpiling rockets.

Indefensible is Hamas setting up bases in hospitals.

Indefensible is Hamas beating civilians trying to leave their homes after the IDF warns them.

Indefensible is the terror tunnels. Indefensible is the 50 million Obama just sent to Hamas.

Indefensible is raining rockets on population centers.

Indefensible is storing missiles in mosques.

Indefensible is this President.
White House criticizes Israel for ‘indefensible’ deaths at UN school
By Amie Parnes and Kristina Wong, The Hill, July 31, 2014
The White House on Thursday pointed the finger at Israel for the shelling of a United Nations school in Gaza, calling the incident “totally unacceptable and totally indefensible.”
White House press secretary Josh Earnest said at this point “there’s not a lot of doubt” that the school was hit by Israeli artillery.
“All evidence...
ISRAEL’s new drone technology takes out 40 mosques (aka rocket storage centers) in Gaza in one night

Bare Naked Islam

The Israeli Air Force bombed 40 mosques in Gaza Tuesday night, July 30, in the most extensive operation against Hamas’ religious institutions-cum-military bases so far. In total, at least 50 mosques have been blown up along with their stockpiles of rockets and arms caches. AWESOME!

Israeli onslaught methodically shrinks Gaza by 40%DEBKA  These concentrated air strikes on rocket arsenals are as integral to Operation Protective Edge as the ground work in destroying tunnels. They have been stepped up in advance of the preparations launched by the government on Wednesday for the possible termination of the IDF ground operation in the Gaza Strip and the withdrawal of troops.

DEBKAfile‘s sources say that the order to end the ground operation in Gaza would not mean that the war is over. There are no illusions about the Palestinian extremist groups laying down their arms. In practical terms, therefore, Israeli troops will regroup and spread out along the border as a barrier against future Hamas attempts to keep up its terror offensive by means of cross-border commando raids using undiscovered tunnels and firing rockets and mortars into Israel.

BttDZSvCYAAYEwX.jpg-largeIsrael’s war planners believe the IDF ranged outside the Gaza border is capable of repelling these assaults by means of tank and artillery fire and air force drones. The confrontation with Hamas will thus morph into an ongoing war of attrition.

This past week has also seen the first deployment in action of the Air Force’s brand new Hermes 900 UAV, an unmanned aircraft also known as the Star. Never before used in wartime operations, the drone’s debut was rushed forward because of its useful properties: The aircraft can fly nonstop for 30 hours at an altitude of 30,000 feet, the while conducting surveillance, gathering intelligence and relaying communications to and from military personnel in the field.

Hermes_900_uasStar carries 300 kg of attack weaponry. Its cockpit and operating systems are superior to previous models, enabling commander, operator and crew to work together seamlessly. It has been functioning almost nonstop in the Gaza operation with great success.

Manufactured by Elbit Systems, the drone had until this week only flown test flights and was not scheduled to become operational until 2015. But Operation Protective Edge called for an upgraded version of the Air Force’s Hermes 450 – a UAV that flies similar missions — and so the 900 was fast-tracked into the fleet.

As it is relatively untested in battle, the Star is only being used for certain types of missions. When the current war ends, the air force will resume further study of its performance in emergency situations and diverse altitudes and weather conditions.

The Ebola Scaremongers

The Ebola Scaremongers
THINKSTOCK
Fear is one of the strongest of human emotions. It’s the go-to emotion when the elites want to exert more control or simply to distract your attention.

America is experiencing a mass invasion across the southern border. More than two-thirds of Americans recognize it for what it is: A deliberate attack on the American system orchestrated by President Barack Obama at the behest of the global elite. The globalists have set the world on fire. Gaza, Iraq, Syria, Libya and Iraq are in flames. A lawless President mocks the American people as he “fundamentally transforms” the country. A lawless Congress provides him cover.
Americans are finally showing signs of an awakening. More are coming out of their slumber. Obama’s approval numbers are negative 13.5, according to Real Clear Politics. Congress’ is much worse.

The people recognize their “elected politicians” don’t have their best interests at heart. They serve the money gods and nothing else – the people be damned.

The system is collapsing. The Internet has provided a forum for the truth. The people see past the lies of the elites and their propaganda machine. Pockets of resistance are growing. The Bundy Ranch standoff was a flashpoint.

Ebola! Watch the left hand. Ignore the right.

Alan Grayson, the Marxist Congressman from Florida, has taken on the role of the illusionist. Close the borders, he says. But not the U.S. borders, where all manner of third world diseases, criminals, violent gang members and socialist indoctrinated people are entering the country to be spread far and wide by the criminal President and his criminal regime who are working to transform America into a Third-World backwater.

No. Leave the U.S. borders open. Never mind the people’s wishes. It’s the borders of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone that should be closed.

Ebola! Its only method of human-to-human transmission is direct exposure (through broken skin or mucous membranes) with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected people, or contact with environments contaminated with such fluids.

In the entire recorded history of the world there have been 841 confirmed cases and 456 confirmed deaths from Ebola, according to the World Health Organization. To put that in context, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention claims (falsely) that the flu kills 36,000 Americans annually.

WHO claims seasonal flu kills 250,000-500,000 worldwide each year.

Who (or WHO?) has called for a border to be closed for the flu?

By exploiting people’s fear over the mysterious Ebola virus, the elites are seeking to regain control and distract your attention. Crisis governing leads to more control. It’s an old play from an old book.

Don’t fall for it.

Brennan Apologizes For CIA Monitoring of Senate Computers

NEWSMAX

Image: Brennan Apologizes For CIA Monitoring of Senate ComputersCIA Director John Brennan apologized to Senate intelligence committee leaders after his inspector general found that CIA employees acted improperly when the CIA searched Senate computers earlier this year.

Agency spokesman Dean Boyd said in an email to The Associated Press on Thursday that Brennan has convened an accountability board that will investigate the conduct of the CIA officers and discipline them, if need be.

The Justice Department has so far declined to pursue criminal charges against the employees, who searched the computers for information gathered in the course of a Senate investigation into the CIA's interrogation techniques.

The CIA inspector general concluded "that some CIA employees acted in a manner inconsistent with the common understanding reached between" the committee and the CIA in 2009 regarding access to a shared classified computer network, Boyd said.

Brennan informed Senate intelligence committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein and Sen. Saxby Chambliss, the senior Republican on the committee, "and apologized to them for such actions by CIA officers as described in the (inspector general's) report," Boyd said.

The development was the subject of wildly different characterizations by sources on either side of the dispute, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to go beyond official statements.

Senate aides familiar with the matter say the CIA used classified "hacking tools" and created a fake user account in an effort to retrieve documents the CIA believed the Senate staffers had improperly accessed.

A U.S. official familiar with the inspector general report disputed that hacking tools were used, and said that there was no malicious intent behind the CIA actions, but simply an effort to account for documents believed to have been improperly accessed.

Op-ed:
Executive Overreach Comes Back to Haunt
By: Diane Sori

“This isn’t about Republicans and Democrats, it’s about defending the Constitution that we swore an oath to uphold and acting decisively when it might be compromised.”
- Speaker of the House John Boehner

"The main vote that they have scheduled for today is whether or not they decide to sue me for doing my job." - Barack HUSSEIN Obama

For doing his job...his job has been the destruction of America from within...and yeah...he does need to be sued for that.

So while the House did NOTHING of substance when Brian Terry was killed because of 'Fast and Furious'...and does NOTHING but investigate the obvious with one continuing investigation after another in regards to Benghazi...and with the IRS scandal still ongoing...the House is finally doing something to call this president to task...although even with this it's still NOT enough.

Beyond angry about Obama’s decision to delay or change key deadlines and provisions in his infamous 'anything but affordable' health care act without consulting Congress, along with his threat to use his 'pen and his phone' to grant legal status...as in amnesty...to the thousands of children who are entering our country ILLEGALLY...now in a first of its kind legal challenge by a chamber of Congress against a sitting president, Boehner and crew finally got a "smidgeon" of guts to take this man on.

In a 225 to 201 vote that came down mostly along party lines...with five RINOS voting 'NO' (Paul Broun of Maryland, Scott Garrett of New Jersey, Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Steve Stockman of Texas, and Walter Jones of North Carolina)...Wednesday the House passed a resolution (http://docs.house.gov/meetings/RU/RU00/20140729/102596/BILLS-113HRes676rh.pdf) authorizing Boehner to file suit in federal court on behalf of the full body “to seek appropriate relief” for Obama’s failure to enforce a provision of ObamaCare that would penalize businesses with 50 or more employees who do NOT offer basic health insurance to those employees...simply Obama’s unilateral decision to issue waivers for the 'employer mandate.'

And with Obama's choosing to waive the fines for 2014 and then expanding said waiver to extend through 2015 and 2016, the grounds Republicans needed to sue Obama for the unconstitutional executive overreach of his authority, and for, according to Boehner, his failure "to take care that the laws be faithfully executed," were now set in motion.

Finally standing on the side of 'We the People' against the man who envisions himself NOT president but a king who can pick and choose what laws he will respect and enforce and what laws he will just throw by the wayside, even with this vote Boehner still insists there are "no plans" to pursue impeachment. Saying all this talk of impeachment is NOTHING but "a scan started by Democrats at the White House." Boehner as well as we know that if this lawsuit is successful it could very well be the foundation for building a long overdue impeachment case against this most traitorous of presidents. And if in this November’s mid-term election Republicans gain control of the Senate...and they need a net gain of six seats to do so...you just know a call for impeachment will indeed go forward.

In fact, the liberal's queen bee Nancy Pelosi said she could see NO other reason for this vindictive vote other than it being a precursor for impeachment. “This is about the road to impeachment. And if it is not, the Speaker has to say one simple sentence: ‘Impeachment is off the table,’ Pelosi croaked.

And so far Boehner has NOT said those words...and hopefully he NEVER will.

And of course the Democrats joined in and started whining that this vote was NOTHING but election-year politics...grandstanding if you will...and yet another Republican ploy to try to repeal ObamaCare as they continue to defend what even they know to be Obama’s misuse of his executive powers.

In this lawsuit, which Boehner said was designed to help uphold the constitutional system of checks and balances, this vote sets precedence in that NEVER before has the House or Senate tried to challenge a sitting president’s authority in the courts. But remember, the House or a House committee can indeed sue an executive agency or White House officials if they need to seek documents or testimony (as they did when the Senate Watergate Committee sued President Nixon to get the Watergate tapes), because the House does have the authority to investigate government overreaches and Constitutional breeches.

But even if Republicans win in court...and it will be hard for them to do so because of the federal courts’ rules requiring a plaintiff to show actual harm...to show 'standing'...which is required to sue in federal court and is required for the court to adjudicate the merits of a case...only then will the judges hear Boehner's case.

However, if the court finds the plaintiff does NOT have 'standing' they will dismiss the case without ruling on it. But even if they do hear this particular case, a serious question remains...a question of is it right to give the federal courts the authority to resolve disputes between the different branches of government...branches that should already be held in check as per the Constitution...and it might allow the power of the presidency to be weakened while the power of Congress, and especially the courts, would be strengthened. But even with this, hopefully the judges will see Obama’s overreach as being so grievous that they just might decide to take the case in order to 're-establish harmony' if you will, between the two other branches of government that have also been affected by Obama's overstepping of his bounds of power.

And what of Obama's response to all this...to the idea of the courts stepping in to ensure the laws of our land are properly enforced...to ensure that he follow and honor the Constitution...I think his very own words say it all...and the words said were spoken in his best 'ethnic' accent that only comes out when he's playing...when he's pandering'...to 'certain' crowds... "Republicans needed to 'stop just hatin’ all the time.”

And so the man who has brought hate to levels NOT seen in this country for years has the audacity to call Republicans haters...the man who claims he "has the right" to take action on his own when Congress will NOT do his bidding...the man who sides with America's enemies every chance he gets...that most miserable excuse of a man...of a president...calls Republicans 'haters' simply because they do NOT back his socialist agenda.

But I don't back his socialist agenda either, so I guess in Obama's eyes I must be a 'hater' too...sadly such is life in today's Obamaland.
