Boviating trator and nothing more...

Instead of the GOP focusing all its energy on infighting over the so-called "tactical" decision of whether to defund Obamacare, how about remembering who the real enemies of freedom are and directing its energies toward the Democrats, who are propping up this monster?

It is painful to witness the expenditure of so much negative energy among people who all say they oppose the law. This law is so bad and so unpopular and its negative consequences so apparent that we would have to be complete incompetents not to be able to make this case to the American people, the majority of whom already agree.

Why not rip a page right out of President Obama's political playbook and go directly to the people? It obviously works for Obama, even though he doesn't have the facts or history on his side; there has never been such a radical disconnect between a president's miserable record and his approval ratings.

He's just doing what he's done all his adult life: agitating and community organizing. He's on a never-ending campaign, because that is all he knows. He knows nothing about governing and, truth be told, doesn't want to bother with it, provided he can order his subordinates to implement his big strokes.

This time, he's campaigning to resurrect and salvage the most atrocious policy albatross ever foisted on the free American people by an arrogant, out-of-touch federal government that has come to believe it has the right to force us to do whatever it believes is good for us, collectively, individuality and liberty be damned.

People register disgust and dismay at Obama's cynically self-degrading appearance on Jay Leno's show, but Obama's laughing all the way to the political bank -- again. He makes a mockery of the serious policies he pretended to discuss there and a greater mockery of the media by offering softball answers to softball questions from an entertainer while continuing to refuse to submit himself to any real exchange with the media in a bona fide news conference.

Can you believe this cabal of fawning mainstream media sycophants still willing to serve as Obama's doormats and his political cover?

But I digress.

Everyone, from Howard Dean to Max Baucus to Marco Rubio to John Boehner, knows this horrific law is a multiple independently targeted re-entry vehicle -- a nuclear ballistic missile with multiple warheads aimed at the American health care system, American liberties and America's fiscal integrity. Everyone knows this law cannot work, except to wreak havoc on everything and everyone it promises to improve.

Do you think that might be enough ammunition for the Republican Party to get its act together and call a cease-fire on one another and launch a united campaign with unprecedented focus and vigor to take out Obamacare's missile payload before it fully hits the U.S. mainland?

Are we children here, afraid of ghosts and goblins -- and our shadows? Are we so intimidated by this charlatan of a president that we lack the courage to stand up to him on an issue on which the public is on our side?

Why are so many on our side willing to throw in the towel and surrender on this law? Every day, Congress changes laws it purportedly made permanent the year before. It changes the tax laws as often as its members brush their teeth.

Or are they instead resigned to the fatalistic notion that our system has become so unworkable -- or that they are so politically impotent and lethargic -- that they prefer to roll over and accept the imposition of this nuclear nightmare and then wait to clean up the fallout after the bombs have dropped? Really?

We have the political equivalent of the Strategic Defense Initiative at our disposal because the American people are behind us, but we're going to stand down for fear that some people might think of us as big bad meanies if we were to finally get off our rear ends and take perfectly constitutional steps to end this menace?

I come from the school that teaches that if you want something done, you do it. Your default position isn't to wring your hands and expend all your creative energy figuring out why you can't get something done -- especially something of such paramount importance to the preservation of our republic.

Come on, my friends in the GOP establishment. Just once, quit using your juice to tell us how impractical and extreme we are and how you are just as conservative as we are but more prudent and pragmatic. It is not pragmatic to sit on your hands and idly watch the republic be assaulted on this level and do nothing but wait until that fictional time in the future when the law will implode on itself.

That's laughably ridiculous. It's not going to happen. Now is the time to shoot this missile down -- as it has entered our atmosphere and before it detonates in our major cities and our countryside.

If we can't draw a line in the sand on an issue this important and convince the American people that an already unpopular bill must be stopped in its tracks -- while we watch as a failed president convinces the American people that his policies aren't responsible for the misery he's causing -- then how can we say we deserve to carry the banner of liberty?

No more excuses. If you don't have the stomach for it, please get out of the way and let those who do press forward; then thank them later.

Gosh, we just keep getting it wrong folks.

It seems that Obama meant something entirely different when he claimed that he killed bin Laden and saved Detroit.

Because, you know, like a lot of problems Obama has tried to tackle, the result has been the exact opposite of what we’ve been told.

In fact, Obama killed Detroit and saved Al Qaeda.

And it seems: he meant to do that, in the words of the immortal of poet of the Big Eighties, Pee Wee Herman.

But what can you expect from a guy who thinks the United States has 57 states, that port of Savannah resides on the Gulf of Mexico and China provides a model economy.

As community organizer, it seems, Obama rarely travelled outside of, say, West 26th Street and East 79th street in Chicago, at least mentally, politically and philosophically.

I’ll close Gitmo.
We don’t spy on Americans.
The economy is finally gaining traction.
Obamacare will reduce the deficit.
The new Egyptian government is democratic.
Welcome to Recovery Summer.
Green jobs are important to stimulate the economy.
We are not arming Al Qaeda.
Benghazi was a long time ago.
There is no Soviet domination of Eastern Europe.
There is no sexual relationship.

I won’t bring up the point that the media rarely, if ever, calls Obama out on his faux pas… whoops, there I pointed it out and I didn’t mean to.

Ok, ok, I meant to do that.

Because there is a larger point here:  You cannot treat the truth like it’s flexible or pliable or moldable to fit your circumstances without an awful lot of stretching that goes into it.

Just ask Nancy Pelosi’s cosmetic surgeon. You can stretch around the edges as much as you want, but that only goes so far.

Right now the Democrats, as represented by Obama, are mostly stretch, and no substance. Not that the Republicans offer much more of an alternative.

If ever an epoch needed cosmetic surgery it would have to be the New Gilded Age of Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama. The differences between the various administrations, consists in that of volume rather than in that of substance.

So both sides just keep stretching.

And now, more than ever before, we need to see real substantive differences between the parties.

Alternating between operating systems Government 1.0 and Government 2.0 (Lite) is no way to run a country.

Never before in human history has so much money gone a’wastin’ by so few administrations.

“The bottom line is we’re not broke, there’s plenty of money, it’s just the government doesn’t have it,” says Rep Keith Ellison, ambassador from the Democratic People’s Republic of Minneapolis.

And in a way, he’s right.

It’s almost inconceivable to me that with all the money that the federal government has made available to public and private ventures in Michigan, especially with the money made available to the auto companies, that the city of Detroit, as a government entity, would be see a negligible benefit from it.

So, the question that I have is this: Where did this money go?

Auto companies most certainly are reaping the benefit from that money. The auto union is too.

The American people, understandably, took on face value the Biden-Obama claim that Detroit was saved because they paid the bill.

“Hey honey,” says a man over coffee in Overland Park, Kansas while reading the paper. “Didn’t we pay that ‘Saving Detroit’ bill this month?”

He did in fact pay it; and so did you, and so did I.

I have the receipts pasted to my refrigerator under a large magnet from Key West that says “Welcome to Margaritaville. Now, Pass the Salt.”

I remember paying that bill, and I bet you do too.

There’s only one explanation, then for the missing money: Al Qaeda must have stolen it.

And they meant to do that.

And so, it seems, did Obama.
C.O.N.G.R.E.S.S...hypocrisy personified
By: Diane Sori

In a decision by the Office of Personnel Management and pushed for and Ok’d by the ‘anointed one’ himself, the 535 members of the Senate and House along with thousands of government agency staff will NOT lose the federal contribution toward their health insurance they currently receive.

Oh the hypocrisy of it all as what’s good for the goose (‘We the People’) is most assuredly NOT good for the gander (the do-nothings in Congress).

When Congress passed the dreaded ObamaCare in 2010…passing it BEFORE they even read it…there was an amendment requiring that said lawmakers and their staff buy health insurance through the online exchanges that the law had created (just like we have to). This would mean they would lose the coverage they had under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program. But when they realized what they lost, and that the ObamaCare bill they passed contained NO language that allowed their federal contributions to continue as before, they started whining and stamping their feet like little children. And of course they would for it suddenly hit them that their original policies had the government covering about 75% of their healthcare premium costs, and that had now gone bye-bye.

In other words the ‘fat cats’ in Congress, those who make $174,000+ per year, before had to only pay 25% on their own…the government picked up the rest…and by hook or crook they were going to make sure it stayed that way. And of course Obama went to bat for them on this as he needs them happy and content for he can only play the race card to keep them in line for only so long.

Something is very, very wrong with this picture I’d say. NO wonder all stops…all sorts of vile underhanded tactics are pulled out of the proverbial hat to win a Congressional seat…the benefits are just too good…too good for those who sit back and do NOTHING of substance.

And wouldn’t it be nice if ‘We the People’ were granted the same relief from rising health insurance costs that the members of Congress have granted themselves (better yet repeal the whole damn thing and be done with it for everyone)...and shouldn’t those in Congress…those who were elected to work for ‘We the People’ NOT for their own self-interests…shouldn't they have to live under and abide by the same laws we do. Apparently this isn’t so, and this is but one reason why ‘We the People’ despise Congress like we do.

And beyond the opting out of certain areas of ObamaCare there are other provisions in some other federal laws that Congress is exempt from that we just regular American citizens are NOT…such as…
  • The Freedom of Information Act
  • Investigatory subpoenas to obtain information for safety and health probes
  • Protections against retaliation for whistleblowers
  • Having to post notices of worker rights in offices
  • Prosecution for retaliating against employees who report safety and health hazards
  • Having to train employees about workplace rights and legal remedies
  • Record-keeping requirements for workplace injuries and illnesses
And while our Founding Fathers worried that presidents might try to bully House or Senate members by threatening to arrest them on made-up charges (too bad they didn’t account for a possibility like Barack HUSSEIN Obama and his so-called phony scandals), they decided to preserve the separation of executive and legislative powers and make sure the executive branch did not abuse its own authority to try to influence votes in Congress. So they decided that by giving those elected to office a certain amount of immunity in specific areas they hoped to assure that our government ran smoothly.

This was expressed in Article 1, Section 6 which states, “They (Congress) shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.”

But those exemptions and those alone should be the only ones made because it’s in our Constitution. All others, and I mean ALL other exemptions of any kind awarded Congress, especially the newest one concerning ObamaCare (which Congress should have read BEFORE they voted on it in the middle of the night), should be negated immediately as being counterproductive to NOT only the law of our land as laid down in the Constitution, but also to the will and well-being of ‘We the People’ as well.
