She preceded Bush on stage and used the moment to seize his campaign slogan, "Right to Rise," and give it her own spin to attack the governor before he could speak.
According to Clinton, "I don't think you can credibly say everyone has a right to rise and then say you're for ... repealing Obamacare. People can't rise if they can't afford health care. They can't rise if the minimum wage is too low to live on. They can't rise if their governor makes it harder for them to get a college education. And you cannot seriously talk about the right to rise and support laws that deny the right to vote."
She topped it all off by saying, "The opportunity gap that America is facing is not just about economic inequality, it is about racial inequality."
The AFL-CIO publishes an annual report called Executive PayWatch. According to the most recent report, in 2014 the average pay for a CEO at a Standard & Poor's 500 company was $13.5 million. At the same time, average take-home pay of nonsupervisory workers was $36,134. So on average, per the AFL-CIO, CEO earnings were 373 times greater than worker income.
Anyone can email companies and the Securities Exchange Commission through the AFL-CIO website to express their outrage at this presumed unfairness.
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton's newly released tax returns show that she and Bill earned $139.1 million between 2007 and 2014, an average of $17.4 million per year. In 2014, the power couple earned $20 million in speaker fees -- 553 times that aforementioned average worker salary, 50 percent greater than the CEO ratio.
Now, not everyone here is a scientist -- (laughter) -- but some of you are among the best scientists in the world. And what you and your colleagues have been showing us for years now is that human activities are changing the climate in dangerous ways. Levels of carbon dioxide, which heats up our atmosphere, are higher than they’ve been in 800,000 years; 2014 was the planet’s warmest year on record. And we've been setting a lot of records in terms of warmest years over the last decade. One year doesn’t make a trend, but 14 of the 15 warmest years on record have fallen within the first 15 years of this century.
Climate change is no longer just about the future that we're predicting for our children or our grandchildren; it's about the reality that we're living with every day, right now.
The Pentagon says that climate change poses immediate risks to our national security [I guess the CIA didn’t get the memo].
[…]
With this Clean Power Plan, by 2030, carbon pollution from our power plants will be 32 percent lower than it was a decade ago. And the nerdier way to say that is that we’ll be keeping 870 million tons of carbon dioxide pollution out of our atmosphere. (Applause.) The simpler, layman’s way of saying that is it’s like cutting every ounce of emission due to electricity from 108 million American homes. Or it's the equivalent of taking 166 million cars off the road.
By 2030, we will reduce premature deaths from power plant emissions by nearly 90 percent -- and thanks to this plan, there will be 90,000 fewer asthma attacks among our children each year. (Applause.) And by combining this with greater investment in our booming clean energy sector, and smarter investments in energy efficiency, and by working with the world to achieve a climate agreement by the end of this year, we can do more to slow, and maybe even eventually stop, the carbon pollution that’s doing so much harm to our climate.

Iran Deal: White House Tweets to Vicious Jew-Hating ‘Hate Site’
Pamela Geller / Atlas ShrugsWhat next? Will Obama be exchanging #ILYs with Sheik Qaradawi? The White House is ….. under siege. Obama tweeting at Mondoweiss is a new low even for him and he’s the lowest. Obama’s tweet norms the unacceptable.
This cabal, this tacit understanding of hate towards Jews, is nothing new except Obama has made it US policy.

Long time Atlas readers are familiar with the vicious Jew hating fringe blog, Mondoweiss.

Iran Deal: White House Tweets to Anti-Semitic ‘Hate Site’, By Joel Pollack, Breibart, August 4, 2015

President Barack Obama and those closest to him are
"doing everything they can" to encourage Vice President Joe Biden to
challenge Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination,
former New York Times Magazine editor-in-chief Edward Klein tells Newsmax TV.
In a panel discussion Tuesday on "Newsmax Prime" with host J.D. Hayworth and Miranda Khan, the author of "Blood Feud: The Clintons vs. The Obamas," said the push is coming from the president, First Lady Michelle Obama and Obama's senior advisor, Valerie Jarrett.
"[They] are doing everything they can at this point to encourage Joe Biden to throw in his hat," he said.
Klein said he also believes Clinton is in "a kind of race against time."
"Which is going to come first, is she going to be able to sew up the nomination by just throwing more money, more organization at the primaries so that she is unbeatable – or will a criminal indictment come down from the Justice Department [over her personal email system while Secretary of State] before that fact?" Klein said.
"And they're very concerned about which is going to come first."
Political commentator Dick Morris said if a possible Biden candidacy doesn't signal any animosity between the Obama and Clinton camps, "there sure will be if Biden runs, because the inevitable dynamos of the race are going to cause it, even if nobody wants it."
