So, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has quarterbacked this policy push. AOC and her supporters say we just had to do it because…we’ll all be dead in 12 years or less. The Green New Deal is the plan. It targets farting cows, the internal combustible engine, and America’s economy. It seeks to transition us away from fossil fuels within a decade, upgrade all buildings to energy efficiency standard, whatever those may be, and totally become what progressives lust for: an intrusive government that polices the private lives of the citizenry. This is a blueprint to save the planet, they say. The problem: it does jack to save it. Emily Zanotti broke it down over at the Daily Wire:

I blame Joy Behar for the shul shooting. Her vicious attacks against the most pro-Jewish President in history and her unhinged support for the antisemitic left incite to violence.

Members of the depraved mainstream media will vilify Israel daily in favor of the Palestinians. They legitimize bigots and Israel-haters such as Linda Sarsour, Tamika Mallory, and Rogers Waters. The protest any legislation against the BDS Movement as violations of the First Amendment, and they will never condemn Islamic anti-Semitism taught in most segments of Palestinian society.

However, when a terrorist attack against American Jews occurs due (in-part) to their vicious, irresponsible, and bias coverage of Israel, an air-head such as Joy Behar will naturally blame the most pro-Jewish and pro-Israel President ever.

Deafening Silence of the Christian Kind

Their silence is indeed deafening...a roaring misplaced silence coupled with a feeling of emptiness now engulfing both Roman Catholicism and all of the other denominational Christian sects. And it's both sad and pitiful at the same time as it reeks of acquiescing and surrender to those who have always wished all we infidels dead.

And so it currently began with the Yzidi and moved on from there to the utter carnage in Africa with North Korea, Syria, Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, India and Pakistan all added into the mix...with a smattering in Egypt thrown in for good or should I say bad measure...that is until President el-Sisi threw the Muslim Brotherhood out. And, no, I am not talking political turmoil here, I'm talking about the cries of Christians going unheard and unanswered... or worse...being deliberately ignored for the Christians being slaughtered in countries a half a world away are not the seemingly accepted and approved of brand of western-style “Christian tea.”

And then there's Sri Lanka...where now being reported is up to 350 mostly Catholics dead with more than 500 wounded as Catholic churches became the latest target of muslim... yes muslim...suicide bombers. Sri Lanka...where par for the course sees the media worrying more about reprisals against muslims than it cares about the Christian dead.

And when you add in said media's complacent silence after they report on any given church bombing or torching for maybe five or ten minutes, if even that, out of the 24/7 news cycle...when you add in that the media itself helped lead a major worldwide cry-fest when 50 muslims were slaughtered in a one-man isolated terror attack in New Zealand...it should raise but doesn't seem to raise any Christian ire that the media won't report on the number of incidents or the number of Christians killed since the rise of ISIS began in 1999.

By the way that number now stands at anywhere between the upper double-digit thousands to over one million depending on the news source one references, with 12 or more Christians being killed...being slaughtered...everyday. And these numbers alone leaves one to wonder why Christian voices...no matter their domination...have not united and collectively risen up to both vehemently condemn said deaths and make clear to the world that the slaughter of Christians and the placating of their killers must indeed stop.

There's strength in numbers after all, just as there is a collective silence within those same numbers especially when “turn the cheek” takes precedence over simple common sense. Stop them before they kill all of us should be Christendom's collective battle cry...with Chislam be damned.

And that killing started with the Yzidi when ISIS expelled them from their Northern Iraqi ancestral homeland with Yzidi women and young girls being forced into sexual slavery and with Yzidi men being killed by the thousand basically just for practicing their own form of Christianity. We also know about churches being burnt to the ground with parishioners locked inside throughout some of the countries of North Africa including Nigeria, Sudan, and the Central African Republic. And dare we forget how Christianity has been deemed the number one enemy of the state in North Korea; and how in Afghanistan no other religion except islam is constitutionally allowed to exist. And in Iran it's illegal to convert or even to preach Christianity for fear of death; while in Yemen, Pakistan and India, Christians face abject persecution on a daily basis. And where Christians were once protected...at least allowed to practice their faith...both ISIS and Iran's inroads into Syria have denied the remaining Christians even that.

And yet none of this even takes into account the number of churches vandalized, defiled and sometimes burned... at times resulting in deaths...both in Europe and here in the U.S. And except for the as expected cursory remarks made in passing by but a few in the media coupled with some also in passing words of sorrow spoken by priests, ministers and pastors...it all amounts to empty words for it's words without much needed condemnation followed by a promise of tangible actions. And the reason we don't hear much about those incidents is that the majority of the media, upon the lefts orders, diverts and deflects our attention to the mundane out of fear of offending let alone naming those we more than just suspect committed such actions.

Out of fear perhaps of their being next, but then there's also capitulation of sorts as Christendom's collective silence is indeed the white flag of surrender.

A true surrender of faith in fact for nowhere in the Holy Bible does it say for Christians to be led like lambs to the slaughter. And yet we see that happening more and more with each passing day as Christians in their silence are applying first century words to today's 21st century world. Matthew 5:43-45 states, “You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven.” And while those words are heartfelt and might have served the people well in ancient days...today they are but words pretty in concept yet foolish in today's reality. And when you digest those words as they are written, in today's world...a world dominated by islamic terrorism...the words reek of the surrender of Christianity to islam...a brutal and savage enemy unbeknownst in Jesus' and Matthew's days.

And while islamic terrorism surely does also visit those of the Jewish faith, especially in Europe and most especially in Israel, there is a great difference in how the Jewish people react...they never make excuses for those who commit such acts...they fight back. “An eye for an eye” is their calling card...you kill us we'll kill you...tenfold. And it seems to work very well for the simple fact that Israel still exists while being completely surrounded by those who wish them dead. Maybe it's time the Christians take a lesson or two from God's chosen people...their “blood brothers” the Jews.

And still more and more Christians are killed everyday by the same folks who wish Israel gone from the face of the map, yet today's Christians as a collective whole seem to do nothing but wallow in self pity while forgetting that in ages past fighting back was not only expected, but accepted and welcomed as the day's norm. Remember, the Crusaders did not “turn the other cheek”...they drew blood, they maimed and killed, all while reclaiming what was rightfully part of the faith, that is until new denominations of Christianity arose... denominations so fearful of picking up the sword that over time it led not just to mere complacency but to what became the abject surrender to what is called Chislam. 

Chislam...simply a hoped for form of bribery paid-in-full so that the enemy...so that the followers of islam...won't kill too many of those of the collective Christian faith.

So how's Chislam been working out for Christianity...not too well of course.

And to break it down into simple political terms...political terms that might be easier to understand for a few...think of Chislam as being the Democrat party and think of Christianity as being America's black community. The Democrat party has made so many promises to blacks over the years yet accomplishing little to nothing to improve what many (but not all) blacks perceive as their sorry lot in life. 

In other words, Chislam and the clergy who embrace it as well as those practitioners of it, also live in a world of empty promises...in this case promises of peace and understanding between Christians and muslims...between Christianity and islam....parallel the blacks belief that the Democrat party is the answer to all their woes. And yet neither the Democrats nor Chislam has delivered on promises made for the racial divide in America is wider today than in years past and Chislam has seen no end to the killing of Christians, in fact, just the opposite as the spilling of Christian blood increases by the day.

Increases by the day, and yet for the most part Christians seem unwilling to both name the enemy...it's islam...all of islam by the way...as well as to physically fight back... instead choosing prayers alone as their weapon of choice...refusing to accept that in today's world...a world that now amounts to a terrorist's playground...prayers will get one only so far. And when you couple that with some Christian sects now too busy being at war with each other...Catholicism v. Evangelical Christianity comes swiftly to mind...as they're too busy fighting over mere technicalities, tenets and nuances of faith...making it obvious to some that these folks would rather spend time casting doubt on each other's legitimacy as heirs to Christ's church then pick up the sword and staining it with their collective enemy's blood.

And in their refusing to understand that without a here and now battle and without the spilling of said enemy's blood there very well could be no church to come home to in the end. Islam will win, churches will fall, and the Christian dead will keep piling up all because the collective of Christendom simply refused to fight back. Sri Lanka should be the rallying cry for a new Crusade of sorts, for if it's not and it becomes yet another bloodbath unanswered, then Christianity's death will become the Christians fault...I truly wonder how God our Father will feel about that.

Off-duty border patrol agent chased San Diego synagogue shooter, opened fire

The law enforcement officer was praised by President Trump on Saturday evening.

The horrific shooting Saturday at the Chabad of Poway synagogue in San Diego claimed one life, and left three others injured, including the Rabbi, on the last day of Passover. 

A 19-year-old man, John Earnest, is under arrest in the attack, that appears to have been an act motivated anti-Semitism and hatred. USA Today, CBS, an other outlets report that the killer authored a "manifesto" similar to that of the shooter in the New Zealand mosque massacre, and cited that incident as inspiration, reported Reuters on Saturday evening. 

One of the three injured victims is a one-year-old infant.

'Catch and Release' Continues As An Estimated 7,000 Illegal Aliens Have Been Dumped Into Tucson In Past Eight Months

Authorities in Pima County, AZ warn that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials are straining public resources by releasing individuals and migrant families into Tucson, AZ in absence of proper facilities to detain thousands of illegal aliens. The problem has become exacerbated now that Customs and Border Patrol have begun releasing illegal aliens into the already overburdened city as well.

According to Rafael Carranza, Arizona Republic, "Pima County officials estimate that ICE has released about 7,000 migrants in Tucson in the past eight months." This is because ICE physically does not have the space needed to keep illegal aliens in custody while they are processed for asylum claims as well as other background checks. Border Patrol typically hands illegal aliens over to ICE. But, due to ICE's over capacity, Border Patrol has simply started released migrants into Tucson as well. During a Friday meeting between Border Patrol and city officials, the two sides discussed proper ways to remedy the situation while ensuring public safety and efficient management of resources.

As we were all focused on Passover and Easter preparations and celebrations, and as the fire at the Cathedral of Notre Dame dominated the 24/7 news cycle, three other key news stories slowly started making the rounds including last Friday's political bombshell concerning former presidential candidate and now Utah Senator Mitt Romney.

So let me start by saying that I volunteered and campaigned for Romney twice...when he ran for the nomination against John McCain and when he ran for the presidency against Barack HUSSEIN Obama. Romney's message and platform were strong as well as his having political experience as the Republican governor of a blue state. He was business savvy and ever so handsome...the epitome of a loving husband and family man. I worked hard as a campaign volunteer and even got to watch Romney debate Obama at a special “invite only” debate watching party. And while I felt he was not forceful enough against Obama at certain points in that particular debate, I held out hope that he'd pull off a presidential win...he truly was the better candidate...the better man...for the job after all.

Sick: North Korea Sent the U.S. a Hospital Bill For Otto Warmbier’s Torture

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un sent the United States a hospital bill for Otto Warmbier, the young American college student who was tortured to death by the regime.

According to reporting from Fox News, the bill was never paid.

The U.S. received a $2 million hospital bill from the North Korean government for the care of American Otto Warmbier, who fell into a coma for unknown reasons while he was imprisoned in the country before he died in the U.S. in 2017, Fox News has confirmed.

Pyongyang authorities insisted the U.S. envoy sent to retrieve the University of Virginia student sign a pledge to pay the bill before allowing Warmbier’s comatose body to return to the United States, the Washington Post reported Thursday. Sources familiar with the matter confirmed the bill and the amount to Fox News.

So let me start by saying that I volunteered and campaigned for Romney twice...when he ran for the nomination against John McCain and when he ran for the presidency against Barack HUSSEIN Obama. Romney's message and platform were strong as well as his having political experience as the Republican governor of a blue state. He was business savvy and ever so handsome...the epitome of a loving husband and family man. I worked hard as a campaign volunteer and even got to watch Romney debate Obama at a special “invite only” debate watching party. And while I felt he was not forceful enough against Obama at certain points in that particular debate, I held out hope that he'd pull off a presidential win...he truly was the better candidate...the better man...for the job after all.

Never did I think Americans would be so misguided or foolish enough to elect a community organizer, let alone an islamic condoner, to the presidency of these United States. But then I never thought the liberal media would be so successful in anointing a seemingly politically inexperienced half-black man as America's supposed “saviour-in-chief.”

And sadly, I too was fooled for the man I thought Mitt Romney was back then has now morphed into nothing but the late RINO John McCain's Senate replacement. And Romney is worse than McCain for McCain's disdain for Donald Trump could be called a somewhat “righteous stand” against Trump's uncalled for POW comments. But Romney...an early critic of candidate Trump...put on a grand show of pretending to mend fences when he was asked by now President Trump to interview for the position of Secretary of State...which fortunately he did not get.

Fool me once...shame on you. Fool me twice...shame on me. Fool me three times...and it's time for me to set right a grievous wrong as my head hangs in shame for ever having supported this man. And why...because Romney never moved on from his anti-Trump stance...it grew and festered as he became just another RINO come home to the Senate to roost.

A RINO indeed for Mitt Romney could not keep his mouth shut or his tweeting finger still after reading the redacted version of the Mueller report. Choosing to criticize President Trump, his administration, and the report itself, Romney, last Friday, tweeted that he was “sickened” by the “dishonesty and misdirection by individuals in the highest office of the land including the President.”

“Sickened” by what...that no evidence of “collusion” either by Trump or his campaign was found...“sickened” that no chargeable “obstruction of justice” was found...“sickened” to such a degree that even proverbial “nice guy” former AR Gov. Mike Huckabee felt he had to jump to Trump's defense by saying that what made him “sick” was the thought that, “Mitt Romney might have become president in 2016.” 
 
But Mike Huckabee is right...for what Mitt Romney did was give the Democrats fodder to keep the “collusion” now morphing into “impeachment” nonsense going...but maybe that was RINO Romney's intention all along...payback for Trump's publicly criticizing him after losing to Obama most likely. Any thing's possible in today's heated political climate with Romney likely continuing to spew his anti-Trump rhetoric.

Next up and coming on the heels of the Notre Dame fire, the Indian Ocean island nation of Sri Lanka saw a wave of eight early Sunday morning explosions rocking three Catholic churches holding Easter services as well as three upscale tourist hotels. At least 359 people were killed (as per the latest count) with 500+ more injured, including at least two Americans (one being 40-year old Dieter Kowalski from Denver CO) and eight British citizens among those listed as killed.

Now believed to be in response to last month's Christchurch, New Zealand mosque massacre, the well coordinated attacks, as per Sri Lanka’s Defence Minister Ruwan Wijewardene, were carried out by Sri Lankan “muslim extremists” from "National Thowheed Jama'ath" (NTJ)... a local group that is both the fairly new islamist faction of the two decades old less extremist group Thableekh Jamaat, the group previously known for vandalizing Buddhist statues, and who in 2016 saw one of its leaders being arrested for “inciting racism.”

And with said attacks being highly suspected of having help from an “international terror network”...to that affect ISIS' news agency Amaq announced earlier this week on Telegram (via the NAshir News Agency) that the attacks in Sri Lanka were carried out by ISIS fighters. Also of note is that "National Thowheed Jama'ath” has on numerous occasions not only threatened to kill Sri Lankan nonbelievers but to bring islamic fundamentalism to the country as well.

And to date over 40 arrests have already been made, and two of the seven suicide bombers...including Mohamed Azzam Mohamed, who blew himself up at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel's Taprobane Restaurant as people were eating breakfast and Zahran Hashim, a well-known muslim “preacher” who claimed, “Allah created this land for Muslims”...have been identified as members of said goup. But to make matters worse, local intelligence had received warnings a full ten days prior to the attacks that “prominent churches” could be the target of suicide bombers. In fact, "National Thowheed Jama’ath" was specifically named in a police advisory to local security services as one they believed posed a threat to Catholic churches.

However, due to what he called “friction” within opposing factions of the government leadership, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe issued a statement saying that neither he nor his cabinet ministers had been notified about those warnings so little to nothing was done to keep the churches safe...safe from what Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera called “a well-coordinated attempt to create murder, mayhem and anarchy.”

Mission accomplished I'd say...mission accomplished because like within the different sects of Christianity who are constantly at odds with each other over just whose version of Christianity is the version Jesus intended...Sri Lanka has also seen religious issues arising from its own 1983-2009 civil war...a war between Hindu separatists from the minority Tamil ethnic group vs. the Sinhalese ethnic Buddhist majority. And as long as religious odds exist within a given country, islam will continue making inroads into that country whether or not they had significant numbers population wise, as now witnessed in Sri Lanka, a nation of 23 million people that currently is less than ten percent muslim...less than ten percent now but whose numbers are rapidly growing.

And as Sri Lanka starts to bury its dead, more bombs were discovered...bombs that thankfully did not go off. Found by Sri Lankan police were 87 bomb detonators at the capital of Colombo's main bus station, and on Monday a large bomb was defused on an access road leading to the country's international airport.

So as the scale of the intent to do as much carnage as possible becomes reality, Sri Lanka is being held hostage in fear of those who truly are out to kill us all.

And lastly, a big news item this week saw President Trump again standing strong not just against Iran herself but against Japan, South Korea, Turkey, China, and India saying that they will no longer be exempt from U.S. economic sanctions and could face economic penalties themselves if they continue to import oil from Iran.

Announced in a televised news conference this past Monday by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, the decision not to reissue those country's waivers when they expire this May 2nd, was made after already having granted those countries extra time...as in eight waivers...to find other oil suppliers. Being done to “bring Iranian oil exports to zero” by “squeezing Tehran’s government” of even more much needed revenue...revenue that had been $50 billion a year before the sanctions ...while at the same time trying to both force political change in the islamic nation as well as trying to get Iran to “rein in” its military actions across the Middle East, most especially in Syria.

However, while U.S. officials say they don't expect to see any significant reduction in the actual “supply of oil” given production increases by other countries including Saudi Arabia and the UAE...and with Saudi Energy Minister Khalid a-Falih saying that his country "will coordinate with fellow oil producers to ensure adequate supplies are available to consumers while ensuring the global oil market does not go out of balance"...I still must play “devil's advocate” for a bit as we must be forewarned that this move could...and I only say could...still lead to higher oil and gas prices at the pump...at least temporarily...as sometimes prices have nothing to do with “supply” but have everything to do with simple “demand.”

 

And that “demand” was reflected by Monday's global crude prices rising three percent in Asia to more than $74 a barrel, the highest they've been since October, as soon as word of what Trump was doing leaked out. And let's not forget that this move...as rightful as we feel it may be...will indeed draw the ire of some of our allies while at the same time seeing a White House shuffling of some policy priorities, including maybe putting the all-important, ongoing trade talks with China and the garnering of China's assistance in helping to contain Kim Jung-un's nuclear ambitions, on the back burner for a bit.

So while Italy, Greece, and Taiwan, three other countries also originally waivered in, have stopped importing oil from Iran, the a fore mentioned five “big boys” have not. In fact, those five have actually begun lobbying for said waivers to be extended yet again no matter that Trump said “time's up.” And as for our NATO (supposed) ally Turkey, they continue to claim that Iranian oil is critical to meeting Turkey's energy needs and that as Iran's neighbors they cannot completely cut economic ties or close its economy to Iranian goods nor can Iran's economy be closed to Turkish goods.

Well obviously they can be or else President Trump would not be doing what he is doing...as in cutting off the head of the snake while its body withers and dies on the ground. A hoped for fitting end to the mother of all snakes...Iran.

So there you have it...three of this week's top stories as we move away from Notre Dame a bit...confident that it will be rebuilt...and back we go to stories that do have a greater and more direct impact on our country than does 850-year old Notre Dame.

Iran IRGC Commander has defected to the West

This is quite a coup for the Trump administration. Best to keep him far away from the Democrats. They would return him to the murdering mullahs.

A senior Iranian military officer affiliated with the country’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, has fled the Islamic Republic with a cache of secret documents said to contain information on Tehran’s military plans, according to reports.

Ali Nasiri, a former IRGC brigadier general who once headed Iran’s counterintelligence operations, is reported to have fled Iran and requested political asylum at a U.S. embassy in an unnamed Gulf country, according to a report carried in Iran Commentary, an online news portal that publishes information about Iran’s human rights abuses and illicit activity.

Joe Biden officially launches 2020 presidential bid

Former Vice President Joe Biden, in an online video Thursday, officially declared his candidacy for president in 2020, capping off weeks of intrigue and media speculation.

He enters a crowded field of Democratic contenders aiming to unseat President Trump -- nearly 32 years after he announced his first campaign for president. The campaign is Biden’s third for the White House, having also unsuccessfully run in 1988 and 2008.

"The core values of this nation, our standing in the world, our very democracy, everything that has made America -- America -- is at stake. That’s why today I’m announcing my candidacy for president of the United States," Biden tweeted early Thursday.

With the announcement, which followed months of deliberations, Biden becomes a front-runner in an incredibly crowded field of Democratic presidential contenders all vying to face off next year against Trump.

After Supreme Court Arguments, Odds of Keeping the Citizenship Question on the Census are Good For the Trump Administration

On Tuesday the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Dept. Commerce v. New York, the case against the Trump administration for adding a question about citizenship to the 2020 census.

According to those who watch SCOTUS closely and were in the room, it looks like the Trump administration is on the way to a win.

In Supreme Court arguments on adding a citizenship question to the census, all signs pointed to the usual 5-4 split, meaning that the court’s conservative majority is poised to allow the question.
