Despite Claims to the Contrary, Science Says Fracking Not Causing Increased Earthquakes

People in seven states, from South Dakota to Texas, were awakened Saturday morning, September 3, by Oklahoma’s most powerful earthquake in recorded history. The 5.8 tremor was centered near Pawnee, OK. Several buildings sustained minor damage and there were no serious injuries.

That we know.

What we don’t know is what caused the quake—but that didn’t stop the alarmist headlines from quickly blaming it on “fracking.”

Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein promptly tweeted: “Fracking causes polluted drinking water + earthquakes. The #GreenNewDeal comes with none of these side effects, Oklahoma. #BanFracking”

A headline in Forbes stated: “Thanks to fracking, earthquake hazards in parts of Oklahoma now comparable to California.”

The Dallas Morning News proclaimed: “Oklahoma shuts down fracking water wells after quake rattles Dallas to Dakotas.”

NEW YORK – It’s Sept. 26, and Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are at Hofstra University on Long Island in front of a live television audience, set to square off for the first of three presidential debates.

As moderator Lester Holt of NBC introduces Clinton, a camera zooms in on the Democratic Party presidential nominee. Suddenly, Clinton collapses, sending her medical handlers rushing to her side. Out cold, Clinton is removed from the stage on a gurney in front of the stunned Hofstra audience and tens of millions of viewers at home.

That’s the nightmare scenario that, according to high-level Democrat power brokers on Wall Street and in New York City law firms and unions speaking to WND on condition their names be withheld, is causing panic among top party operatives and donors.

The key question is this: What assurance can the Clinton campaign give to the party that the health of its candidate won’t continue to be an issue?
 
The top Democratic Party politicos in New York City have decided they can no longer rely on a two-page report of good health put out by the campaign, insisting it’s time to replace Clinton’s current medical team with A-list professionals, which are readily available in New York City.

If top medical experts decide it’s likely Clinton will suffer another fainting spell, regardless of the treatment she is given, the mood among New York Democrats is that now is the time to find a replacement.

Obama marks the MUSLIM holidays of 9/11 and Eid al-Adha with a call to accept even more MUSLIM refugees

Barack Hussein Obama marked the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha  which began on the evening of September 11th with a call for the U.S. to welcome as many MUSLIM refugees and immigrants as he can cram into the U.S. before he leaves office.

State Department Refugee Processing Center data show that of the now total 11,491 arrivals this fiscal year, the vast majority – 11,300, or 98.33 percent – are Sunnis. JUST 54 of the 11,491 – 0.46 percent – are Christians, even though Christians are the most persecuted people in Syria by ISIS. They comprise 14 Catholics, six Orthodox, four Protestants, one Greek Orthodox, plus 29 refugees identifying themselves simply as “Christian” rather than by denomination or sect.

Since Obama’s goal of 10,000 Syrian refugee admissions in FY 2016 was achieved on August 29, the number continues to pick up steadily. August ended with a new monthly record of 3,189 Syrian refugee arrivals, and a further 751 have been ushered in so far in September: 749 Sunni Muslims; two Catholic Christians.

 

Washington Times  “We are reminded of the millions of MUSLIM refugees around the globe who are spending this sacred holiday separated from their families, unsure of their future, but still hoping for a brighter tomorrow,” Mr. Obama said in a statement.

“And as a nation, we remain committed to welcoming the stranger with empathy and an open heart — from the refugee who flees war-torn lands to the immigrant who leaves home in search of a better life.”

 

The administration earlier this month exceeded its goal of accepting 10,000 Syrian refugees fleeing their country’s civil war. Mr. Obama’s quota was opposed by lawmakers in both parties of Congress and many governors, amid concerns over terrorism.
