Was It Legal For The NYT To Release Trump’s 1995 Tax Return?

Was It Legal For The NYT To Release Trump’s 1995 Tax Return?
The media and the Democrats are going nuts over Trump’s 1995 tax return. It shows that the Republican nominee could’ve avoided paying the IRS for almost 20 years due to a staggering $916 million in losses. The New York Times reported on this finding over the weekend. They obtained the three-page return indicating that Trump utilized the net operating loss provision, which “allows a dizzying array of deductions, business expenses, real estate depreciation, losses from the sale of business assets and even operating losses to flow from the balance sheets of those partnerships, limited liability companies and S corporations onto the personal tax returns of men like Mr. Trump.”

The fact of the matter is what Trump did was legal. There’s no real story here. Moreover, it offers an incomplete financial profile of Trump. Yet, there’s another level to this story. Was this even legal for The Times to release publicly? Tax returns are a highly sensitive matter that requires approval prior to disclosure. Obviously, The Times did not get that sign off from Donald Trump. The law is very clear here, and The Hill’s Joe Concha took the publication to task for sacrificing their ethics to publish this story. He also took the newspaper’s executive editor, Dean Baquet, for failing in the integrity department regarding this position in media:
Striking Down Obama's Climate Legacy Has Its Day In Court
President Obama’s flagship policy on climate change had its day in court on Tuesday, September 27. The international community is closely watching; most Americans, however, are unaware of the historic case known as the Clean Power Plan (CPP)—which according to David Rivkin, one of the attorneys arguing against the plan: “is not just to reduce emissions, but to create a new electrical system.”

For those who haven’t followed the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) rule, here’s a brief history that brings us to up to date:
  • EPA published the final CPP rule in the Federal Register on October 2015.
  • More than two dozen states and a variety of industry groups and businesses immediately filed challenges against it—with a final bipartisan coalition of more than 150 entities including 27 states, 24 trade associations, 37 electric coops, 3 labor unions, and about a half dozen nonprofits.
  • On January 21, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia denied a request for a stay that would have prevented implementation of the rule until the court challenges were resolved.
  • On February 9, the Supreme Court of the U.S. (SCOTUS), in an unprecedented action, before the case was heard by the lower court, overruled, and issued a stay that delays enforcement of CPP.

Pentagon spent hundreds of millions of dollars for fake al-Qaeda videos
There weren’t enough real ones? The Pentagon could think of no better strategy to track al-Qaeda jihadis than to produce propaganda for the enemy? The Obama Pentagon has lied repeatedly to the American people to give them the impression that U.S. efforts against the Islamic State have been more effective than they really have been. […]

George Soros Tied to Scheme That Let Illegals Vote in Virginia

Pamela Geller / THE GELLER REPORT

Once again, the black hand of George Soros is tied to an initiative that helps illegals at the expense of citizens – this time, in Virginia.

What’s going on?

Election officials in the state are apparently helping illegals obtain OKs to vote via fraudulently processed registrations, Breibart reported. And the coverup is being funded by groups tied to Soros, the news outlet found.

Read the shocking story, excerpted from Breitbart:
“Virginia’s election officials are enabling illegal registration and voting by foreign citizens, according to an extensive new study, titled ‘Alien Invasion in Virginia,’ by a former Department of Justice civil rights lawyer.
“‘Virginia election officials don’t seem to care...
