Kevin McCarthy accuses Democrats of seeking to ‘silence parents’

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy took aim at a new Department of Justice policy intended to crack down on alleged “threats of violence” against school officials, saying it was part of an effort by Democrats to muzzle parents.

“President Biden’s latest decision is part of a disturbing trend in the Democrat Party to silence parents,” McCarthy said on Twitter Tuesday. “We should encourage family participation in our schools, not baselessly attack opposing views because leftist groups want control over curriculums.”

At issue is a new DOJ effort to combat an alleged increase in violence and threats directed at schools boards and other school officials. Many parents have been attending meetings across the country to voice their displeasure with COVID-19 restrictions and the use of critical race theory in curricula.

“Threats against public servants are not only illegal, they run counter to our nation’s core values,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said of the effort in a statement Monday…Read more and see tweet and video here.

And proof of this came courtesy of Biden's spokes-mouth Jen Psaki's recently spewed words that “monoclonal antibodies” do “cost much more than vaccines,” and that the Biden administration's distribution plan was aimed at “achieving equity" among the states. How I detest that racially implied, deliberately divisive word “equity” for it implies that Florida and our governor was taking treatment away...taking monies away...from minorities in other states...something which is an out and out lie...something that now sees the Biden administration “rationing,” for political reasons alone, this truly life saving treatment...

Idaho Lt. Gov. Just Issued an Executive Order on Vaccines While Governor Was at Border

Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin took advantage of the time Gov. Brad Little was gone this week at the southern border by trying to pass her own agenda in his absence.

McGeachin, who’s trying to unseat Little in 2022, signed an executive order that bans vaccine mandates and requiring Covid-19 testing in state schools.

In a statement, Little said he did not authorize her to do that.

"I am in Texas performing my duties as the duly elected Governor of Idaho, and I have not authorized the Lt. Governor to act on my behalf," he said. "I will be rescinding and reversing any actions taken by the Lt. Governor when I return." 

This isn’t the first time McGeachin acted when Little was away. In May, she issued an executive order banning mask mandates. Little called the move an “abuse of power” and rescinded the order. Read entire article and see tweets here.
