Another Climate Alarmist’s Predictions Don’t Match Real-world Data
Despite reports of the mismanagement of the important water resource, USA Today responded to the news by proclaiming: “Due to a long drought and climate change, Lake Mead’s water levels continue to fall.”

Brad Udall, a senior water and climate research scientist at Colorado State University, and brother to former Colorado Senator Mark Udall and cousin to New Mexico Senator Tom Udall, declared: “This problem is not going away and it is likely to get worse, perhaps far worse, as climate change unfolds.” According to the Desert Sun, he added: “Unprecedented high temperatures in the basin are causing the flow of the river to decline.”

Udall previously stated: “Climate change is water change. The two go hand in hand. Heat drives the water cycle. …You have to invoke temperatures to explain the current drought.”

Great: Syrians, Palestinians Buying Fake Honduran Identities to Get Into US
It’s not just the U.S.’s porous borders with Mexico Americans have to worry about, it’s also corrupt immigration officials in other countries that should be a major cause for concern.

According to a new report from Honduran newspaper La Prensa, officials in the country are being paid off to register foreigners as legal residents, which gives them access to documents that can then be used to enter the United States and other western nations.

The Center for Immigration Studies reports (emphasis mine):
Honduras' National Registry of Persons (RNP)confirmedthat hundreds of Palestinian, Syrian, and citizens of other Arab nations were fraudulently registered as Honduran citizens. As a result, these foreigners can then acquire Honduran passports, which can be used to apply for visas to enter to the United States.
On Sunday, La Prensa, a Honduran newspaper, revealed the illicit sales of Honduran identity documents to Palestinian and Syrian citizens. La Prensa's investigation was anchored on the case of a Palestinian, Kareen Samer Abdulhadi.

Obama’s Hiroshima Visit Draws Rebukes from North Korea, China
“Japan is the country that began the war."

North Korea called President Barack Obama’s visit to Hiroshima on Friday “childish,” while other Asian nations sought to remind the world that Japanese expansionism was a root cause of the war the bombing of Hiroshima helped end.

The state-run Korean Central News Agency, which regularly attacks Obama and the United States, called the trip “a childish political calculation.”

“Even if Obama visits the damaged city, he cannot hide his identity as a nuclear war fanatic and nuclear weapons proliferator,” the North Korean news agency said, adding that, “Obama is seized with the wild ambition to dominate the world by dint of the U.S. nuclear edge.”

Obama’s trip also brought out long-simmering outrage in China. The city of Nanjing, China’s capital before World War II, was the site of a massacre China says killed 300,000 people and Allied estimates claim killed 142,000 people. Some Japanese historians insist the incident never happened at all.

“It is worth focusing on Hiroshima, but it’s even more important that we should not forget Nanjing,” said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

ISIS spokesman: Islam “was not a religion of peace even for one single day”

Pamela Geller / Atlas Shrugs

isis rocket launcherNon-Muslim Western leaders continue to insist that they know better, and that ISIS spokesmen don’t know anything about Islam — while ISIS continues to gain recruits among Muslims who know better.

“Islam not a religion of peace even for a day, says ISIS’ Indian recruit,” by Vicky Nanjappa, OneIndia News, May 24, 2016:
Bengaluru, May 24: Islam was not a religion of peace even for a day was the message given out by Abu Salha al Hindi, a former Indian Mujahideen operative who features now in a video that was released allegedly by the ISIS.
A video that is over 10 months old was released by members of the ISIS from India in what is being seen as a desperate attempt to spread their propaganda in the country.

Thank you.

Memorial Day 2016: Remembering AfghanistanI had to shut down my computer the other day after reading about all the brave soldiers who've joined the ranks of the "forever young" in Afghanistan. It's been a long 15 years.War is not for the fainthearted, or the impatient. I am guilty on both counts, but I am not alone in my feelings as I come to understand the cost of war extends far beyond America's diminishing treasure. With scant media reports about the positive impacts of our presence in Afghanistan and a Commander-in-Chief who checked out before he took office, it's easy to mistake Afghanistan as a total loss. A cursory glance projects a dysfunctional nation infested with godless, faceless, soulless lunatics who will stop at nothing to "kill all infidels."

And it is also easy to politicize a war. Those who encouraged us to "cut and run" revealed their own cowardice and will forever bear the guilt associated with the loss of untold innocent lives. But those who invested their blood and treasure can take credit for the good. You gave Afghanis hope, before Democrats took it away.

As reported in The American Interest, "the Democratic Party solidly opposed the surge and supported the deadline. In September 2009, 62 percent of Democrats opposed Obama's impending surge decision, and 63 percent of Republicans supported it...The war in Afghanistan was never as politically unpopular as the war in Iraq...until the President started to telegraph his disbelief in the mission."

Memorial Day - 2016 [This is the 15th anniversary of this edition of Mullings which was first written for Memorial Day, 2001 - four months before 9/11. Our son, Reed, was then a young member of the team in charge of President George W. Bush's visit to Arlington Memorial Cemetery on that day.]
---
We went to Arlington National Cemetery to attend the annual Memorial Day observance.

The entrance to Arlington National Cemetery is directly across the Potomac River from the Lincoln Memorial. These two historical, mystical, sites are connected by the Memorial Bridge.

At the entrance to the Cemetery there is a sign which asks visitors to keep in mind the true nature of this place:

Welcome to Arlington National Cemetery

America's most sacred shrine.

These are hallowed grounds.

The Mullings Director of Standards & Practices and I made our way up and down the curving walkways, past the small groups of school-aged children and their chaperones listening to docents working to inspire groups of students.

War stories can inspire the next generation of young Americans to grow up with respect for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their freedom. If these stories are not shared, they will die. Pull up a chair to the bonfire, gather your family around—and tell a story that will impact young hearts and minds forever.

Prayer and Kamikazes

I had one grandfather in the U.S. Navy and another in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Both were nearly killed in Kamikaze attacks. Kamikazeswere Japanese fighter planes packed with explosives and flown by suicide pilots.

My grandfather in the Navy was a gunner on the Fletcher class destroyer USS Franks (DD-554). Franks garnered nine battle stars during WWII. Fun fact: Franks carried the very first Navy SEAL rescue diver, Mel Collins, who risked his life to dive deep into the sea and battle high waves to retrieve U.S. Navy pilots after their planes were shot down.

One day, a kamikaze plane emerged out of the sky and barreled straight toward Franks. My grandfather said the entire crew on his ship began praying—thinking prayer was their last hope. Sure enough, the kamikaze pilot missed the ship and landed in the ocean. My grandfather recounted how the pilot began waving his arms and screaming for help—even though he had just tried to kill himself and every American onboard Franks. But the admiral told his men, “Shoot down that SOB.”
On Memorial Day

 This and every Memorial Day
Honor them always and NEVER FORGET their sacrifice.
May they Rest in Everlasting Peace.

De Blasio Forces Businesses to Acknowledge New Gender Identities or Face FinesIn December, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio introduced the Gender Identity/Gender Expression Legal Enforcement Guide for businesses, requiring them to acknowledge 31 gender identities.

This week, the city's Commission of Rights outlined a new list of gender pronouns, including terms such as “bi-gendered,” “femme queen,” “genderqueer,” and “gender gifted.” Should employers fail to recognize these identities, they will face thousands of dollars in fines.

“The Commission can impose civil penalties up to $125,000 for violations, and up to $250,000 for violations that are the result of willful, wanton, or malicious conduct,” the commission's report reads.

Here is just one example of what the commission cites as a violation.
Prohibiting an individual from using a particular program or facility because they do not conform to sex stereotypes.  For example, a women’s shelter may not turn away a woman because she looks too masculine nor may a men’s shelter deny service to a man because he does not look masculine enough.
De Blasio is the latest PC police chief to bully citizens into bowing to social justice. America’s ultimate social justice warrior, President Obama, sent a letter to public schools earlier this month demanding they enforce new bathroom and locker room guidelines for transgender students. Boys who identify as girls and vice versa can use whichever facility they feel comfortable in, regardless of birth certificate, the White House ordered. In other words, inclusivity was more important than safety.

Parents were outraged, but that means little to politicians who have a politically correct agenda.

New York businesses are going to be walking on eggshells thanks to the mayor's new policy. With the ever changing gender dictionary, how are employers to know if they’re being insensitive or not? One wrong word and they could be thousands of dollars poorer.

DePaul Islamic chaplain has praised Anwar al-Awlaki and other jihad terrorists
That this jihadi would have a job at DePaul or any American university shows what a radioactive wasteland of filth American academia has become. DePaul (and other universities) wouldn’t hesitate to employ a man who openly praises jihad terrorists, but they wouldn’t be caught dead hiring an outspoken foe of jihad terrorists. 9/11 Families BETRAYED: Schumer Upends 9/11 Saudi Suit Bill at 11th Hour

Pamela Geller / Atlas Shrugs

SchumerPoliticians of both parties rush to do the Saudis’ bidding. America could stand a chance if we could find any politicians willing to stand up to the sinister House of Saud.

“Schumer upends 9/11 Saudi suit bill at 11th hour,” by Paul Sperry, New York Post, May 24, 2016:
Last week’s unanimous passage of a Senate bill making it easier for 9/11 families to sue Saudi Arabia and other foreign terror sponsors was widely heralded as a major victory.
It’s more of a cruel hoax.
It turns out that just before the vote, Sen. Charles Schumer and other proponents of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act stuffed an amendment into the final draft allowing the attorney general and secretary of state to stop any litigation...

A Love for Our Troops Not Seen Today

As we start Memorial Day Weekend, remember that no matter how you feel about George W. Bush as president, he so-loved and honored out troops  with all his heart and soul...and he still does.
How our troops must miss that man...how I miss that man.

Confusing Main Street with Wall Street
This is a problem?

Many union members vote Republican. They were the core of the “Reagan Democrats.” Working people need a growing economy with increasing opportunity. Of course they should vote GOP.

Bloomberg’s remarks help explain the rise of both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump. Average people increasingly believe the current system to be rigged against them. Washington is far more responsive to well-heeled elites than the middle class and working people.

Of course, politics always has meant attempting to take advantage of one’s fellow citizens. It was that way in ancient times. It was that way in colonial Great Britain. And it is that way in America today.

Business, especially big business, always had an advantage in influencing government. It certainly has been that way in Washington. Even so celebrated a founder as Alexander Hamilton pushed policies which benefited the financial interests of his day.

SHOEBAT EXCLUSIVE! Muslim pilot of Egypt Air 804 allegedly converted the plane into a portable mosque and said farewell before he crashed the plane into the ocean

EgyptAir5Bare Naked Islam

More evidence from the Arabic media is arising to show that the pilot of Flight 804 might have committed suicide. He converted the plane into a makeshift mosque, used the equipment to tell passengers the direction of Mecca, had a last supper and said “farewell” as if ‘we who are about to die salute you.’ He called his brother before take-off telling him to ‘pray for him’ as he was going for martyrdom. He had connections with one of the most radical preachers and terror supporters in Egypt.

WALID SHOEBAT  We start off with testimony of Osama Abdel Basset, the captain in charge of the air hospitality in Egyptian Air says it all: “The Captain Mohammed Shakeer, the pilot of that fateful flight” had organized a “last supper” knowing he is about to die.”

Mohammed Shakir, pilot of the downed EgyptAir Flight 804, displayed some very disturbing behavior before his aircraft plunged into the Mediterranean SeaMohammed Shakir, pilot of the downed EgyptAir Flight 804, displayed some very disturbing behavior before his aircraft plunged into the Mediterranean Sea

“He called on his colleagues before the incident a few days to lunch at his house hinting that the end is near, the end of his life that is and that he is ready to meet his maker and gave his farewell. He was bidding them [his friends] farewell with words that came out of his mouth for the first time in his life.“

On Memorial Day
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots on americanpbn.com

Monday is Memorial Day and while many will go to the beach or enjoy a hearty barbecue, let’s NOT forget the real reason for this most special and solemn of days…to remember and to honor those who put their lives on the line for our beloved country…those who made the ultimate sacrifice for a purpose they believed was greater than themselves…a purpose of keeping us safe and free at home.

And while political battles continue in DC and across the nation, Memorial Day offers us the chance for all Americans…NO matter our race, creed, color, religion, party affiliation, or presidential candidate of choice…to unite together and remember the one thing we all we have in common...gratitude...gratitude for those who served…gratitude for the brave men and women who proudly wore but sadly died wearing our nation’s uniform…gratitude so that we can go to that beach and can enjoy that barbecue.

On Memorial Day there should be NO hyphenated Americans (nor should there ever be)…just Americans bowing their heads together in prayer as the flag of these United States is raised throughout this great nation, and then as it's solemnly lowered to half-staff. On this day let us remember the more than one million American patriots who gave their lives in service to this country. And when the flag is once again raised high at noon we must also remember to NOT allow their sacrifice to be in vain for a nation that forgets its true heroes is a nation that loses its soul.

Memorial Day is a day when we should teach our children the importance of the sacrifices made by so many to ensure their freedoms and the freedoms of generations to come.

Memorial Day is a day when many Americans will visit cemeteries or memorials nationwide to place small flags at the base of the headstones of the fallen to let them know they are NOT forgotten.

Memorial Day is a day to honor the remains buried at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier for while he, brave soldier whomever he may be, is home resting on American soil he is NOT with his loved ones, but serves as a reminder of the many who NEVER made it home, and should remind us that there are still some left behind who must be brought home.

Memorial Day is a day when the Pledge of Allegiance should take on a renewed meaning, and should reawaken in us all the realization that we do live in the greatest nation the world has ever known, and remind us that some things are indeed worth both fighting and dying for.

Memorial Day is a day to honor courage for while those lost in battle knew fear, they sacrificed with courage of heart and strength of conviction, something that must NEVER be forgotten for without knowing fear there can be NO courage and without courage there can be NO victory. Those who gave all deemed their love of country and duty to freedom were of greater value and more important then the fears they faced in dying.

Memorial Day is a day to also honor the very freedoms those lost in battle gave to each and everyone of us…the freedom we have in our beloved America to act, speak, and think as we so choose without hindrance or restraint…a freedom we intend NEVER to lose…a freedom we will fight for with just as much passion, dedication, determination, and courage as those who sacrificed before us…for we will NOT allow their sacrifice to be forgotten nor will we allow our freedoms to be taken away.

NO…we will NEVER allow their sacrifice to have been in vain.

Memorial Day is a day for prayers for those lost…a day for honoring their memories NOT just with tearful remembrances but also with a smile…a day to rediscover the meaning of what our military fights and dies for…our liberty, our safety, our individual rights guaranteed us under our Constitution, and the continuing American story of which we all play a part in.

So on this Memorial Day I will bow my head in solemn prayer and thank and remember those who made that ultimate sacrifice to keep our nation free…and pray to God that someday…”nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” (Isaiah 2:4)

Someday…someday soon I pray, and may God Bless America today and always.

At This Point, It Should Make All the Difference

It seems the more this campaign moves forward the less popular Clinton is -- even to Democratic voters, as polls show Bernie Sanders now in a statistical tie with her in California. This does not make me sad, but it should scare the pantsuits off Democrats.

There's ample reason for Clinton's unpopularity. She's dishonest, unlikable, corrupt, arrogant and so much more. Can you imagine being so smug from a lifetime of unpunished misconduct that you feel legally immune and politically invincible? But her fate could finally change.

At issue is Clinton's use of her personal email account to conduct official business while secretary of state, a practice she has casually passed off as routine.

The State Department inspector general issued an audit report blistering Clinton for flouting federal records "rules" and cybersecurity guidelines and for refusing to cooperate with the IG's investigation. Though the report acknowledges "longstanding, systemic weaknesses" in the State Department, it singles Clinton out for far more serious violations.

Judicial Overreach: Small Court, Big Economic RamificationsJudicial overreach is moving beyond a theoretical political debate, as one Delaware state judge could throw the livelihoods of nearly 4,000 people into uncertainty and have sweeping ramifications for other major American employers.

TransPerfect Global is by almost any measure a successful company, with more than $500 million in revenue and more than 3,500 fulltime employees. It’s the world’s largest privately-held translation software company, with offices in 90 cities. The company itself doesn’t seem dysfunctional – managing to be quite profitable despite litigation between the co-founders. However, Delaware Court of Chancery Chief Judge Andre Bouchard ruled the company must be sold because the co-owners can’t get along, and he will soon make a determination on the sales process.

While this might seem like one small state judge’s opinion, it affects more than just TransPerfect and has a reach well beyond Delaware. That’s because this small state is the incorporation capital of the world. Because of state laws that make it easy to form a corporation, lower taxes and fewer regulations, more than 50 percent of publicly-traded companies and 65 percent of Fortune 500 companies are incorporated in Delaware. The New York Times previously reported that 285,000 corporations – including Walmart, Coca-Cola, American Airlines, and JP Morgan Chase list their location at a single address in Wilmington.

The state’s laws have not only been a boon for Delaware state revenue, but it’s what numerous multi-national corporations have come to rely on. Nothing can send tremors through the economy more than uncertainty – and this court ruling can only create uncertainty for so many of the nation’s biggest employers.
