The Navy Yard shooter...

From the official FBI web site...
Gee...will Sharpton and Jackson open their BIG mouths about this...or make excuses for him.

President Obama ignored questions Thursday relating to Vladimir Putin’s NYT op-ed. However, the Russian president’s article, which he addressed “to the American people and their political leaders” did not slide by without a response.

Jim DeMint, former South Carolina Senator and current Heritage Foundation President, took it upon himself to pen a letter back to Putin Friday, explaining “the commander in chief of the world’s only superpower” has been “very busy.” He gave his own take on American Exceptionalism:

“America is an exceptional nation—that is, one like no other, not just now but in history—because it is dedicated to the universal principle of human liberty. This is grounded in the truth that all men—not just Americans—are created equal and endowed with inalienable rights by their creator.”

The text specifically addressed Putin’s warning that it is “extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation.” This blow was aimed at President Obama’s closing remarks in his address to the nation on Syria.

DeMint pointed out that the principle of equality, what he sees as the foundation of American exceptionalism, is enshrined in our very Constitution. A document we at least adhere to—unlike other nations it seems:

“We understand...that in Russia today, the rule of law is easily ignored and that you’ve managed to remain in complete power since 2000, even though your country’s original constitution supposedly limited you to two consecutive terms.

Adhering to different leadership approaches has not deterred the United States from framing a “joint determination” Saturday to destroy chemical weapons in Syria.

Yet, 60 percent of Americans do not trust Russia very much or at all, according to the Pew Research Center. China, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were the only countries to score lower in the nine-country test.

If anything, Putin’s op-ed has made him more vulnerable to scrutiny. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Thursday that Putin’s commitment to moving Syrian chemical weapons under national control is significant:

“Russia is Assad’s patron and protector, and the world will note whether Russia can follow through on the commitments that it has made.”

We will all be watching to see how this episode unfolds.
His words say one thing yet his policies say another.  If you aren’t listening closely you might not hear the contradiction in everything Obama says and does.  Not only recently with the erratic and mystifying policy with Syria, but just about every day with his speeches about “income inequality”, “the richest 1% not paying their fair share” and the always reliable, “I’m trying to help the middle class”.

Is he really?  Let’s take a look at what has transpired since Barak Obama has been in office.

Emmanuel Saez, a University of California economist did a study that shows that since the Obama “recovery” started in 2009, the average income of the top 1% (and I am not talking about people in the $250K range), has increased by 11.2% in real terms through 2011.  Whereas the bottom 99% saw their incomes shrink by 0.4%.  121% of the gains have gone to the top 1% under Obama.  Since the left loves to bash President Bush, they should look at the stats for the years under his control.  In 2002-2007, the top 1% only took in 65% in income gains during his expansion.

This economic inequality has gone up every year Obama has been in office and now stands at an all-time high.

Redistribution of wealth is not the answer.  It doesn’t affect the 1% and it never trickles down to the 99%.  When is the left going to get the message?

Obama bashes the rich in his speeches to the American people; he fuels the fire for his class warfare by agitating people and making them believe that they are not getting “their fair share”.  However, behind closed doors, he placates his buddies and makes sweetheart deals with them, probably telling them not to worry; he just has to play the game.  After all, he bailed out big banks, shoveled billions to GM, wrote huge checks to “green energy” companies, and increased the size of federal bureaucracy making bureaucrats richer.  He has made it easier for illegals to come in and work which hurts the working poor, and he has made being a lawyer for wealthy corporations a booming business!  With all of the regulations being imposed on businesses large and small, being an attorney in D.C. seems like a good bet.

If he really was going after the rich, do you think they would party with him in the Hamptons, have mega fundraisers for him in Hollywood or become members of his trusted administration?  Not on your life.

So who suffers in all of this?  Yes, “technically” the poor are getting poorer, but they have a safety net of entitlements that provide them with income pretty close to what they would get if they were working.  Between unemployment, food stamps, disability, and low-income housing, they struggle but have a safety net.

Not so for the middle class American.  For the guy or gal who graduates college and wants to look at starting a business or get a job, the prospects look dismal.  There aren’t many jobs out there for one thing, and if they want to start a business and happen to live in a state like California, they take one look at the hoops they need to jump through and the regulations they will face, and the idea doesn’t seem so appealing.

Even if they do manage to start up, they are hit with endless rules and regulations, taxes, paperwork and other obstacles that make business a nightmare.  If they want to buy a home or refi the one they have, the rules for the middle class are far different than they are for low income or underwater borrowers.

The top 1% (and I don’t mean $250K), doesn’t need to worry as much about these things.  They have loopholes and legions of lawyers, accountants and Washington lobbyists that can cut sweet deals.  If the cost of business cuts in to profits, then cutbacks will be made. That is how business works. If government puts too much of a burden on them, then they will raise prices and pass it on to the middle class who can’t use an EBT card to pay for it.

When Obamacare kicks in, the wealthy will get to keep their healthcare.  So will Congress, staffers, and others who got waivers from Obama. I guarantee the Unions will be next.  The poor will get government subsidies to pay for Obamacare, but what about the rest of us?  What about those of us who don’t have any influence in Washington, don’t have a voice that listens to us in Congress?  We will be the ones who bear the brunt of the skyrocketing costs and premiums.  No sweet deals for us.

This whole scenario will eventually take us to the point where the middle class is completely squeezed out.  If you are fortunate enough to break through and become part of the 1% you will sit with Obama and the other elites.  If not, you will run as fast as you can on the treadmill until finally you just get tired of being taxed and regulated to death and succumb to being just one of the 99%.

Instead of Obama raising people up and giving them the freedom to prosper, he is succeeding in creating a permanent underclass that he and his fellow elitists can control to their hearts desire.  The government will provide them everything they need, even a $15 an hour minimum wage if need be so that they don’t aspire to anything higher.

Obama and the left want complete control.  Fortunately the middle class still has a grasp on some of that control, but day by day it is slipping away.

The Great Divide And Chaos Governance

The Great Divide And Chaos Governance
There is an ever-widening divide between the statist elected class and its enforcers (government) and the mundanes, or hoi polloi.

The general populace would prefer to go about its daily business without interaction with or interference from anyone in or representing government. That is because government on almost all levels is at best oppressive, intrusive, unsympathetic and autonomic.

There is now an awakening and growing recognition that the U.S. government is self-serving, unrepresentative and supererogatory and that it needs to be reined in. The divide and awakening are best demonstrated over the past couple of weeks in the reaction of the people to the possibility of Syrian intervention.

President Barack Obama and his neocon toadies have been desperate to make a case for military intervention in Syria in order to fulfill the will of their globalist masters. I explained why this is so last week.

However, the mundanes recognized the folly and hypocrisy of such an endeavor. The United States has been embroiled in Mideast wars against radical Islamists, jihadists and the CIA-created terror organization al-Qaida for decades.

The people bought into the notion sold by the elites that the wars were necessary to protect American freedoms and export democracy to regions that had known only oppressive theocracy or totalitarianism. They suffered the expenses of nation building under the false notion that the radicals and Islamists might come to either like the U.S. or at least stop hating the U.S. for its “freedoms.”

So when Obama and warmongers like Senator John McCain and his lackey Senator Lindsey Graham embraced al-Qaida-backed “rebels” in Syria — a group of violent and barbarous fanatics who are slaughtering Christians; raping, beheading and dismembering women and children: eating the hearts of vanquished foes; and executing surrendered captives — the slumbering masses looked up from their entertainment devices and began confronting the elected class en masse.

By more than four to one (and, according to some in Congress, 10 to one), the people came out against taking sides in the Syrian conflict and especially against aiding those committing the atrocities. The people recognized that the entire Syria narrative is a lie. They are coming to understand that the lie expands to Libya as well as the reasons given for deposing Moammar Gadhafi and the excuses provided to explain the attack on the Benghazi consulate and the murders of CIA agent Chris Stevens and three others attached to the gun-running operation that was transferring arms to the Syrian rebels.

It is attempts to keep this operation under wraps and out of sight that are behind the Benghazi cover-up and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s screed before Congress that the incident didn’t matter.

The mundanes are finally recognizing that decades of war have led to the expansion of the intrusive spying apparatus and the growth of the surveillance state. Revelations by Edward Snowden that the NSA is collecting and reading all telephone calls, emails, text messages and electronic data from every American served to give pause to even the most ardent supporters of the big government nanny state.

Of course, the divide first manifested itself in public in the fall of 2008 and early 2009 when the masses recognized the fix was in and that the banksters and Wall Street were getting special dispensation during the economic crash, while the people were getting shafted. This dispensation was made possible only by the Federal Reserve’s inflation of the money supply — a subtle means of theft from the people.

Talk of bailouts sparked the rise of the Tea Party, a disparate group of patriotic small-business owners, blue- and white-collar workers, military veterans, homemakers and retirees who opposed first the bailouts then the monstrosity of legislation that came to be known as Obamacare, then other oppressive and unConstitutional government actions.

In 2010, the Tea Party was successful in removing some of the old guard of the elected class and installing some of their own in government. Though some of the newly elected lawmakers turned out to be wolves in sheep’s clothing, many of the Tea Party-backed Congressional candidates continue to work to disrupt the old guard party apparatus and attempt to reign in big government, much to the chagrin of the statists.

The elected elites responded to the rise of the Tea Party with slander and special targeting by several government agencies like the Internal Revenue Service and the Environmental Protection Agency.

The people are now using the 10th Amendment and their State legislatures to roll back oppressive and unConstitutional Federal laws and to combat illegal “executive orders” issued by the undocumented alien currently occupying the people’s house. In Colorado, voters just dismissed two statist gun grabbers — an event unprecedented in Colorado history. Voters are also seeking to secede from that State, as well as from California and Maryland.

As Obamacare nears implementation and the mundanes finally begin to grasp what some of us have been warning about since before its inception, their opposition to it grows. However, the old guard of the elected class is resisting acting as the opposition party and working to defund it. In fact, the members of the elected class are effectively thumbing their noses at the mundanes by exempting themselves from its provisions, even as Obama has exempted many of his sugar daddies and favored constituent groups.

It is telling that even the union leaders who ardently supported the passage of Obamacare are now echoing the mundanes in calls for the law’s repeal. Yet statists and progressives in both parties continue ignoring the will of the people.

The U.S. government is currently experiencing a collapse of its moral, economic and legal foundations. The collapse was inevitable from the establishment of the Federal Reserve. The elites created fiat paper money. With it, they have polluted the planet and put the people at the mercy of a cannibalistic bloodlust of dog-eat-dog depravity.

Just think; America’s top 1 percent income earners took up 8 percent of total income in 1970. Today, this same 1 percent takes up 17.4 percent of overall income. No wonder they promote the stock market, with $175 billion in dividends being paid out by the top companies.

Economic depression brings on this kind of inequality. The United States has the highest income inequality in the world. Hey, where are the jobs the political psychopaths have been promising? They have disappeared into the black hole created by the U.S. fascist system, overregulation and Obamacare.

The constant chaos and crisis-mode governance are both symptoms and expediters of the collapse. As the collapse intensifies, the statists and progressives will intensify their oppression. The divide between the people and the elected class and their enforcers will continue to grow.

The collapse will be ugly, especially for those who — blinded by normalcy bias or just ignorance — aren’t prepared. Once we come through the fire, then, I believe, Constitutional governance and a sound money system can be restored.

Report: Putin to travel to Iran for nuclear strategy talks

From Jihad Watch / Posted by Robert Spencer

Iran insists that its nuclear program is peaceful. This yet again shows that to be false. Now that Obama has been proven before the world to be weak and incompetent, the Iranians, with help from the sly Putin, are ramping up their nuclear efforts. "Report: Putin to travel to Iran for nuclear strategy talks," by Reza Kahlili for the Daily Caller, September 14:
Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted Iran’s invitation to visit Tehran to work out a strategy for the Islamic regime’s nuclear program, Fars News Agency reported Saturday. The West believes the Iranian program is a front for developing nuclear weapons.
Putin, seen by Iran’s clerical establishment as a strong opponent to America and the West — especially after his successful political play on averting a U.S. missile strike on Syria — was approached by Iran to protect the Islamic regime in the face of continued pressure by the West over its illicit nuclear program. Russia and the U.S. reached agreement Saturday to take control of Syrian President Bashar Assad’s chemical weapons arsenal by mid-2014.
Fars, the media outlet run by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, said Putin will soon travel to Tehran, although details of the trip have yet to be announced. Fars said Iranian President Hassan Rowhani issued the invitation to Putin on Friday while both leaders were attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said the Russian president accepted.
“Russia could possibly take new steps in solving the Iranian nuclear dossier,” Rowhani said. “The Russian initiative in relation to the Syrian chemical weapons and the steps taken by the Syrian officials provide this hope that a new war can be averted in the region.”
“Russia looks at Iran like a good neighbor,” Putin was quoted as saying. “I am very happy meeting the new Iranian president and personally congratulate him for his [recent presidential] victory. … We are aware of the opinions on the world’s stage in relation with Iran’s nuclear program; however, we have to also consider that Iran is our neighbor, a good neighbor.”
There were conflicting reports last week that Russia might increase its arms sales to Iran should Syria be attacked, including the delivery of its sophisticated surface-to-air missile system, the S300.
The Russian newspaper Kommersant had reported that Putin had decided to deliver five battalions of the S300s should Iran withdraw its claim of $4 billion in damages due to a breach of an original contract by Russia signed in 2007 worth $800 million.
In September 2010, then Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, under pressure by America and the West, signed a decree that banned the delivery of the S300 systems to the Islamic Republic. Iranian leaders, infuriated by this action, then filed a complaint against Russia’s arms export company, Rosoboronexport, with the International Court in Geneva.
Both Russia and Iran have strongly supported Syria’s Bashar Assad, with Iranian leaders warning that any intervention in Syria would cross a red line.
Meanwhile on Saturday, the leader of Iran’s proxy militia group in Iraq, Al-Mukhtar, warned that if America at any time attacks Syria, its forces would attack the oilfields of Saudi Arabia, thereby cutting off the “economic jugular” of the West.
“America’s attack on Syria will be the end of Saudi Arabia because the Saudi leaders promote the Syrian attack,” Wathiq al-Battat said, according to Keyhan newspaper, which is directly supervised by Iran’s supreme leader....
Common Core...stealth jihad directed at America's children
By: Diane Sori

While we're all focused on the Middle East right now, especially on Syria, a form of stealth jihad is sneaking into our country...a form of which affects all states...all schools...and all our children...and it's name is Common Core.

Forced on the states by the Obama administration ...enabled by Obama's federal stimulus law... Common Core is starting to be implemented this school year in the 46 states that have adopted it, thus eliminating local control over the kindergarten through12th grade curriculum in those states.  The adoption of Common Core means that teaching becomes a one-size-fits-all affair that will NOT address the needs of the 'special needs child'...neither the gifted child nor the slow learner...because NO deviation from the standard norm in teaching is allowed.

And there will be NO escaping Common Core as its curriculum and teaching methods will also apply to private schools and the home schooled. In fact, many Catholic and other private schools are adopting Common Core in preparation for college-entrance exams...exams that will be based on Common Core criteria.

Simply put...the truth about Common Core is that it will revamp America's public educational system and NOT for the better as Common Core also allows for a rewriting of American history, with the new curriculum and accompanying textbooks showing a definite slant and bias towards islam, while at the same time mocking or ignoring America's Judeo-Christian roots and values.

And with one of its most in-your-face leftist agenda aspects, the Common Core curriculum has, for example, replaced the world's great literary works with what's called 'informational texts'...another name for government propaganda. Shakespeare, Hemingway, and the other literary giants will be replaced by 'informational texts' extolling the virtues of same-sex marriage, abortion, drug use, and the all-important acceptance of all things islam.  Students in the lower grades will now divide their time between literature and these leftist writings until high school, when literary works will make up a mere 30% of English/Language Arts instruction.

And the teaching of math under Common Core guidelines means getting the right answer just does NOT matter anymore as long as the student can explain the faulty reasoning they used to get to that wrong answer.  2 + 2 = 5 is OK...just explain how you got that answer.  And Common Core puts many students mathematically two years behind those of many high-achieving countries. For example, Algebra 1 would be taught in 9th grade NOT 8th grade as previously taught, making calculus inaccessible to them in high school, and this would affect top-tier college entrance requirements.

Also, contrary to the traditional American belief that justice is based on individual rights, Common Core teaches 'Social Justice' meaning teachers must teach that America is an unjust and oppressive society that should be changed.

And the most unbelievable of all is that Common Core is using our public schools, Catholic schools, and private schools to indoctrinate our children into islam.  'The Five Pillars of Islam' are an integral part of Common Core teaching beginning in pre-k and lasting through the12th grade.  For example, students have muslim beliefs lessons where they must watch videos, research pre-selected web sites, complete worksheets, and create posters about the duties of muslims.

I wonder if that includes a muslim's duty to wage written in the qur'an.

And even with all this, Common Core still self-promotes itself as a fair and just universal set of educational standards that will unite all students under a common learning system...under common leftist political beliefs...with a curriculum in place that proponents say is designed so that every student graduating from high school is prepared to either enter college or the workforce.  But what proponents do NOT tell you is that Common Core actually lowers school standards negating the very thing they promote themselves as doing.

And Common Core is far from the educational panacea that most dissatisfied with our public system of education hoped for as Common Core remains...NO matter how it's packaged and sold...a one size fits all form of education that ignores the fact that each child is unique...each child's learning skills or lack thereof is unique...and each state's educational guidelines are unique.

In fact, Common Core is actually 'dumbed-down' education with less teacher responsibility than ever before as there is NO incentive to reach for higher standards, as all states will be judged by the same mediocre national benchmark enforced by the federal government...the Obama federal government.

So while Common Core proponents are in total support of the already 'too much in control' federal government setting even more educational standards than they already do, they fail to accept the fact that the federal government should NOT be involved in public education at all nor should they be setting any educational standards as public schools should be under state, county, and local auspices with standards set within each school district to meet the needs of the students going to school in said district.

And when you add in the specific negatives in how Common Core was implemented 'red flags' should be waving in the faces of every parent with school age children...'red flags' waving because Common Core was pushed through state legislatures by unelected bureaucrats who created the Common Core 'standards' using monies garnered from special interests groups...meaning there was NO legislative vote by elected officials reflecting the will of the people or the will of the parents.

And in addition to all the educational negatives, schools that have implemented Common Core have government permission to collect private data on each student including religion, medical, and psychological info, and to do so WITHOUT parental consent.  WITHOUT parental consent... meaning once again the federal government is butting into our personal lives and doing so without a warrant or just cause...doing so simply because they can.

Also, Common Core does NOTHING to address how teachers actually teach for even with Common Core standards in place teachers will still be teaching to the test...maybe NOT the same tests that are now in effect...but standardized tests nevertheless...with the end result being that parents and teachers will have even less control over their child's education than they do now.
So with a curriculum so deviated from the much needed basics...reading, writing, and arithmetic... with a curriculum that reeks of the leftist liberal political agenda...and with a curriculum that smells of Agenda 21 indoctrination....Common Core should be rejected by all school districts for the sake of our children...for Common Core is rotten to its very core.
