Acute.

It’s a word one doesn’t hear often, and more often than not, it’s associated with some medical terminology. Acute nasal drip. Acute arthritis… something along those lines but the word acute has a specific definition.

Acute – adjective: acute; comparative adjective: acute; superlative adjective: acutest

1. (of a bad, difficult, or unwelcome situation or phenomenon) present or experienced to a severe or intense degree.

I want you to keep that definition front and center as you read what’s coming next and it will light your hair on fire. In fact, keep it in mind throughout this shocking 4 part series of articles regarding government land grabs as it becomes more than abvious the “problem” isn’t at all what the government wants you to believe.

The Obama regime, his DOI (Dept. of the Interior) and the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) are plotting behind closed doors to grab even more land in the western United States because, they are convinced there is an…“acute” problem of private landholdings in BLM administered areas to the sum of 412,675 acres, and no, we’re not talking about Bunkerville here but, we might as well be.

So…of all the vast expanse of land out there, what’s a measly little 412,675 acres? In the great scheme of things, it’s only an inch on the scale.

Give em an inch…they’ll take a mile…right?

BREAKING: John Kerry Subpoenaed Over Benghazi Stonewalling

Secretary of State John Kerry has been subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee after new revelations this week about the September 11, 2012 attack in Benghazi. The State Department has been accused of "illegally withholding subpoenaed material" from Congress, action that could "constitute a criminal offense." Kerry is expected under the subpoena to testify at a May 21 hearing on Capitol Hill.

And the “The State Department’s response to the congressional investigation of the Benghazi attack has shown a disturbing disregard for the Department’s legal obligations to Congress,” Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa wrotes in a letter to Secretary Kerry. “Compliance with a subpoena for documents is not a game. Because your Department is failing to meet its legal obligations, I am issuing a new subpoena to compel you to appear before the Committee to answer questions about your agency’s response to the congressional investigation of the Benghazi attack.”

The subpoena comes on the heels of new emails obtained and released by Judicial Watch showing Senior White House National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes altered Benghazi talking points. The emails were obtained through a Judicial Watch FOIA lawsuit and have been withheld from Congress despite multiple document requests, a potentially criminal offense.

“The fact that these documents were withheld from Congress for more than 19 months is alarming,” Issa wrote. “The Department is not entitled to delay responsive materials because it is embarrassing or implicates the roles and actions of senior officials.”

In the letter Issa reminded Kerry of his commitment to getting the truth about the Benghazi when former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton left office.

"Just weeks before taking over for outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, while serving as Chairman of the Senate Foreign relations Committee, you expressed a commitment to obtaining the full record of facts related to the deadly September 11-12, 2012, attack on U.S. diplomatic facilities in Benghazi, Libya. You said, "From the very beginning of the Benghazi events, every member of this Committee has shared with the President and Secretary Clinton our determination to get all of the facts about what happened and why in Benghazi." You aligned yourself with a similar, previous commitment from the President," Issa wrote.

5 Ways Liberals Hurt The Poor

Democrats have long since realized that people who are poor and dependent on the government will vote for them, even if it is their liberal policies that created the poverty and dependency. That's why every ghetto in America is controlled lock, stock, and barrel by liberal Democrats. Unfortunately, so many destitute Americans have yet to realize that liberal policies don't fight poverty; they maintain it.

Perhaps the worst thing about that is the betrayal of the poor people involved. Most of them are just having a hard time and looking for a little help to make life easier for themselves and their families. Little do they realize that the "help" the liberals are offering is akin to a drug dealer offering them a free sample. Not every liberal intends to "hook" the people they're "helping" on poverty, but they're certainly not very upset when it happens. The more poor dependent Americans there are, the more votes liberals get; the more needed they feel, the larger the budget becomes for the non-functional, big government programs they support.

Liberals have a lot of perverse incentives to keep as many Americans poor as possible and they respond to those incentives in a big way.

1) Overuse Of Welfare Programs: Americans are a generous people and most of us are fine with having a safety net that helps people who get down on their luck. The problem with liberals is that they do everything humanly possible to turn that safety net into a hammock. They oppose limiting the amount of time people can be on the programs along with drug testing and work requirements. Obviously, encouraging people to get comfortable on the dole is bad for the country, but it's even worse for the people involved. It's one thing to get in a tough spot, take assistance for a few months, and then get back on your feet. But, spending years or even decades on the dole? It's a trap that will make you dependent on the government while utterly ruining you as a human being. There was a time when even the staunchest liberals agreed with this sentiment. Conservatives disagree with Franklin D. Roosevelt on a lot of things, but he was absolutely right when he said,

The lessons of history, confirmed by the evidence immediately before me, show conclusively that continued dependence upon relief induces a spiritual disintegration fundamentally destructive to the national fiber. To dole our relief in this way is to administer a narcotic, a subtle destroyer of the human spirit. It is inimical to the dictates of a sound policy. It is in violation of the traditions of America. Work must be found for able-bodied but destitute workers.

2) Supporting Illegal Immigrants Instead Of American Workers: While there are certainly Republicans who've been paid off by the business lobby to support illegal immigration, Democrats almost across the board are in favor of allowing as many illegal immigrants as possible into the country. If illegals were primarily taking jobs as reporters, college professors, and lawyers, liberals would ferociously oppose illegal immigration. But, since they're taking jobs that would otherwise go to poor Americans, liberals don't care. There are millions of poor Americans who are out of work simply because they can't work as cheaply as an illegal immigrant who doesn't have health care, doesn't pay car insurance, and who can lie on his taxes with impunity. Moreover, there are millions of other poor Americans who are making a few dollars less per hour because they're in a field full of illegal aliens who can work for less per hour because they don't have the same costs. Few policies would do more to put poor Americans back to work than getting rid of the foreigners who are breaking the law and cheating the system in order to steal their jobs away.

JERUSALEM, Israel — A week after rival Palestinian factions Fatah and Hamas signed a reconciliation deal, senior Hamas officials say a unity government won’t change anything.

Senior Hamas leaders Khaled Meshaal and Mahmoud al-Zahar said they remain committed to jihad (“holy” war) against Israel.

“Our path is resistance and the rifle and our choice is jihad,” Meshaal said by audio-conferencing to the 1,000 attendees at the funeral of Adel and Imad Awadallah. “There is no past or future without jihad and resistance. Jihad is our path.”

The Awadallah brothers were at the top of Israel’s most wanted list in part for masterminding a suicide bombing at a Tel Aviv café and the kidnapping and murder of an IDF soldier in 2001 during the Second Intifada (armed uprising).

Israel handed over their remains more than 16 years after they were killed in a fire fight on the outskirts of Hebron.

The funeral was the largest gathering of Hamas followers in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) in years.

Meanwhile, al-Zahar said Hamas will not take orders from Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas nor will the deal change their strategy.

“The reconciliation deal will not change Hamas at all and will not bring the organization to recognize Israel’s right to exist,” the Times of Israel quoted Zahar from an interview in the Egyptian paper Alyoum Sabaa.

Israel also turned over other terrorists’ remains, including those of the suicide bomber who killed 15 Israelis, including seven children, and wounded 130 others at the Sbarro pizza restaurant in Jerusalem in 2001….

Hopeless: Obama bashes America while bemoaning islamophobia

Is there anything that Obama doesn’t hate about America?

His relentless attacks on this country are unending — never seeing the good, never seeing the glory, always twisting the wonder of this great nation into something evil and ugly. The man is a wretched soul.

During one of Obama’s specious proclamations, he pounded, yet again, the myth of islamophobia:

“Even today, South Asian Americans, especially those who are Muslim, Hindu and Sikh, are targets of suspicion and violence.” Sheesh. Not according to FBI statistics that tracks hate crimes. Muslim hate is way down: eleven percent were anti-Islamic, but the large majority 63% were anti-Semitic in nature. And not a word about the worldwide suffering in the wake of jihad attacks across the globe. Tens of thousands of attacks, incalculable human suffering …. not mention the hundreds of jihad attacks thwarted here in the States.

On the day that Benghazi blitzkrieg bombshells, he is spewing this bile against this great nation; “from the overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii and its devastating impact on the history, language and culture of Native Hawaiians….”

I warned of Obama’s antipathy towards America in my book, The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration’s War on America back in 2009. He was raised on it. His worldview was shaped early, as he was growing up in Indonesia by a subversive and detached mother, and then in Hawaii by his grandmother after his mother dumped him there.

Obama reiterated his determination to pass comprehensive immigration reform that would modernise the legal immigration system, create a pathway to earned citizenship for undocumented immigrants, hold employers accountable, and strengthen the border security.

He said with courage, grit, and an abiding belief in American ideals, Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders have challenged the Nation to be better. 

“Nearly 5 years ago, I re-established the White House Initiative on AAPIs. The Initiative addresses disparities in health care, education, and economic opportunity by ensuring Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders receive equal access to government programs and services,” Obama said.

Top GOP Senators Seek Obama's Whereabouts During Benghazi Attacks

Three top Republican senators asked President Barack Obama on Friday to disclose where he was during the 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi that killed four Americans.

The letter was from Sens. John McCain of Arizona, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, and Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire. It comes a day after former National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor told Fox News that Obama was not in the Situation Room in the White House's basement following events as they occurred on Sept. 11, 2012.

"Over a year and a half has passed since the terrorist attacks, and the American people still do not have an accounting of your activities during the attack," the legislators, members of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in the letter. "Mr. President, can you now confirm that Mr. Vietor's account of your absence in the White House Situation Room is accurate?"

Vietor told Fox on Thursday that Obama was in the Oval Office in the White House when he first learned of the attacks.

"It is well known that when the attack was first briefed to him, it was in the Oval Office, and he was updated constantly," Vietor told Fox.

He added that did not know where the president was at all points in the night because he does not have a "tracking device on him."

Vietor said that Obama did not have to be in the Situation Room to continuously monitor a a developing situation.

The issue of Obama's whereabouts that night came up in testimony before the House Armed Services Committee in February 2013.

Leon Panetta, who was Defense Secretary at the time, told senators then that the president was absent, but that they had met in a pre-scheduled meeting at 5 p.m. The session lasted 30 minutes.

He testified that he and Obama spent about 20 minutes discussing the situation that was just unfolding in Benghazi.

But, otherwise, Obama left operational details, including knowledge of what resources were available to help the Americans under attack, “up to us” — meaning Panetta and Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Obama did not call back to check further developments, Panetta testified, "but we got information that the ambassador, his life had been lost, it went to the White House.”

Panetta said that he did not communicate with anyone at the White House after the earlier meeting.

The letter from McCain, Graham and Ayotte was among several fast-moving developments on the Benghazi attacks on Friday.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., subpoenaed Secretary of State John Kerry to testify about emails released by Judicial Watch this week showing that Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes advised former U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice to link the attacks to an anti-Muslim video.

In addition, House Speaker John Boehner said the chamber would vote next week on creating a select committee to investigate Benghazi.
