The Article I Wish I Never Had to Write

I write this article to honor the wishes of Yarden Bibas, the husband of Shiri Bibas and the father of Ariel and Kfir Bibas, the two young children who were savagely murdered while in captivity at the hands of Hamas. And even through his grief Yarden Bibas...after having seen his children's bodies being returned and identified... asked an IDF spokesman to let the “entire world know” about the “horrific manner” in which Ariel and Kfir met their end. And so in their and their dear mother Shiri's memory I dedicate the very article I wish I never had to write.

And here I begin with the words of Benjamin Netanyahu, who upon hearing that Hamas did not, at first, return the body of Shiri Bibas as per the ceasefire agreement, and that they had also savagely murdered Shiri and Yarden's two young sons, lead him to state, “As the prime minister of Israel, I vow that I will not rest until the savages who executed our hostages are brought to justice. They do not deserve to walk the earth. Nothing will stop me. Nothing.” And to that I say no truer words spoken for the sooner Hamas and all who support them are eliminated, the sooner both some semblance of healing and the working towards a true and lasting peace can finally begin...Read entire article and see video here.

AG Pam Bondi says FBI delivered 'truckload' of Epstein files after she put out hard deadline

Epstein files will be dealt with 'as fast as we can,' Bondi said

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed that the Department of Justice has received more Jeffery Epstein files from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after the document release she touted last week fell flat. 

Speaking to Fox News host Sean Hannity on Tuesday night, Bondi confirmed that a "truckload" of Epstein files were delivered by the FBI after she gave the agency until 8 a.m. on Friday morning to deliver them. 

"I gave [the FBI] a deadline of Friday at 8 a.m. to get us everything," Bondi explained. "And a source had told me where the documents were being kept, Southern District of New York, shock. So we got them all by Friday at 8 a.m."

"Thousands of pages of documents. I have the FBI going through them...and Director Patel is going to get us a detailed report as to why the FBI withheld all of those documents," she continued. Read more and see video here.

Republicans Might Have a Nuclear Option for Making the Trump Tax Cuts Permanent

The Trump tax cuts will be a cornerstone of the current budget reconciliation process, where the House and Senate GOP are bound to duke it out over deficit concerns. Senate Republicans already said they will not agree to any plan that doesn’t make the 2017 tax breaks permanent. The House GOP wants corresponding spending cuts (via Bloomberg Government):

 

" Trump wants his tax cuts extended permanently to boost the economy over the long haul. Senate Republicans say the House’s plan undermines that goal. The dispute centers on how the Congressional Budget Office will be required to calculate the cost of the tax cuts. As both chambers plan to negotiate a bicameral budget framework, the debate over tax-cut permanency is the main sticking point among Republicans. 

 

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), a conservative who lauded the House’s focus on spending cuts, said the House’s framework is “just not adequate” when it comes to tax-cut permanency. Read more here.
