Obamacare Pushes Two Million More People Into The Uninsured Line

When Obamacare was sold on a pile of lies back in 2010, President Obama promised the American people his signature piece of legislation would lead to more health insurance coverage, not less.

He also promised those currently covered by health insurance plans would be able to keep them and their doctors.

Now as the Senate gets down to the wire on an Obamacare repeal and replacement bill, new data from Gallup shows an additional two million people have been pushed out of the insured market this year alone.

The number of U.S. adults without health insurance has grown by some 2 million this year, according to a major new survey that finds recent coverage gains beginning to erode.

The new numbers highlight what's at stake as Congress returns to an unresolved debate over Republican proposals to roll back much of former President Barack Obama's health care law.

Poland to buy Israeli-made Patriot missiles

Poland has signed a memorandum of intent with the United States to buy the Patriot missile system along with interceptor missiles from Israel’s David Sling missile defense system in a deal worth close to $8 billion.

“A memorandum was signed tonight that the US government has agreed to sell Poland Patriot missiles in the most modern configuration,” Polish Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz said on Thursday.

In light of ongoing tensions in eastern Europe following Russia’s occupation of Crimea, and ongoing fighting in the Ukraine, Poland has been modernizing its military, spending over $14.5b. on acquiring new weapons and military equipment, including new aerial defense systems.

The deal with US defense contractor Raytheon, which would see Poland buy eight Patriot missile defense systems, is expected to be finalized in November of this year.
