Our Republic...A Fleeting Memory Indeed

...And so with the 2024 election...and most specifically first with the primaries...probably being the determining factor in regards to not just “We the People's” future...economic and otherwise...but the future of our Constitution as our governing rule of law...votes hopefully will be cast not just based upon one's passions or emotions nor upon the misused concept of “loyalty,” but with the understanding that no one man or woman nor one political party alone can stop or counter the weight of ongoing political shenanigans coming from both sides of the political isle.

Remember the old adage, “it takes two to tango”...well we are now bearing witness to infighting not just within our own party but within the Democrat party as well. Double the trouble for them is ten times the trouble for us, and this is especially true when candidates in both parties keep bantering about the aforementioned word “democracy”...the very word...like the word Jesus...never once appearing in the Constitution itself...the very word that negates our system of "checks and balances" of power and replaces it with the previously stated concept of “mob rule.” And if the candidates themselves...no matter their party affiliation...do not know this simple fact, then truly God help us all for Reagan's “A Shining City on a Hill” will become but a memory...Read entire article here.

Gov. Youngkin fires back at school district defying policy on gender identity: 'Parents are in charge'

The Virginia Department of Education updated its policies on gender identity

Gov. Glenn Youngkin, R-Va., responded to a school district announcing it wouldn't use the new model policies set by Virginia’s Education Department (VDOE), saying it is the law and the district "doesn’t have a choice" in the matter. 

Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) released a statement last week stating that it would stick with an older policy that addresses the "rights of transgender and gender-nonconforming students" because it is "consistent with both federal and state anti-discrimination laws."

The VDOE’s 2021 model policies for school districts allowed transgender students to use bathrooms and school facilities that matched their gender identity as well as required teachers to use students’ preferred gender pronouns, according to the Washington Post. Read more and see video here.

From state officials to private companies, the response to the Maui wildfires has been nothing short of shambolic. No one can do their jobs; everyone has exhibited inordinate amounts of heinous bedside manners. Has anyone here taken a communications course because the Maui disaster chief resigned hours after he basically said he didn’t trigger the alarm system because it wouldn’t have saved the people who were burned alive.? The mayor of Maui is a walking nightmare, incapable of giving the media accurate reports of who is missing. 

Gov. Josh Green, whose office just saw the deadliest wildfire in over a century occur under their watch, lectured about how social media is the root of all evil after his administration got dragged for their incompetence. One of the state’s water commission officials was more concerned about equity as the fires burned Maui to ash. Joe Biden’s sense of prioritization is abysmal. Hawaii’s elected officials might be worse.
